ECS G41T-M(2.0) LGA 775 Intel G41 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Not able to list at this time as the board arrived DOA.
No post. CPU fan runs. But no video.

Cons: DOA , only 2 mem slots , picky memory compatibility

Other Thoughts: I think it would be in the best interest of everyone...if this board was placed in a combo deal with the REQUIRED memory to get it to POST.

Pros: None

Cons: DOA. DOA. DOA.

Other Thoughts: First one arrived DOA and returned it for an replacement. Now the replacement arrived DOA...ECS if you're really want to stand behind the "quality" on your product, send me a check to cover the shipping cost I had to pay to ship your DOA motherboard back to newegg (twice) and a working mobo!!!

Pros: CHEAP....LGA 775....Can make quite a decent personal computer...or Mid Range Gaming Rig.

Cons: Only 2 DDR2 slots (so you better get 2 x 2gb memory just to be safe..... or 2x 4gb for the boards maximum 8gb

Board Flexes when you put in the CPU FAN

REBATE....Heard nothing yet, does not show up on their website.......so it is yet to be seen....

On board LAN Does not show up on the network switch...or power up until Windows 7/Vista is installed (with Driver)..at first making me think the LAN was bad...

Other Thoughts: All in all if you are in for a budget System this is a good combo to buy when newegg has it...bought with a E5400 CPU.

Could not easily put in the CPU Fan...Either its the Intel stock fan (with plastic clips) sucks? cause it kept slipping back out after I push it in... So I had to remove the board and put the cpu fan in with bare board...(you can see the board flex) then the clips stayed in firmly ...allowing me to put the board back inside the case. (don't overtighten screws since board will flex when cpu fan is firmly seated)....Hand tight + 1/8 turn......Be careful make sure that fan is installed correctly or you'll burn up your cpu and the board with it...

-Low Price

Cons: -Only four USB 2.0 in back
-Just two DDR2 slots
-Only four SATA II slots
-Micro ATX (I had room for more)
-Very, erm, colorful...

Other Thoughts: If you want more drives, or more USB, or more RAM, or more PCI slots, or a color scheme that doesn't clash terribly, buy something else.

However, if you don't need any of those things, then this does a fantastic job! It works great for a simple PC.

Pros: Price (providing the rebate goes through)

Cons: Drivers a little hard to install under XP. To be expected with a nearly obsolete OS.

Other Thoughts: For those of you looking for the S/N so you can get your rebate. It's on the side of the PCI adapter. If you have a decent camera, preferably one with a macro, you can photograph it and not have to remove the MB from the case.

For $30 bucks it's a good way to package up all of your old cpu's ram and drives so you can give it away to somebody who needs a computer

Cons: This is the LAST TIME I will purchase an ECS board. I have worked on Pcs for years and have only had a few boards either arrive DOA, malfunctioning, or die within a year or so, and that brand of board is almost always an ECS board. I have used even "cheaper" boards with less issues than this, even more amusing to me, this board was to replace ANOTHER ECS board that had died. It was less than a year old. NEWEGG really needs to EVALUATE the ECS brand. I would wager that at least HALF of mobo returns are ECS branded boards. Quality control does not exist. The current issue I have with this board , using Windows 7 Home Prem. the back or front USB's will NOT accept any ( i tried about a dozen) USB mouse or keyboards whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: Please consider a different brand of motherboard. This comapany has literally cost me time and money. Never again! Even if you gave me the mobos for free, they wouldnt work anyhow.

Cons: WINDOWS 7- is this board complaint? no. it is not. USB's will not recognize almost any and all USB keyboards or mice. Now have to completely rebuid this system. Thx ECS, this is absolute JUNK. Newegg, pull this board.

Pros: Price (especially with the rebate)
It works...
Integrated VGA (although I think the visuals a tad bit blurry)
4 SATA ports (YAY!!)

Cons: Picky in terms of what parts work with it (it likes the "better", more expensive, RAM brands)
Lackluster overclocking capabilities (No voltage control especially)
Board placement

Other Thoughts: Originally the mobo didn't want to boot, so I was a bit frantic checking all the other components to see if the problem was somewhere else, but I there wasn't any problems there. So I just had the idea to try my main rig's RAM and presto, it booted... So I then bought some more "pricier" RAM.

So if you think it's DOA try to put in higher quality RAM/PSU.

Pros: Everything works well and is well documented

Cons: The northbridge runs a bit hot, but this may be due to the huge BSEL mod I did to the CPU.

Other Thoughts: Good motherboard for the price (under 30).
