2 out of 5 eggsworked great, for a while

Pros: Awesome price. It's very small. Some people might consider this a con, but I needed to save all the space I could. on-board video. again, some people might consider this a con, but it's hard to beat on-board graphics when troubleshooting.

Cons: Unit died 7 months in. Blue screened and never returned. It won't even post anymore. I guess it's true, you get what you paid for.

Other Thoughts: I bought this from newegg a while ago when it was on sale for $35. I really wish I'd spent a few dollars more on something better.

Manufacturer Response:

We are sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing with your motherboard. A DOA issue can be caused by any of the main components, including CPU, memory, power supply and motherboard. If possible we would recommend testing the motherboard in the following fashion.

Remove the motherboard from the case, with only CPU, CPU fan, memory and power supply connected. Place on a flat non static surface. Reseat the CPU. Test with only one memory at a time and reseat memory. Ensure that both the 24 pin and 4 pin (ATX12V) connections are connected from the power supply. Connect the power button from the case or short the power pins (6 and 8) to power on the system. If still have any issues or questions, please contact us and we can work with you to find a solution.

When contacting us, you can refer to case #15042310005

5 out of 5 eggsWorking as expected

Pros: The board does exactly what I was looking for, assembled the entire unit, up and running in about 60 min.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This motherboard was purchased specifically to serve as a home NAS. Although this may be overkill for the project the price and small size made it perfect, as well as, very up-gradable if I need additional HP in the future.

1 out of 5 eggsperhaps doesnt support IvyB out of box

Pros: Nice specs; price. Form factor/all else was going to be ideal; just lacking Sata3.

Cons: Started up OK one time -- after configuring minimal BIOS settings (date/time) and recognizing 8 GB+CPU, it went into endless reboot cycle (~2 seconds on,CPU fan, restart). Removing memory would give the 3 beep sounds, tried all other options. Left message for ECS, no callback. RMA'd to Newegg.

Other Thoughts: Think possible from reading other issues with other motherboards that perhaps a Bios update might be explanation for supporting Ivy Bridge. Since I couldn't get back into BIOS after the reboot cycling, not possible to see version. Not so likely that lay-people are holding onto a Sandy Bridge processor for these cases to start system, apply patches, and then put in next uP revision.

Am posting this here in case others have same issue.

uP/Memory/etc. was verified working several days later in another configuration after buying a Foxconn budget 1155 motherboard.

3 out of 5 eggsWill make you angry

Pros: Worked. Mini-itx to put in my elite 130 case. Looked cool as hell.

Cons: When I first put the whole thing together and tried to power it on, nothing happened.
Eventually I figured out by reading the entire manual that the manual had incorrect instructions on it. It labeled the COM port and the FPanel port as the same dang thing. I had my power button plugged into the com port. Already put it together then dismantled it by the time I figured this out. If I rated right after setting the PC up I would have gave it two stars for that, but I realize I shouldn't be so short sighted.
Still, what the heck.

4 out of 5 eggsUpdate

Pros: solid cap design. Good customer support

Cons: Be careful with the bios update

Other Thoughts: Update to my previous negative review. Yes, I was a bit upset about a non-working board after a bios update. I sent it back to ECS, and they cleared it and installed the bios. I paid the shipping of 9.00 to them. ITX boards are light and small for shipping.

Turnaround time was fast Their support dept is much better than it used to be. .Now, should they pay all shipping costs for a board under warranty? maybe so. I doubt if any brand of board pays all shipping costs..

Anyway, this board is great, as long as you understand it does not have all the features you might want.

5 out of 5 eggsRuns 24/7

Pros: I never turn this thing off and haven't had a hick up. Currently running Mavericks without issue on a i3 2100.

Cons: None really other than the fact that they used a double usb header and covered it because the chipset can't support that many.

Other Thoughts: How can you beat $35?

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board!

Pros: I have purchased close to 100 of these boards. We use them for all of our builds. They are rock solid.

Cons: No true con. The only con I find is the foul up in the manual regarding hooking up the front panel and USB. I have informed ECS of this and they are aware. Probably just have to get through the initial batch.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little ITX motherboard

Pros: Lots of features for the price, small FF, easy to install and to get running

Cons: None so far

Other Thoughts: Bought three of these motherboards for use in building very small form factor PCs. All have been trouble free to install and configure. Using with lower end CPUs and the performance is more than adequate. Overall, it is hard to find a better deal on an ITX motherboard than this one even with it being an 1155 socket board.

1 out of 5 eggsBricked by the Bios Update

Pros: build quality is pretty decent

Cons: Tried to update the bios within Windows 7. Not my favorite thing to do. Looked like it was going OK, it restarted, then nothing. It went blank on the monitor. I spoke with tech support and tried the boot block recovery method they suggested. Nothing. It's not worth 20.00 for me in shipping cost to send it back to them when I paid 36.00 for it.

Manufacturer Response:

We are sorry to hear about the issue you have had with your BIOS update. If you continue to have issues or still require an RMA please feel to contact us and we will follow up with your previous case and help ensure it is proceeding as it should.

1 out of 5 eggsMotherboard shorted on me

Pros: n/a

Cons: Finally got things together this past week. Right off the bat. I had a red RAM LED that I could not get rid of... tried varies setups when breadboarding. Different PSU and inserting the RAM in different slots, and also insured that the CPU was seated properly multiple times. No beep for POST when booting up. But I did have VIDEO. Was told to try and install windows anyways.

windows installed fine, but the red led on the mobo never went away. now I think my board may have shorted when I tried to plug in an external USB hard drive. As I plugged in my external hard drive, my computer shut down immediately and not won't boot up.
