Pros: Beautiful looking motherboard, very unique black and white scheme. With a nice case and wires tucked, it is a very high end visually pleasing system. When I first got it, I was really excited to overclock it. It took some time and tweaking to get DDR4-3000 stable. But then I found out there was a newer EFI, and that improved things quite a bit and it was definitely much easier and more stable for DDR4-3000+. Apparently got a really good 5960X CPU because I read some people have more issues than I did, or they just don't know how to use this new tech.
Cons: None, for new technology I expected having to wait for a better EFI or for some things to be resolved, but ASUS did a really great job. The "Deluxe" line is always top notch maybe only second to the ROG Extreme boards they have. Really high quality parts used.
Other Thoughts: I thoroughly read ASUS and Intel's guide for X99 overclocking. For enthusiasts, it is worth taking a look at, I learned a lot and it definitely helped make things easier and more familiar to work with.

Pros: 5 way optimized does what it says it will do. This board comes with more bells and whistles then I could ever need. Out of the box plugged in a i7-5820k, 16gigs ddr4 2666 memory everything worked. Overclocking wasn't easy but also wasn't pain. *** All overclockers should start with XMP enable **** I was able to over clock my system with easy 4.5ghz @ 1.274volts w/ XMP enable DDR4 memory @ 2800
Cons: The USB 3.0 header is at the base of the board, If you are running dual graphic cards that take up 3 slots each it block usb 3.0 header for you case usb 3.0.
Other Thoughts: All around amazing board, There have been some horrible reviews about this board. I would think they just have no idea what they are doing. This board is a dream to use,

Pros: 1 click over clocking
Cons: very basic fan control, does not let you enable XMP & does not see all memory sticks. impossibly complicate to update the bios ( that you really need to do )
so my 16gigs of ddr4 2800, it sees 8gigs of 2133. 400 bucks worth of ram for less then half of that. this is the 5th motherboard i have gotten from newegg this year. i will NEVER EVER AGAIN buy another mobo from newegg.
asus wont replace the board and its past the 30 days for newegg. ive had this problem since day 1, both companies have ran me around hoping a update would fix the problem for so long, that its out of the return policy.
Manufacturer Response:
Hello Kyle,
I am sorry that you are having issues with the motherboard sir. From the UEFI, under the Ai tweaker tab is Ai Overclock Tuner. From there it is either "Manual" or "XMP". Did you try either? to update the bios it is as simple as following the guide from the link below. As for replacing the board, had you inquired about cross shipping when contacting customer service for an RMA? It is indeed offered on this motherboard and we encourage customers to take advantage of it to minimize downtime. If you would like to discuss this case further, please contact me through email and include your reference number within the subject line. In addition, please provide me with what troubleshooting steps you had tried, as well as the rest of the systems hardware configuration. Thank you. Cs#N141061372
This review is from: ASUS X99-DELUXE LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Man, this board has it all. Even stuff i didn't think i'd use (wireless) has been really useful. I don't think the specs call it out, but the board comes with plenty of extra goodies like a fan controller card and thermistor probe ports, all of which feed back into the motherboard. It'll run quadfire 295x2's in 16x/16x (with plenty of spacing) without issues. Overclocking is a breeze between the "easy button" software and the crazy amount of BIOS features. Running 3 SSD's in RAID 0 and pushing 1.5GBps read/write. Really, the best motherboard i've ever owned.
Cons: I think there's a t_sensor port on the motherboard itself (in addition to the 3 on the fan expansion card) but i can't find it. This board has literally so many things on it that you almost need a map to find some stuff. Oh, and price isn't a con, people. This is an x99 board, it's not going to be cheap. That's like complaining that a Tesla is pricey.
Other Thoughts: I don't think there is any good reason to go beyond this in the price points on the x99 boards. Oh, and the white looks great if your case matches it.

Pros: I could not be more pleased with this motherboard. I'm running a 5820k overclocked to 4.6 ghz with absolutely zero issues. I have waited for a month to write this review. I wanted to make sure I had a chance to run it through it's paces. The white color scheme looks amazing in my rig. The features on this board are impressive. I would buy this motherboard again, without hesitation.
Cons: None

