4 out of 5 eggsPleasantly happy

Pros: I was very nervous building a budget system with this motherboard with the compatibility reputation and lack of bios features but have been happy for three months of operation. I used a E7400 which was not on the mfg. cpu recommended list along with patriot extreme performance memory which luckily comes with four programmed spd settings that ensures plug and play.

Cons: Bios options are lacking minimum features to adjust for component variations that are needed in this modern day of age. Memory is limited to 1.8 volts but does in fact measure 1.9 volts while running so most memory sticks should be happy with added CAS. Southbridge has no cooling so runs constant forty seven degrees celsius.

5 out of 5 eggsNice no problems+ Got rebate back too!

Pros: 2nd ECS bargain build in the last year. Got both rebates, that makes them dirt cheap. set up easy with xp. run fast for my needs. both put together with bargain stuff from New egg.

Cons: None, works great!

Other Thoughts: For some of the best bargains you have to play the rebate game. I get most back, but not all. So learn which makers honor rebates. Don't buy from the ones that rip us off. Sooner or later they may learn why they are losing your business.

1 out of 5 eggsStill not working.

Pros: None so far.

Cons: I purchased this board for a friend to upgrade his computer. When installed the first one I couldn't get any signal when pressing the power button. No VGA or POST in any form but the fans did come on. Tried different monitors and resetting jumpers but nothing worked so I thought maybe it was defective.

I returned the unit for a replacement. Still same problem. If I was to return it again I would be getting close to paying in shipping cost what I've already paid for the motherboard. So I guess it along with the tower it was going into will just sit in the corner of my friends room till he decided to throw it all away.

2 out of 5 eggs*UPDATE* More problems

Pros: Stable and reasonably fast.

Cons: This is an update to my earlier review. Was having USB problems, only 2 worked. Must not be only a USB problem. Added a USB pci card and that doesn't work either. Think the slot is dead.

5 out of 5 eggsStable and fast

Pros: Price
Recent BIOS update allows memory timings to be set
All drivers came with Windows 7 and didn't require installing

Cons: No voltage or FSB adjustments
Has a parallel port (13x2 pin header at bottom of board) but doesn't come with the riser/bracket so you need to spend a few bucks if you need a parallel port.

Other Thoughts: Before the recent BIOS update, I did have the issue that it addresses where the computer would restart sometimes when plugging in a USB device. Fixed now.

Using 2x2gb Corsair DDR2-800 and Celeron E3200. Very quick machine for the price, with VT!

5 out of 5 eggsAs Expected

Pros: This is actually a Flex form motherboard and can nicely fit in any small cases.

Cons: None for the price.

Other Thoughts: Replaced a broken motherboard of a eMachine. I did not have any difficulties as others had.
Built as a DVR with Celeron 440 single core. This 35W CPU is really cool. No case fan needed.
The onboard video works fine in 1080p mode.

5 out of 5 eggsFine Board

Pros: Great features for the price, couldn't ask for anything more.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: Gigagbit LAN would've been nice, but for $29 after rebate, I can't complain.

2 out of 5 eggsworse than expected

Pros: It works for me after some efforts.

Cons: Awkward board design as other reviews mentioned - tall capacitor that interferes with CPU heatsink; no SYS Fan headers; disabled Frequency/Voltage control in BIOS, which kills overclocking; only two SATA connectors; etc.

Maybe this is a typical ECS product, and it just does not meet my minimum standard for quality.
