1 out of 5 eggsBroken after a month

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: NOT durable

Other Thoughts: So I received this item on Oct 20. Now, it's Nov 21. The durability is exactly 1 month. When I wake it up from the sleeping mode, monitor won't light up. So I troubleshooted everything and make sure it wasn't my monitor/graphic card/CPU/RAM/HD's problem. Now, I can't even boot up the PC. A piece of JUNK.

3 out of 5 eggsMediocre cheap board

Pros: Works OK for Windows 7 64 bit

Cons: No USB 3.0
Unable to get wireless networking reliably, either with a PCIe card or USB adapter. Seem like this board + Win 7 is only good for an ethernet connection. Will probably have to buy a new motherboard because I don't trust this combination.

Other Thoughts: Bought this as part of a bundle, I will never do that again. Clearly Newegg trieds to offload sub-standard parts this way.

1 out of 5 eggsNo BIOS?

Pros: None

Cons: The BIOS on mine failed and when I had spent a whole week trying to get an RMA from Asus to send it in for warranty, someone there told me it cost more for the RMA than it did for the board in the first place. I was thrilled when it arrived at my door yesterday since I thought either they repaired my defective board or the sent a replacement, but the BIOS is still not functional. I STILL get nothing but a black space with a yellow arrow in it. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER ASUS PRODUCT EVER AGAIN.

1 out of 5 eggsFirst Asus Board Failure

Pros: Quad Core APU competitive with older Quad Core CPUs. Fits in a light weight ATX case that will not fit full sized ATX boards. It failed before I sold it to a customer...

Cons: BIOS failed after 3 and a half months. CrashFree BIOS 3 Utility does nothing to recover it. Hitting F2 as instructed results in nothing but a black screen. And waiting for it for a couple hours makes no difference.

Other Thoughts: This is the one and only Asus board I have had fail on me - either motherboards OR daughter boards. Without the ability to open setup, the system is stuck in this order: HDD, Optical Drive, USB Drive. Therefore the OS cannot be changed because the PC cannot boot from DVD. Nor can I change it to USB first to have it boot from USB fob to recover the BIOS. Disconnecting the hard drive just results in "operating system not found" instead of recovery from the support disc as the manual states it may be.

1 out of 5 eggsBad

Pros: Small, easy to install

Cons: This Motherboard is not a good choice for those who are going to be using Windows 7 32 or 64 bit systems, the computer crashed the second i attempted to install the chipset drivers, it wouldn't even let me update the audio or LAN drivers.

Other Thoughts: Go with MSI for a decent board around the same price.

Manufacturer Response:

4 out of 5 eggsCheap and it works.

Pros: Cheap and it works.

Cons: The power, led, reset cables are right under a full size video card. It works, but looks like It could have a stress failure on the case's cables.

Other Thoughts: Doesn't have any advance specs like WiFI, USB 3. But it worked as expected.

1 out of 5 eggsFaulty Motherboard?

Pros: It is an "okay" motherboard, but I have yet to see it in action.

Cons: Motherboard could be faulty. Tried starting my computer, front panel power switch will blink when I press it, but won't stay on. I know there's nothing wrong with the front panel.

Other Thoughts: Could I send in my motherboard for a replacement?