Rating: 1/5Loaded with features but Beware not reliable
This review is from: ASUS X99-DELUXE LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Very nice design, loaded with options!
Cons: Dead on arrival and I think it killed processor and what ever was plugged in the motherboard
Other Thoughts: I bought Asus x99 delux, Intel i7 5820k, 32gb corsair ddr4 ram, 512gb ssd, 750w power supply, h105 cooler and many more from newegg, took me over 3 hours to build my pc and it didn't boot, giving me 00 Q-code. I did my research on Internet and found out that it is possible that MB also killed my Intel pcu and whatever was plunged into x99 deluxe mother board.
Please note this is not my first time building pc and I did it with great care but it is first time I got defective motherboard that might also destroyed parts that were plugged in to this MB.
I RMAed every single part today in hope to get replacment.
Manufacturer Response:
Greetings Avidil,
I am sorry that you had issues with the motherboard. Q code 00 simply means that the CPU is not initializing or not detected. It can also happen if the EATX 12V cable is not plugged in or there is a PSU issue as well. It does not mean that the CPU is damaged necessarily. Are you certain your PSU was sufficient to provide enough power to your system's paricular build? Had you tested the board with basic needed components prior to fully assembling the unit? In addition, had you tested all remaining hardware on another system afterward to determine if they too had issues? At your earliest convenience, please contact me through email, including your reference number within the subject line, and we can discuss this case further. In addition, please provide me with what troubleshooting steps you have tried, as well as the rest of the systems hardware configuration. Thank you. Cs#N141043766

Pros: This is my second Asus Deluxe. First one was RMA'd due to a faulty Bios flash at adoption week (chip died). It happens :( Been waiting for a platform worthy of me retiring my X58-980X and this is it). Previously and EVGA fan but the features of this board are phenomenal. My 5960X is middle of the road hitting 4.3 GHz 1.28V with adaptive set for 1.3. Using a Corsair H110i with 4 Noctua NF-F12's set for 50% at idle (36C) to 90% at full load(69C). Pushing voltage up to 1.325 adaptive will yield 4.4Ghz, but what will 100 MHz give you except 70C+ temps? Set it to run at the 4.3 and with 8 cores firing my photo renders are around 40% faster than the old 980X. If I changed to a thicker rad or a 360 I could probably push it a tad higher. Maybe 4.5 or so? I'm not so sure 1-200 MHz is going to yield and visual change in performance. I did purchase this board while waiting on the RMA so I now own two due to my impatience but oh well. Rest of the system is two EVGA 780's in SLI, 16 gigs of GSkill 2666 (running without issue), a Samsung 840 EVO (750gig),a secondary Sammy 840 (500 gig and waiting on a second to RAID0), a WD 2TB SATA3 Black for backup and wrapped in a Corsair 750D with Noctua replacement fans. Quietist rig I've ever built and love the Fan Expert feature that lets the fans ramp up as heat increases. SWEET!! System games very well with everything optimized thru NVidia GeForce Experience. Most settings achieved are ultra. If you are strictly a gamer you can save some $$ by going X79 and 4970K but I'm in this for other uses and the long haul. Started with a 920 and when 980X came out upgraded. That chip is still cooking after 3 years but I waited for Intel to finally provide PCIe 3 @16 per card as well as native USB3 and some substantial SATA3 ports. I am not disappointed at all in any of the parts and all run very well including the EVGA 1000W gold powering everything. Did hear of some people having issues running 780's and 780i's in SLI with under 1000w P/S. Single card users should be fine with a quality 850w P/S. This platform will probably last me 5 years like the last with certain upgrades (M.2, etc) Probably invested a bit over 3K in this system, sans second M/B.
Cons: New tech does not come cheap but you get what you pay for. Newegg, their packaging and customer support have really dwindled in the last few years.
Other Thoughts: As said before, gamers can go cheaper going X79 and 4970K but I anticipate games will be going multi core in the next year or so as gaming consoles are already setup for that and even if it's 2-3 years down the road with GPU upgrades and 8 cores w/16 threads I don't think I will be in to bad of shape.

Rating: 1/5loaded with options, but not reliability
This review is from: ASUS X99-DELUXE LGA 2011-v3 Intel X99 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: many OC options, looks cool, fast sata and usb,
Cons: reliability, quality control, cost, videocard clearance around the cooler by sata ports,
Other Thoughts: This is my second x99D, the first one was randomly restarting with default bios settings. Props to newegg for getting a replacement out to me quickly.
My second one just died, i fear it has taken my 5960x with it as well. there seems to be some signs of heat just below the cpu power phase area. This is EXTREMELY frustrating, the system is only a month or so old and 2 dead motherboards. If it destroyed my 5960x with it im not sure what ill do.
Great care was taken during this build, it was built with a corsair ax1200i, corsair 780t case, 32 gigs gskill ripjaw ram and 2 gtx980. I cant really trust this motherboard with a $1000 cpu.
Manufacturer Response:
Greetings Niner,
I am sorry that you experienced issues with your replacement board. I would be happy to set up another RMA for you. We can set up a cross ship if you would like as well. Would it be possible to provide me with some pictures of your current motherboard that indicate what you are referencing? At your earliest convenience, please contact me through email, including your reference number within the subject line, and we can discuss this case further. Cs# N141032216
