5 out of 5 eggsto good to be true

Pros: i replaced an aging Intel Board the had a 2.4A 478. I put in all the same parts, including a SATA hard drive. the only thing i changed was the MOBO and used a 3.2 Pentium D and the sucker fired right up on the first boot...I thought that I would heva to reload windows but am happily suprised. this little budget board is stable and fast!!!

Cons: NONE

Other Thoughts: buy it if you are just looking to replace a MOBO with a little older technology, works great!!

5 out of 5 eggsGood Performer

Pros: I've used this board twice now to build a budget system with no problems or issues. Stock board drivers work fine with windows XP but if your going to run Vista I would visit the ECS website for compatible drivers for sound, video, etc. I would use this board again because its cheap and it works so if your on a budget like most of us are then this board's for you.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsvery good

Pros: it was realy easy to setup wile building a computer, it came with all the connectors i needed, well all but one extra IDE cable but thats easy to get. it fits perfectly with most atx cases unless the case is somehow incorrect.

Cons: alot of atx cases have a 3 pin power led connection, wile this motherboard only has a 2pin conenction with no space for modification. this is easy fixed by changing the header for the connection thought many would find this as toomuch work just for a green light. other then that its a very good mother board.

Other Thoughts: it seems that eather the case that i had or the motherboard have the power switch connector and the reset switch mixed up, thought i think it is the case, alot of the features were tampered with before by someone else (the case that is).

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap, easy to install, and worked right off the bat.

Cons: The IDE hard drive cable slot casing broke when I went to plug the cable in. Not a major deal, but I wasn't expecting such flimsy plastic.

Also, it does not come with mounting screws, so you'll have to purchase some if you don't have any.

4 out of 5 eggsAffordable and reliable

Pros: Affordable, simple, easy to set up, and great support

Cons: Don't buy if you plan on doing some major upgrades in the future

Other Thoughts: I was impressed when I set up this motherboard. No problems from the time I took it out of the box to running windows. Seems to be a pretty affordable and reliable motherboard!

1 out of 5 eggsBe Careful!

Pros: Very affordable.

Cons: I bought this as an inexpensive replacement. However the specs listed online are incorrect. Do not buy this if you have a Celeron D processor, it is incompatable. I did not know this until I tried installing it. According to the package it is only compatable with Pentium 4 or Intel Celeron, NOT Celeron D. I had to do an RMA for a refund.

Other Thoughts: I love newegg and have never had any problems until now. So just be careful.

1 out of 5 eggsAvoid

Pros: Price

Cons: Two consecutive boards were DOA. While NewEgg was good to me and ultimately refunded my money, it doesn't make up for the time and extra money I had to pay to have a computer repair shop diagnose the problems.

Other Thoughts: ECS should not sell boards they haven't tested.

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: I bought this board temporarily for a quick upgrade and so far it seems to be just fine. No problems with install and paired it with a 3.2 GHz Presscott. I will give this computer to my son when I am ready to build a new one.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Great for the price - slightly older technology since the new thing is duo core and PCI express. Good for a small budget.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: For the price of $xx after the MIR you cant beat it. I was hesitant about the onboard video but had to do it based on the budget I had for building this system. Impressed w/ the video...much better than i thought it would be. Not for gaming but for plain ole pc stuff all you will need. I have it matched w/ the Intel 336 Celeron D 2.8Ghz chip...fantastic. Both are in an Antec SLK1650B case...WARNING!! the power connector does not match up. The mb is 20pin and the case is 24 pin, other than that no problem. Just had to spend $6 on an adapter.

Cons: Power didnt match w/ the case i got w/ it and had to purchase an adapter.

Other Thoughts: for the money you cant beat it.
