5 out of 5 eggsTech Heaven

Pros: Easy to understand bios. I Love being able to use my mouse to navigate there. My mouse wheel would not scroll the bios screen down but arrow keys where fine to do that. Settings and tweaks and options are why I buy ASUS. Usually you get a computer and a bunch of programs and bloatware you just delete. I installed all the extras and use all of them still. These additions do make it better than the competitors. The QFan feature allowed great tuning of my fan speeds. After it ran my computer went silent. My family kept stopping by to try and hear it..

Cons: Nothing bad yet, they seem good; for what I had expected to receive, quality wise. SATA ports plug in from strange direction, it is more of an irritation than a problem.
Need a usb drive to leave in the computer so bios well save all changes and versions previously employed in testing / refining things.

Other Thoughts: Windows update rekeased yesterday ending in 355 crashed many computers. Mine was one of them. I eventally had to restore a point weeks ago and the issues began again so I reinstalled 8.1 created many restore points in my setup and get it ready stage. I then used Acronis True image 14 to create a single solid backup of all partitions. It also saved all the minor tweaking I had done to the system. Now the backup system is running and task scheduler makes restore point abd registry backup each successfull boot. Updates are off. Hopefully smooth sailing now!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great for the 2 builds I have in the field.

Pros: Corporate Stable MB.
I use the dual monitor output.
Easy to set-up.
MemOk! Button.
Units are used at business locations.
One units has been working error free for three and the other unit for six months. Customer is happy with the speed of the units.
Like all ASUS boards I use. I plan to get 5+ years out of if history is any judge.
Good price point.

Cons: Only one PCI slot on the motherboard.

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this MB.
Stay away from all the additional garbage software which comes on the DVD.
Just load the driver software. The simpler you keep things the better the MB(s) will run.
Unless there is good reason or the MB is having problems don't update the BIOS. This can open up a whole can of worms. From what comments I read many people do not know what they are doing when updating a BIOS.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Board

Pros: The board has a very nice UEFI graphical BIOS with lots of features and custom tuning options. FM2 socket is great since I bought the Kaveri A10-7850 and should be great for any future upgrades. Supports 2133 DDR3 and maxes out at 64 GBs (great for upgrades). This board came with BIOS version 10 but it was easy to update through the BIOS. Just downloaded the current version from ASUS support page to a USB prior to installing anything and flashed it right to the board from the BIOS after everything was installed.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: If you are going to purchase this board take a little time to prepare and download all the necessary drivers prior to installation and save yourself some unnecessary stress and ASUS some unwarranted bad reviews.

3 out of 5 eggsThey Got It!

Pros: At least the web page is working now. Will report on the board when I get it!

Cons: The new web site is not intuitive. It's like a lot of things these days BETA

1 out of 5 eggsI was

Pros: None

Cons: The Web Page Is A Joke!

Other Thoughts: I was going to buy one until I checked out the (Tried TOO Anyway) Drivers download page. I own a few Asus boards which I just found out I cannot access any drivers on. The New Web Site Is A Disgrace. I will never buy a Asus Board Until I Can Download drivers Etc Freely. This is the biggest screw-up Ive ever seen Except Maybe by the GOV.

4 out of 5 eggsEverything Works

Pros: Finally got BIOS to update. ASUS Tech Support lead me to the proper support page that the .CAP file I needed was one. I'm happy with my purchase.

Cons: Tried to OC my ram to 2400Mhz & BIOS wouldn't start till I reset it. I think its my fault for not knowing how to OC.

Other Thoughts: I wish ram OC was easy xD

1 out of 5 eggsBIOS Killed Me

Pros: Everything worked as advertized. Albeit Asus AI Suite 3 did npt want to install. EXCEPT

Cons: BIOS Wouldn't Update. I'm "MAD" me and my friend tried 5+ utilities and methods to try to update BIOS. EZ Flash, EZ Flash 2, BIOS Updater DOS, Crash Free 3 (had to have a corrupt bios for that to even work so...we could crash our own bios). Linux work around. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WORKED. Kept giving me "Security Verification Failed". Absolutely no help on the internet and all the .CAP files where from the official site. No support page for the A88X-Plus CSM version. No ASUS Tech Support. Might see if one of the nearby tech campuses have a fm2 apu that might help, BUT i'll have to buy Thermal Paste & alcohol, which is making me madder.

Other Thoughts: I'll never recommend a ASUS mobo unless we can get this fixed. I planned on getting a $200 Hero for a upcoming Haswell build, but now i'm having second thoughts.

Manufacturer Response:

1 out of 5 eggsupdate

Pros: Nice feature set

Cons: No digital output on video. Only analog via D-Sub

Other Thoughts: Have purchased 3 of these boards. None will output digitally via HDMI or DVI. All work fine with D Sub. Waiting on ASUS to RMA on 2 for the second time. The third, I returned for credit.

5 out of 5 eggsnice little board

Pros: looks cool, chipset is good, supports amd 2400 MHz ram in AMP mode. that ram really makes the A10 7850K come to life. does overclock both gpu and cpu but the gpu overclocking is not as easy to do as you would hope.

Cons: overclocking options were not as plentiful as I had hoped. coming from a crosshair V formula it makes sense why I was expecting more.

Other Thoughts: had no problem installing win 7 with the new A10 even with the stock bios. I updated it anyway though

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: * No issues with my Kaveri (A10-7850K) using this board
* I for one, like the color scheme as it matches my gold ADATA ram
* Supports 2400 DDR3
* Super easy to update the bios (which you'll need to do for a Kaveri build)

Cons: * Doesn't seem to have any sensors recognized by lm-sensors, but you can see accurate temperature information in the UEFI.

Other Thoughts: After reading all of the reviews on here I was really nervous that this case wouldn't work with the Kaveri APU I bought with it. Out of the box it was running BIOS version 0601 which does not support the A10-7850K. However, I had prepared a flash drive with BIOS revision 1102 in advance and was able to get into the UEFI and flash the BIOS before even attempting to boot the OS. With revision 1102 I have not encountered issues with the A10-7850K.
