5 out of 5 eggsAmazingly stable @4.9Gghz

Pros: First time buying Asus motherboard, hooked this up to my Devils Canyon 4690k and was amazed at how well this board overclocked and stayed super cool! Got a 4.9ghz oc out of my 4690k@1.400 vcore and stayed very stable through benching. Has extreme over volting settings specifically set up for Ln2 cooling, this board is server grade quality. Thermal radar is SICK! This deck has 9 thermal sensors as well has 100% control over fan settings, memory overclocking etc. 6x 6gb Sata 3, Intel Lan controller, tons of ideal connections for cooling fans, even has a built in 40mm fan on board. Tuf components means this board will last a decade! Super satisfied with this deck so far, way better than some of the other Z97 decks I've recently put together for clients. 5 yr warranty on top if it.

Cons: none so far

3 out of 5 eggsASUS SABERTOOTH Z97 MARK2—UPDATE sort of

Pros: Nothing yes nothing well a better SATA controller and more USB 3.0

Cons: This board and the new i7-4790 Haswell Quad-Core 3.6GHz LGA 1150 W/8GiG of ram has been a bust for me very lacking in guts/power. I own an older ASUS P7P55D-E LGA1156 board that has an i7 680 2.80GHz and 12 GiG of ram that as far as I see still kicks my newer SABERTOOTH Z97 MARK2 and CPU’s behind. My older board even has the older SATA controller so it can’t take full advantage of my SSD’s max speed.

Other Thoughts: NOT an UPGRADE at all from my old computer very sad 5 years and this is the best they offer

4 out of 5 eggsRating: 2/5 Only reads 1 stick of ram??

Pros: The TUF fan controller and Thermal Radar work great. 7 fan headers,
Solid board; nice BIOS.Great warranty. Had the quality I wanted and parts I did not care for, ie.: no M.2 or SATA express.
Was installed in a a Corsair 540 Air. Great match.

Cons: Agree with PRICE. I can confirm.
This board hates ASUS WLAN card:
ASUS PCE-N15 Wireless Adapter IEEE 802.11b/g/n PCI Express 300/300Mbps

Now running external USB WLAN stick.

5 out of 5 eggsNice board

Pros: Good, stable, well priced board. I haven't overclocked yet but will be easy with this bios. love the UFI bios. lots of control available. there are a couple YouTube videos showing it. no problems yet and if you use high end components you won't be disappointed. I've been building systems with Asus boards for over 15 years. while this board may not have everything it also doesn't have a $300+ price tag

Cons: none so far

5 out of 5 eggsCan't Mess with the Best

Pros: Love the 5 year warranty. When you take it out of the box, you know you got a serious motherboard that will last you years if not decades.

I used this as part of my very first build, and I have to day, I'm glad I didn't cheap out on the mobo. This board has all the right parts for future upgradability.

I had no problem with my first time I turned it on. It recognized all the parts and the BIOS was very user friendly. Really cool to have the thermal info and fan speed easily displayable.

Anyways, you can't go wrong with this board. If you are on the fence between this and another board, good Asus Sabertooth Z97 Mark2. You'll be glad you did if just for the quality of the parts.

Cons: Just be careful installing the heat sinks, board likes to bend. Gave me a scare for a minute but everything was fine.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board!

Pros: As usual, Asus puts out another great product. This board has "TUF" components, dozens of fan connectors, thermal radar sensing, a true 8 phase VRM vs. every other brand board have 6 phase VRM's. I've had several other brand motherboards in the past, this is my first Asus and I doubt I will ever buy anything else but Asus in the future. No gimmicks on this deck just pure power.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Buy it, you won't be let down.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat overclocker

Pros: Great design and layout. I bought this deck with a 4690k Devils Canyon. installation was a breeze. Hyper Evo fit with plenty of room. The cooling design on top of all the thermal sensors(9) make this board stick out among the rest. Running a stable 4.6Ghz@ 1.275 vcore, but it will easily do 4.8Ghz with 1.330 vcore for benchmarking.

Cons: The bios is a little overwhelming with all the detailed settings. (10 pages of settings)

3 out of 5 eggsSABERTOOTH Z97 MARK2

Pros: Just ok nothing special

Cons: I find this board not as refined as previous ASUS boards I’m having a number of small quirks happening with the USB 3.0 the onboard sound and some processing glitches just weird small stuff. I don’t like the Asmedia USB 3.0 I ask why is it in the board? It just feels like this board was a rush job to me not debugged 100% or thought out clearly I think the 2 ASAP BIOS updates show this clearly.

Other Thoughts: Disappointed with this board all around nothing glaring just not up to the SABERTOOTH quality I expected lots of small glitches.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat so far

Pros: I found this board to have all the features I wanted and got it in a great combo deal much cheaper than the current price. Board shipped with a May BIOS, 902. Accepted my i5-4690K CPU right off. I find everything works so far.

Cons: I only had issues with the included driver disk. My DVD drive wouldn't read the disk. I just downloaded the drivers and software off ASUS' website.

Other Thoughts: I am using this board with an i5-4690K, Cooler Master Hyper-212 EVO Cooler, 2x8GB G.Skill Sniper Series DDR3-1866 RAM, EVGA GTX 760 4GB GPU, 250GB Samsung 840 EVO SSD for OS, 2 Samsung F3 500GB HDD's for my windows library files and 2 New/old stock Hitachi Desk Star 500GB HDD's in RAID 0 for my games.
