3 out of 5 eggsLoved this board until....

Pros: I have had 2 of these boards for about a year now. I loved them until now. One of the boards all the sudden won't post.

Cons: ESC has to have, hands down, the worst Customer Service I've ever seen. I have been trying for a WEEK now to get an RMA on this board, and all you can do is use their stupid ticketing system on their website. I've gotten 1 response in a week! This board is supposed to have a 3 yr warranty, but looks like I'll have to go get one from ANOTHER manufacturer that can service their customers, or I'll be waiting around with no PC for another MONTH waiting for ESC to live up to it's warranty claims.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good price for a solid board otherwise. This board is not for overclocker as they say. Avoid at all cost if you want to OC.

Cons: Couldn't overclock my Q6600 over 3.0Ghz due to the limited settings in the bios.

Had trouble putting in the GPU since the manual didn't speak of any switches. I had to go through reviews in order to find out about it.

Manufacturer Response:

Please contact us, we would like to look into your system components being used and what settings were used for your over clocking attempts.

We would also like to find out what issues you had trying to install your GPU. You should not have to do anything but install it; no other changes need to be made.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat mother board

Pros: i was going to replace my dell (junk) mother board to take a quad cpu i had laying around turns out the motherboard was mirrored version of everthing else on the market so i also had a extra case laying around put it in this case attached the cpu and heatsink added a couple sticks of ddr2 ram new 1 gig VC and 600 W PS and dual 800 GB HD installed windows 7 ultimate and it is rocking and rolling this is my new media machine have not had any major problems at all

Cons: the only thing i had to do to get the motherboard to recognise all my hardware was making some changes to the bios to tell you the truth don't even remember what it was pretty minor

Other Thoughts: great product for the price would get another one!!

2 out of 5 eggsBack to the past

Pros: Lots of connections

Cons: Jumpers? Too many to list.

Other Thoughts: Life's to short for this board - in 1990 maybe.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Customer,

I am sorry you seem very unhappy with the product, I am a service rep from ECS and would like to know more about the problems you are experiencing, Please contact me at my contact information below when you can, so I may provide you service and support you might need.

I am not aware of what kind of jumper adjustment might be needed for setting up the motherboard to function correctly, If you are speaking of Jumper to enable crossfire, this board is does not need to use jumper to enable CFX, the ECS P45T-A does this by electronic switch instead of jumpers, Please help me to understand the issue you are experiencing further!

If you can so kindly contact me with your system spec and also more details of the problems you might be experiencing it would be greatly appreciated.

4 out of 5 eggsECS P45T-A Motherboard

Pros: Built in RAID 0, 1, 5, 10. 6 SATA sockets. 6 Rear USB and 3 other unused USB connectors on MB. Built in PATA IDE socket. The board functions as it's supposed to. Cam with 4 right-angle at one end SATA connectors and a PATA cable. Has an on board floppy drive cable socket for those who still use one. The latching system for PCIE16X slots is better than many. Will take two crossfire ATI video boards.

Cons: The manual is stone lousy. E.g., when choosing between USB port settings "VCC5" and "5VSB" you get this help. "Make sure power supply provides enough 5VSB voltage before selecting the 5VSB function. No hint of what the differences between the two choices are. This is typical of of the BIOS settings section. E.g., in explaining Intel XD Bit the explanation is, "This ite enables or disables Intel XD Bit technology." That's it, folks. The onboard front audio out socket is at the rear of the board. Go figure. The installation CD is absolutely incapable of dealing with Windows 7 other than to say, "Never heard of it."

Other Thoughts: I bought this because I need a cheap, capable board. That's what I got. Its a lot of board for the money but you're hurtin' for certain if you need detailed instructions.

Manufacturer Response:

We do thank you and appreciate your feedback. If you can please contact us and we will ensure your concerns and feedback are forward to proper channel as we are continuously striving to improve current and future products.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy Peasy

Pros: Bought this board for my first ever build. Installed with no problems. Processor fan was quite frustrating, but that's on Intel, not ECS. Installed Win7 x64 easy, recognized all components right out of the box. Just really easy and trouble free.

Cons: They need to rewrite the instruction manual. If I would have encountered any problems, the instructions would have been no help at all.

Other Thoughts: Looks great in a windowed case!

2 out of 5 eggsTwo Generous Eggs

Pros: Works for a few days...

Cons: After having it running running about a week, windows refuses to load, switched out the mobo to an older intel one i had and everything worked for a month, decided to give it a second chance so I popped the ECS back in, reinstalled windows and again, everything worked great for about a week and out of the blue windows would boot to a black screen after hours of hangups and freezups. Im glad it was only me with the board and none of my customers as I make sure to use Intel's name brand motherboards

Manufacturer Response:

Hi Clint,

I am very sorry to see that you have experiencing the same problem twice, we don't have a example or report of this problem happening with any of our P45T-A and would be appreciated if you can give me a us a chance to work with you on the issue you are experiencing.

Please contact me below at your earliest convenience; I can also service the board for you at no cost at all. If I can verify this problem is due to a defective motherboard.

The product was Microsoft Windows Vista certified and shouldn’t have any issues with any other version of windows, this would be the first time we know of thi issue on the motherboard, so your feed back is greatly appreciated and we will make sure you are being take care of as Customer of ECS

Thanks you

4 out of 5 eggsGood price & overclocking works.

Pros: Has 4 memory sockets and has liked all the memory I have used. It is reasonably priced and looks well build. No problems upgrading to Windows-7 or installing OEM, both 32bit & 64 bit.

Cons: Back right mounting hole does not match any box/case I have used. Manual is somewhat hard to read. ECS's rebate policy is a short 18 days counting the purchase date.

Other Thoughts: Purchased 5, one spare and four in service with no problems.
Have an old E6420, overclocking it by 25% just for the fun but limited memory to 400MHz. WEI went from 5.4 to 6.1 for CPU and for some reason the memory rating increased the same also.
