1 out of 5 eggsDon't trust ECS rebates at all

Pros: It worked

Cons: When I bought this motherboard it had a $70 rebate with it. I went ahead and filled in all the paperwork and sent off the rebate with no problems at all.
Nearly 4 months later I get a check for $20....
I had no way of tracking my rebate at all, their system said there were no rebates under my email address.

No confirmation of them getting it
No kind of correspondence of any kind
Shorted me $50

I called their rebate center and left several voicemails for them as it was ALWAYS busy

Other Thoughts: Not going to bother with ECS anymore because it seems they don't care about you after you've bought thir products

Cons: Hydra function is buggy, but once turned off board is flawless.

1 out of 5 eggsNot pleased!

Pros: It looks nice? Nothing!

Cons: USB 3.0 not working. Hydra crashes, and often. Not compatible with windows 8 even with bios upgrade. Non working ports from board. Really terrible BIOS, hard to find anything, settings hidden. Support from ECS is awful and I will never buy another product from them again. EXPENSIVE GARBAGE!

Other Thoughts: I wish there was a minus rating cause this product would get it.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fast sata 3, and USB 3.0. Works well with my intel processor. I have 2x4 GB ram 1600mhz, works good.

Cons: Kind of expensive, probably could've got a cheaper one with the same thing. Had a problem with my HDD, fixed after a reboot.

Other Thoughts: If you can't find anything cheaper with the same thing, go with this motherboard.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for your feedback. It is appreciated. We need your feedback in order to improve the quality of our products and service.

1 out of 5 eggsNot what Says

Pros: Nice well built motherboard, works fine, looks awesome.

Cons: I originally bought this motherboard thinking that it was a great deal. I was giddy that I could have 32GB of ram and run multiple powerful virtual boxes with its two WAN ports. Upon opening the box, and reading the Manuel. It clearly states that the max amount of RAM supported is 16GB and that it only can support 4GB sticks per slot. I had dropped $150 on new 8GB sticks so I could have 32GB of RAM.

Other Thoughts: I will no longer buy through Newegg.

Manufacturer Response:

Sorry for any confusion you may have experienced. Memory Controller is found on the CPU itself and maximum memory support will be based on this. Currently 2nd and 3rd generation Intel Core CPUs support a maximum of 32GB.

If you have further questions or concerns, please contact us.

1 out of 5 eggsShould Have Researched Better

Pros: Multi-Featured with next-gen features.

Cons: RMA'ing for refund; not able to enable sli and usb 3.0 ports don't work. Breakout box for extra usb 3.0 ports is useless with sli system (entirely covers the mobo connetion). Only 2 docks for additional fans on mobo. For the premium price I was very disappointed in this product.

Other Thoughts: Sticking with the tried and true vendors (Asus, EVGA, Gigabyte). Granted, one defective mobo should not tarnish a brand.

3 out of 5 eggsI should have read the specs better.

Pros: Excellent quality

Cons: For the price it should have been better. You cannot RAID on the 6GB SATA connectors. Unless there is an update after I write this, this is SLI compatible. It recognizes the 2nd graphics card but there is no option to SLI. Also a second graphics card blocks the port for the front USB 3.0 header.

Other Thoughts: Remember to clear the CMOS after installing. I was going crazy trying to figure out why the system will not start. I'm hoping the SLI issues can be corrected.

4 out of 5 eggsGood but with problems

Pros: Looks really nice, the pictures do not do it justice. The speeds are as advertised. It comes packed with lots of features you will actually use. Red leds make it look mean. Seems to be of good quality, it holds a very large air fan without bending at all and the components are tightly attached.

Cons: Raid is not available on the 6Gb/s sata connectors, only on the 3Gb/s connectors. Don't bother getting fast ssd drives because they will be wasted here in raid.
Does not come with a SLI bridge. Why would a high-end gaming motherboard like this ever not include something like that? Get ready to plop down some more cash if you go sli with this.
If you are going with more than one graphics card then kiss USB3 on your front header goodbye. The second card will cover it by 2-3- inches, the new usb3 plugs are at least an inch high and you can't even bend them down. You'll have to spend more cash on stuff so you can pipe them in from the rear usb3 plugs.

Other Thoughts: The manual could come with post codes, it's pretty complete otherwise. When I first booted it the machine started, stopped, started, stopped, etc. If that happens just hit the Clear CMOS button right above the PS/2 plug on the back of the machine. Started working correctly after that but I wasn't feeling very comfortable while it was happening.
The bios is EFI even though it's still in the old blue and grey theme. It could be a little clearer - took me bit to learn the new layout for overclocking.
Put it together for a friend in a HAF 932 (awesome case btw) with an i7-2600K, 2 - 128 gb ssd's, 2 - 1.5Tb hard drives, Frio cooler, 2x gtx 570's (only one is in while we wait for the #### sli bridge), antec 1000 for power, and some red lights. Plays games and such nicely. Still finding the sweet spot with the oc.

2@ x16,x16
