Pros: Works like it should with no issues.. So far anyway.. Ive not owned it long..

Cons: Nothing has come up yet that i can list as a con in my eyes..

Other Thoughts: Having some weird overclocking issues as in voltages wont stay where I put them.. This could be the CPU though.. Ive read in an online review that even at stock settings CPU i7 6700k, will hit 1.4volts.. Is this because what we are using to read the volts is wrong? IDK its all so new at this point.. I really dont think this has anything to do with the board.. Wonky CPU from Vietnam I suspect..

Pros: This board may lack some of the features of the doubled price boards currently on the market, but this one is really all one needs. Its great style it matched by the features it has. It's great to know I'll be able to run a second GPU down the road. It also comes with a lot of useful software that you can pick and choose to install, though some of the software you have the ability to choose are only trails.

Cons: A slightly wider motherboard might help with RAM clearance issues I am going to have with using an large 212 Evo air cooler. Running in Dual channel, the next set of ram I am going to buy will have to be heatsinkless.

Pros: Fairly standard specs at this level, nothing outstanding

Cons: awful to setup. Would have spent 15 hours getting the BIOS to see my Windows 7 SSD and booting on it. Also had a hard time setting up dual monitors. Updated the firmware to many versions - also a pretty painful process. Not the update itself, but getting drives to work, etc.

Other Thoughts: Wouild not recommend this board to anyone. I have installed dozens (hundreds?) over the years. This is the only one to give me this much trouble,
I finally got it to work, but since it is not a stable system, will swap for a better motherboard as soon as I can afford it.

If you haven't already, please make sure to try UEFI build (1206) located on our Online ASUS Help Desk: http://www.asus.com/us/supportonly/Z170%20PRO%20GAMING/HelpDesk_Download/. Extract the file to a fat formatted usb stick. Then navigate in bios to the tools menu and use the EZflash utility to do the flash. Let your system update the firmware as needed. Do not power down even if your system sits with a blank screen for 10 minutes or so. When updating your UEFI please make sure to wait for the firmware to update after the board restarts following the flash. This can take a couple of minutes after the board restarts. The board should be left alone during this process. If there is no POST following this process, then it would be best for you to provide us with your full list of parts for further analysis on QVL parts. Pros: -Booting up my PC for the first time was painless. No errors, no freezes, nothing.
-I first installed Windows 7 and it was easy. No hiccups whatsoever which I was worried about from some reviews about this board not working perfectly with 7. But again, there were no problems.
-I upgraded to Windows 10 from the free upgrade and its been working fine so far (only had it a week)\
-BIOS UI is actually pretty to look at and easy to use

Cons: -Nothing so far

Other Thoughts: I highly recommend this board. This was the easiest install of Windows I ever had. I will update this review as time goes on.

Pros: Same thing as a new one for a few dollars less

Cons: May already be registered to someone else

Pros: Easy to install
Came with everything I needed to install(even the backplate lol)
Color design fits well with my other components

Cons: Backplate was a bit challenging to get to seat right, although that could have just been my case.

Other Thoughts: 10/10, This is my first ever ASUS board and I am very pleased overall with it.
If you're looking for a new MOBO to accommodate the new CPUs out, this is the one!

Pros: Went to the ASUS site to pull the manual before my purchase. The showed me what was compatible.
Running in overclock mode for 3 months with no problems.

Pros: -Started up first try, no issues whatsoever.
-Download BIOS update, directly from the BIOS screen.

Other Thoughts: Got as part of a 2 piece combo bundle with a I-5 6600k 6M. No complaints, as other state, everything you want and nothing you don't. HDMI and Display port on the board. This was a nice feature after the fresh install in order to use windows to update graphic card drivers.

Pros: Overclocked a i5-6600k to 4.5GHz as soon as I got the computer built, very stable with a regular cooler master evo. Manually input my RAM specs, looks like some people are having issues with XMP. I used XMP initially and had no issues with that either. I only have 2400MHz RAM, that may be why I am not having too many issues. Lots of features and cool UEFI GUI. Everything has worked great and haven't had performance issues.

Cons: I wish the SATA 1 port would stay enabled if I have a drive installed on the M.2 slot.

Had to RMA 6 months after purchase due to motherboard not able to use the power from my PSU. Motherboard was at fault. ASUS RMA'd in a very timely manner. Knocked a 5 egg rating down to 3 egg for reliability

Other Thoughts: I would recommend it based on my personal experiences with the board

Pros: I'm a novice computer builder. This build is my 5th or so. I had no issues except loading Windows 7. It IS possible to load Windows 7.....but you'll need to do some work arounds. I had an extra Windows 10 laying around....and that installed with no problems from the USB. Posted right up. No problems as of yet.

Cons: Windows 7 is not a breeze to install. Work arounds are required to do so.

Other Thoughts: Overall I like this so far.
