Pros: none

Cons: bought this board in december and it died. Just shuts down and you have to power down and hope it comes back up. This is my last ecs board. I can't return it so i'm stuck.

Cons: It's a cheap motherboard what do you expect it looks boring and of you want to mount an aftermarket heat sink it is really hard to get the stock mount to come off

Pros: Cheap, hardware works fine

Cons: -have to install device drivers to use on board HDMI
-disc containing all drivers has bloatware embedded
-disc containing all drivers keeps crashing my win7 install

Other Thoughts: I went for this mobo for my budget media server build, I don't regret the hardware selection... I do however have some issues with the driver disc that came with the system... I will NOT be purchasing an ECS product again... the need to download drivers so I don't get slammed with bloatware/spyware is infuriating and I will not tolerate it again.

Pros: works well when it doesn't shut down.

Cons: shuts down so randomly while playing a game, web browsing, or just leaving it on for a little bit.

Other Thoughts: Similar problems as gekaver. Randomly and consistently shuts down, making keyboard, monitor, mouse lose power. The only way to restart is switching off and on the psu switch because restart and power button does not work.

1 out of 5 eggsBad board!!! Stay away!!

Pros: Was fast while it was working

Cons: Would give this no eegs if I could. After installing Windows 7, I started installing windows updates, the system screen goes blank after a while. Ctrl-alt-del - no response, pressed the reset button - no response, held in the power button - no response. Had to shut off the power @ the power supply, restarted the system, windows says not shut down properly (duh) so I tell it to restart normally. Systems is back up, for a while, then black screen again. Repeat, repeat repeat. I started over with windows 7, wiped the machine and re-installed from scratch, same story.

Other Thoughts: Contacted ECS's tech support, they responded that I should flash the BIOS, I checked their site, the only BIOS that would be newer than the existing system BIOS was for windows 8 support. I'm not running windows 8, I told them this. Like their motherboard - no response. I downloaded their "live BIOS update" utility and ran it on the system, it tells me the BIOS are up-to-date, no update required! I contact them again to let them know this - no response!

4 out of 5 eggsSolid, Cheap Board

Pros: This board is perfect for a budget build. Nice, solid board. Not to much much to say worked great out of the box and was cheap. I do like the BIOS, works well for me.

Cons: Minor flaws in the packaging. There is a misprint (On the top it says fm1 socket, but it is actually an FM2 as stated on other areas) on the box and a few misspellings (pakage contents) in the manual. Would have appreciated mounting hardware as well, as I don't always buy a new case for each build. Has a little more bloatware on install than I like.

Other Thoughts: All in all an absolutely great board for budget build. I hope everything continues to work well. Send in my rebate, we'll see how that goes.

Pros: This is my first ECS product since a bad experience with them way back in the Socket A days. Put it all together, turned it on, and it fired right up. Seems to be stable with my A6-5400K and G.SKILL DDR3 1866. Socket FM2 clips are identical to Socket AM2/3 which is useful for the bad FM2 coolers.

Cons: Didn't detect my RAM speed and timings, but few motherboards do. UEFI BIOS using a mouse is pretty clunky. Configurable options in BIOS are very few.

Other Thoughts: For a small HTPC or office computer which will be used mostly for internet browsing, Youtube, and other tasks like that, it seems to be a good board.

Pros: good idea as long as it doesn't come with bent pins

Cons: I put this in my brother's pc, it overheats ever 2-5 minutes shutting the pc down. It even came with 3 bent pins on the corner which I think may be the problem but until I get the heat-sink that I ordered (which is still in packaging after 4 days) I will not know if it actually is the problem

Other Thoughts: be very careful it should work great but make sure that it is in correct shape before putting it in the motherboard.

We are sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing. Bent pins normally would not cause such an issue but we would like for you to contact us so we can find which pins specifically were bent. System shutdowns can also be related to the CPU itself, memory, power supply or grounding issues. If you can we would recommend that you reseat the CPU, ensure you have adequate cooling compound and possibly try a different cooler. In many cases the power supply is what causes the computer to be unstable. Inadequate power to your components can cause the entire system to lock up at worst, or just cause certain components to malfunction or stop working. A power supply does not have to be dead to be faulty. Try one memory at a time or different memory. Lastly we would suggest testing the motherboard outside of the case on a flat non static surface.
