5 out of 5 eggsReally good board

Pros: Can SLI
Has plenty of USB 3.0 slots
Features are nice
EZ OC feature is nice
Solid, haven't had a problem yet

Cons: Wish I could have 2 GPUs SLI and also fit a Wi-Fi card, but oh well, it is a Micro ATX board.

Other Thoughts: Unless you plan on going crazy, you don't need an ATX board, MicroATX or ITX will suffice.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Great motherboard overall. Nice compact micro atx motherboard. It's just as good as the atx motherboad in my gaming computer. Overall I like it

Cons: The rear I/O. Goodness sakes. Watch out for pushing the motherboard into the rear I/O panel. I had a really hard time making it fit properly.

Other Thoughts: I still recommend it. Love Asus

5 out of 5 eggsStill going strong

Pros: I've used this mobo in several different builds over the last year now. Just purchased another one a few weeks ago and it is working great. Nice clean bios. No problems with it at all. Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo fits no problem.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Coming up on a year of ownership and still works flawlessly. Regular bios updates. Zero problems.

Cons: Nothing substantial. Could come with the Q-connector like other ASUS boards. Slightly more expensive than competing brands with similar features.

Other Thoughts: Has been running a 4790k for 11 months and counting with Zero problems. Good support from ASUS over the life of the product.

4 out of 5 eggsNot the greatest.

Pros: - Amazing looking board.

- Many nice features.

- mATX boards are hard to see with things like this.

- UEFI BIOS is awesome!

Cons: - No SLI (not such a big deal)

- PCI should be PCIe x1 (at least one of them)

- Find of flimsy, weak heat sinks, I felt like I was going to tear it off.

- Finally, the last PCIe x16 slot is at the very bottom, this is the reason why there is no 5 stars (see Other Thoughts for why).

Other Thoughts: Alright. I used this board for my first PC Build. I do like my build and I am proud of my achievements. Now, at first, I was going to get a GIGABYTE MOBO, but I found the ASUS MOBO and thought to myself, I love the UEFI BIOS and it overclocks like a beast. Now I really want to give this board a higher score. But I know this board is not worth a 5 star. It is much higher than a 4 star, and I definitely would recommend it to certain conditions, but I have to tell you that, and my this is just me, but the board is not there yet.

The PCIe x16 on the bottom of the MOBO is really hard for me to work with. Any graphics card or sound car or maybe even LAN/Networking Card will not fit because there is no space. It should have been a lot higher as my PSU is right underneath it, since it is a mATX case. If the PCI slots were arranged like this:

PICe x16
PCIe x1
PCIe x16

then a full 5 stars would be present.

This is a mATX and it should be known that there isn't much space in a mATX case (CM N200) and that the most important parts should have space. Sure this might be a bit ridiculous, but I am quite upset as I really was hoping to utilize that slot.

Overall, still solid, easy to install motherboard and I give it my seal of recommendation (if you love ASUS and the Z97 UEFI BIOS) go and buy it.

1 out of 5 eggsDisappointed

Pros: If it did what it said it would it would have been a perfect board...

Cons: I built a computer with the intent on overclocking, however, I didn't try to overclock until everything was up, running, and stable. When I did finally try to overclock it would never save the settings on reboot...thus no overclocking capabilities.

Other Thoughts: I tried and tried and tried. Reread the manual several times, watched manufacturer videos, then tried and tried and tried. Nope. Nothing. So I bought all the parts to build a new PC with the intent on overclocking and now can't. My first ASUS motherboard and my last!

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Really nice looking board with lots of features.

Cons: DOA...

Other Thoughts: Its really hard to find a quality Micro-ATX motherboard with features that you want/like and that has good reviews/ratings. After looking at this motherboard i was sold on everything and being a huge fan of ASUS, what could go wrong? Going through the comments on this motherboard i realized that most if not all 1-2 star ratings were because of DOA. And with 37 reviews and 4 egg rating i thought to myself "What are the odds of me actually getting a DOA" so i went with it. Unfortunately my odds were pretty good because i got a DOA... Now I'm not gonna go on a rant and bash ASUS for a DOA motherboard, I'm a realist and i know stuff like this happens. There are far more positive reviews than negative. Any item you buy from Newegg you are taking a chance on it. You cant expect everything you buy to work perfectly right out of the box (Although it would be nice). I had a DOA but if you are contemplating buying this board. Take a chance, what may happened to some may not happen to you.

3 out of 5 eggsUEFI BIOS Annoying

Pros: Easy install. M.2 slot.

Cons: 1) Boot drive selection is buried in the UEFI settings. Main page selection is ineffective, and thereby misleading.
2) No longer includes Asus' case header connector, that lets the user plug all of the case header stuff into one block and then connect that block to the motherboard. That was one of the nicest features of previous Asus boards, and I miss it, especially as the printing on the board is offset, and the manual has no layout.
3) If you don't already know how to install, the manual is pretty useless. Big stupid pictures that are insufficiently detailed, and provide little information.

Other Thoughts: Asus has slipped some. Hope the corner cutting listed above doesn't reflect on the board quality itself.
