With great processing power in a mini-ITX form factor, the Asus J1900I-C Intel Celeron J1900 SoC CPU Board is designed for digital signage, kiosks, and everyday computing systems. This board is based on a quad-core Celeron J1900 CPU running at 2.00 GHz with Burst Frequency of 2.41 GHz. This soldered-on SoC also has integrated Intel HD Graphics with support for DirectX 11 and HDMI/VGA dual display outputs. The large gold-colored heatsink passively cools the 10W max TDP CPU for fanless, peaceful computing.

Despite its ultra-compact size, this motherboard also incorporates two SO-DIMM slots, one mini PCIe slot, one PCIe 2.0 x1 slot, and dual SATA 3.0Gb/s connectors. The latest USB 3.0 connectivity, and a legacy COM port, are included at the rear panel. This motherboard is also built with an array of Asus exclusive features, like Network iControl, USB 3.0 Boost, and AI Suite 3, assuring you great experience whether in a system build or in everyday operation.

  • newegg CPU and Chipset This motherboard features an integrated Intel Celeron Quad-Core Processor J1900 and Intel HD Graphics. Despite its minimal power requirements, it still has the processing power to display the latest DirectX 11 HD graphics. It features support for dual independent displays with resolutions up to 2500x1600.
  • newegg High-Quality 5K-Hour Solid State Capacitors Asus high-quality solid state capacitors assure a 5,000-hour lifespan, equivalent to 2.5 times longer than traditional capacitors. • newegg USB 3.0 Boost (UASP Support) Asus USB 3.0 Boost technology supports UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol) in Windows 8. With USB 3.0 Boost technology, a USB device's transmission speed is significantly increased up to 170%, adding to the already fast USB 3.0 performance. Asus software automatically accelerates the data rates for compatible USB 3.0 peripherals without any user interaction.

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Made a great little server
low power draw
quiet
quad core
compiled Linux kernel with full options in 24 minutes not bad for low power build

Cons: wish it had true pcie x16 and sata iii but I knew this going in from another build I did. This I believe is a limitation of the chipset itself and not the manufacturer.

Other Thoughts: I added an old socket am2 fan to the heat sink as I am not sold on fanless designs. under prime 95 with fan 27.8C tops without fan 41.3C not bad asus im impressed. for windows 7 users be sure to select windows 7 option in bios compatibilitty module or you will blue screen during install. For Linux users please use the latest kernel for proper graphics support (I used 4.0.1 as of writing)

4 out of 5 eggsvery nice super cheap option

Pros: using this to run 3 monarch miners, but I ran it through its paces to see how it held up. this system won't win any speed records, but it's not bad for a basic pc. this would work great for a simple office/home pc, surfing the web, email, basic office programs, playing some videos. Power usage is darn good, that's the main reason I bought it. If you dedicate 1GB of your RAM to the onboard video, it handles videos and simple games well.

Cons: took off 1 egg because it's only SATA 3Gbs, it could be faster with 6Gbs to take full advantage of an SSD.

Other Thoughts: YOU MUST USE 1.35V RAM!!!! I bought N82E16820191523 and it's a good match. it runs pretty cool, I have it in tiny little ITX case with a pair of 20mm fans to push the air around. even though it's only SATA 3gbs, a cheap SSD makes it move pretty well. I've had very good luck with Asus motherboards, knock on wood, and so far I haven't been disappointed. Now we'll see how long it lives powered on 24/7 with a continuous light processing load.

4 out of 5 eggsAwesome HTPC

Pros: I purchased this MB after researching out a low wattage HTPC, to replace my recently deceased old HTPC. I am VERY glad I found this MB!

I have 2 HDHomeRun's, for a total of 4 recordings at one time. Doing so, works perfect with this machine! I have no complaints.

I ended up putting this MB along with 8GB of memory "G.SKILL 8GB (2 x 4GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Laptop Memory Model F3-1600C11D-8GSL" and a HDD into an Antec "Three Hundred" Case. I didn't need USB3 in the front of the case, and I've used these cases for lots of builds. The "Three Hundred Two" adds USB3 in the front, more filters, and better layout. If I was building anything else that a HTPC... I'd probably buy that instead. Just saying. :)

Cons: It is a little slower than a Core i3-7, etc., but not by much. The energy savings, and MUCH less heat in my room, makes up for that! After all, it's only for recording TV!

Other Thoughts: Don't forget to set the graphics shared memory to the largest amount in the Bios! After this, you will be able to record 4 streams from your HDHomeRun... AND watch a previously recorded show... at the same time! LOVE IT!
