2 out of 5 eggsNot Impressed

Pros: The replacement unit is still working

Cons: 1st one was DOA which can happen so I'm not too upset about that. It's annoying but it happens. What upset me was having to deal with ECS to get an RMA number. They are very hard to work with. It took 3 months to get a replacement board.

Other Thoughts: I used to be a fan of ECS but not anymore. I would suggest MSI or Gigabyte products both companies are much easier to work with should you have a problem.

3 out of 5 eggsFlawed Bios

Pros: Good feature set and price (after MIR).

Cons: With A10 5800K, if multiplier was left on auto, base clock was set to 90 instead of 100. Would not boot with G.Skill 1600 memory (I set all parameters according to XMP profile).

Other Thoughts: I called tech support and was able to speak with someone right away. He said he would try to duplicate the setup in their lab and let me know. I never received a return call. Newegg customer service was excellent (RMA for refund).

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent For Price

Pros: Lots of features, especially for a economy board. Easy setup. Built for a customer with low budget. I am using this with a dedicated graphics card so can't comment on the graphics.

Cons: None so far. It's very new so if problems come up in future would have to update review.

Other Thoughts: Teamed with an X4 740X AMD cpu, only 4 gig GSkill DDR3-1600 RAM. Even so seems fast and stable. No OC for customer.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works perfectly

Pros: Very well made and it works great. It cost no more than the "55" series Micro-ATX boards that would come without the USB3, the DVI, the two extra PCIE x1 expansion slots, the 8 pin power connector or the heat sinks. And it's a nice clean looking board. I have never had an ECS board fail, and I have used quite a few of them, over a long period of time.

Cons: None, whatsoever.

Other Thoughts: Mated to an A8 5600k Trinity, 8 GB's of Kingston HyperX 1600, and a WD "Blue" 1 TB HD , It quickly loaded and ran Ubuntu 13.10 perfectly.
It runs cool, quiet, quick, and displays flawless 1080p on a VISIO Razor.

5 out of 5 eggsvery good basic noard

Pros: good quality large heatsinks, This board is not as deep as other ATX boards which for me is great as this build will have many hard drives and there is room for them in my smallish case.

i used an older heatsink that was much larger than the stock A6-5400K and there was plenty of room.

The BIOS is well done

HDMI on board

its $50!

Cons: not really a con but the power button pins were near the center-bottom of the board and of course my power button wires didnt reach... thank you cheap case makers.

Other Thoughts: the mouse icons in BIOS have to be double clicked.

Im very happy with this board... hope it lasts for a while.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Motherboard

Pros: The black color was what I wanted b/c it matched the inside of my case. Low profile for the north bridge and south bridge. Had all the slots I needed, which include pci express, one ram slot, fm2 cpu slot, and room for my aftermarket heatsink.

Cons: A couple of minor issues: Only has two ram slots. Only has one pci express slot. No slot for the case speaker (none that I am aware of). I ordered one two weeks ago, and when it came, it was defective. So I got it replaced at no expense, except for time. No way to get into bios via keyboard key.

Other Thoughts: Overall this is a good product. Some limitations are present, but it does everything I need it to do, which is play games.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for your feedback. It is appreciated. We need your feedback in order to improve the quality of our products and service.

The case speaker header can be found along the edge of the motherboard near the PCI slot. It is located between the COM and LPT headers and next to the SPDIF header. It is a 4 pin header, with 1 pin removed.

With ECS motherboards, the key to enter the BIOS is the Delete key.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this or any ECS products, please contact us. We are here to help.

I or any of my team members here at technical support will be able to help you.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Motherboard

Pros: I have always used ECS motherboards for all my builds and have never been disappointed. I recently built a new system using this MB and gave away another system to a friend and that MB was an ECS K7S5A from 2000 and was still working great.

Cons: NONE
