5 out of 5 eggsEasy

Pros: It was easy to put together. Came with a Manual. Straight forward MB. Good price.

Cons: Only two Ram slots.

Other Thoughts: This is a bigger MB then the last two I used. Which made it easier to plug things in. This is a secondary machine that will not be used much. Hope it stays alive.

2 out of 5 eggssomewhat passable, but limited

Pros: - very inexpensive
- has what you need
- lots of connections

Cons: I used the integrated graphics on my Intel chip for over a year and the system performed well for my purposes. I recently decided to upgrade my graphics and purchased a Sapphire HD7750. I found several builds in my research that successfully installed this level of GPU on this MB. I installed the GPU and the MB will not detect it. I went into BIOS to redirect the graphics source from the integrated graphics to the PCIe slot and got nothing still. The GPU's fan is on, so I know it is connected properly. I can only assume that this MB is incapable of handling this GPU, which is a shame. I may have ended up purchasing this MB as a one-year rental.

Other Thoughts: 2.5 eggs

Manufacturer Response:

We are sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing when attempting to upgrade your video card. In our on testing we do not have issues with AMD Radeon HD 7750. So this model is capable of utilizing the HD 7750. Do you have another system to verify the HD 7750 in? Do you have another PCIe card to test in this motherboard? If you continue to have issues, please feel free to contact us so we can work with you in finding a solution.

I or any of my team members here at technical support will be able to help you.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Low Cost Linux Build

Pros: Build went together quickly. No issues.

For a Celeron processor the system really flies with the Samsung 840 SSD.
Everything is instantaneous. Very pleased. Since I don't game or edit video could not see buying an iX processor.

No conflicts with Linux Mint 15 XFCE.

My favorite build todate.

Cons: None:

Other Thoughts: Motherboard: ECS H77H2-M3(1.0) LGA 1155 Intel H77
Cpu: Intel Celeron G1610 Ivy Bridge 2.6GHz LGA 1155
Hard Drive: SAMSUNG 840 Series MZ-7TD120KW
2 gig Kingston DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600)

Linux Mint 15 XFCE

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board for a basic build

Pros: Great for an H77 board. Plugged everything in and works like a charm. Originally used a 3570K as the 3470 I ordered (from another site) was back ordered for two weeks. UEFI is easy and the eBLU utility download from there site is dummy-proof. Great for a inexpensive first build. Micro ATX is great to re-use in my old Compaq case.

Cons: None so far except maybe no firewire available, but no eggs deducted because I knew that before ordering the board. Bought a PCI add on card and no issues.

Other Thoughts: Using the UEFI bios it had overclocked the 3570k CPU from 3.4 to 3.6GHz in performance mode. The 3470 is up to 3.3GHz doing the same, Pretty cool for a H77 board that isn't suppose to OC the CPU.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for your feedback. It is appreciated. We need your feedback in order to improve the quality of our products and service.

1 out of 5 eggsNot able to add pci-e video card

Pros: Cheap
Integrated video has both VGA and DVI connector.

Cons: I added an Nvidia GT240 card to the motherboard and was unable to get any video. No output from either the IGD ports or the my added card. Tried changing the video initialization in the bios from Auto to PCI-E to no avail.

Other Thoughts: Shame, aside from the video issue board seems pretty good for the price.

Manufacturer Response:

We are sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing with your PCIe slot. The GT240 should not pose any problems with this motherboard. We would suggest installing the PCIe card, clearing the CMOS settings, while the system is off, with the clear CMOS jumper and retest this issue. Ensure that the card is installed all the way and no pins have been bent in the PCIe slot. If this does not resolve your issue, we would recommend that ou test the motherboard outside of the case with only CPU, CPU fan, memory, video card and power supply connected. Place on a flat non static surface. This is to eliminate any type of grounding issues. Connect the power button from the case or short the power pins (6 and 8) to power on the system. If still have any issues or questions, please contact us and we can work with you to find a solution.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat budget board

Pros: Price, H77, looks good, works fine straight out of the box, BIOS is clean.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: I bought this for a budget build because of its price for an H77 chipset. I figured "Whatever, it's some off-brand Chinese (actually Taiwanese) piece of junk, it's a gamble if it even works" but I was pleasantly surprised. For the price it's quite a nice board. It isn't feature-rich like its more expensive counterparts, but for this type of build it's perfect. I'd certainly recommend it as well as ECS.

5 out of 5 eggsGood

Pros: Compatible with Xeon 1230 V2 and HD 7750
I had no problem installing with ECS motherboard, smooth setting, nice GUI for bios set up just like other manufacturers' in the market.

Cons: I built all my previous PCs with MSI,Gigabytes, and Asus motherboards. This was my first time to build a pc with ECS motherboard. The only thing I didn't like in ECS motherboard was installing driver CD's GUI.

Other Thoughts: If you are thinking to build a tight budget system with h77, go for this motherboard. Unless you want to OC, this motherboard will fit perfectly to your system.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: Great price. BIOS has some great depth for a budget board. The USB 3 19pin(20pin) header is a plus for memory card readers etc.

If you dont plan on OC'ing to save money (which is why you buy this H77) this board has everything you need. No need to go for a more expensive if these are your intentions.

Cons: Not really a con - but something to know when buying this board. The CD only has the windows 7 drivers(Thank goodness the network driver still works from this CD so you can update the rest). ECS tuning already has the Windows 8 drivers for chipset/audio etc. for download on their website. You'll need to get these A.S.A.P

Other Thoughts: As a IT person of many years this brands boards have been reliable. One time I did have a DOA board and the rma process had gone smooth as silk. So for budgets boards take ECS over Biostar etc. anyday. I HATE Biostar boards and I've done 100-200 builds in my lifetime atleast. (had to include that last sidenote)
