Nice board for the price.
- Pros: The board is very full featured for its price range. RAID support is very good and the BIOS is quite tweakable.
- Cons: The users manual is absolutely terrible. By far the worst I have ever seen. If you aren't very technically oriented, don't expect this manual to do you any good. I deducted one egg for this.
- Other Thoughts: A floppy disk for the RAID drivers wasn't included in the box, so if you are installing an OS like XP that won't install drivers from a location other than a floppy, you'll have to make your own. And don't forget to copy the RAID drivers over exactly as they are on the CD (directories and all) or the drivers won't install properly.
Best Out There
- Pros: This has got to be one of the greatest motherboards out there. The graphics will play most modern games, but not on the highest setting. However, you CAN buy a high-end graphic card and add to this motherboard if you need the high-end graphics. Also, the hybrid graphics allow for the use of the graphic card AND onboard graphics TOGETHER for combined graphic power. I have had this motherboard for over a year and have NEVER had troubles. You can easily overclock it, but only do this if you know EXACTLY what you are doing.
- Cons: ABSOLUTELY NONE.
- Other Thoughts: There are other higher-priced motherboards that are better than this, but try getting the value for this price. YOU WON'T!! If you are needing a great mother board, but can't dish out alot of dough, this is the motherboard for you.
Cheap cpu bracket
- Pros: Decent amount of bios options, not many options if you are into overclocking. Seemed to be stable.
- Cons: After the system had been setup for about 4 weeks the CPU bracket broke while the system was on and fried the CPU. Newegg would not do anything about the broken cpu bracket.
