5 out of 5 eggsSlow boot up.

Pros: It boots up and runs my AMD Phenom II x3 720 BE with Kingston Value 2GB 240-Pin DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500) 7.6 rating from Win7 and 5.5 for the ram.

Cons: This thing has a Slow boot. It will sit on the Bios screen for about 15 second before it will start the windows load screen. I didn't see anything in the BIOS for fast boot. :( BIOS is straight forward easy to understand for the new learners of Mother Boards.

3 out of 5 eggsclaims of core unlocking misleading

Pros: No driver issues in any Debian based flavor of Linux tried.

Cons: Not all of these boards support core unlocking.

Other Thoughts: "ECS "Unlock ” technology provides stable unlocking of hidden cores" - Not on my board. The option does not exist. It's stated on the website and in the documentation of the MB, but it's simply not there.

I never bought an AMD thinking I was getting something for nothing with the possibility of unlocking cores. For me it's more of science experiment, does it unlock? is it stable? if so cool, if not, nothing lost.

The fact that the manufacturer states "ECS "Unlock ” technology provides stable unlocking of hidden cores" is blatantly false. It's not always a sure thing with this board. After I update the BIOS, maybe the option will be there, maybe not; either way, it's false advertising.

Tried unlocking the CPU I was using with this board, on my OLD Gigabyte, and it did.

ECS: don't make blanket statements about a product when in some cases it a flat out falsehood.

2 out of 5 eggsEh.

Pros: Cheap.

Cons: FX8320 8 core with aftermarket cooler, Prime95'd for about 20 minutes and blew the 12V rail on the motherboard. Won't power on unless the 4pin 12V is unplugged, whenever I plug that in (while the motherboard is powered) it sparks and the power supply cuts off (overcurrent protection).

Had this happen across many 760G motherboards. Two MSI's and now an ECS. They tend to fry the CPU with it (it did on the two MSI's), don't have a spare AM3+ motherboard to test the CPU so I can't say for sure. Wouldn't be surprised though, same symptoms as the MSI's when they fried (FX8320 and FX8120 with aftermarket coolers, popped a few minutes with Prime95 and won't boot unless 12V is unplugged)

5 out of 5 eggsA960M-MV(1.0A)

Pros: Had a bunch of parts lying around just needed a motherboard that would accommodate a Regor 250, DDR 3 1866 RAM and an old 6670 this works very well plays Diablo III and Windows Media Center/HD Homerun TV with no problems....

Cons: could use just one more fan header but I'm running the fans directly off the free power supply I got form Newegg a couple years ago....

Other Thoughts: this is a straight forward no frills MOBO works great for what I needed....

3 out of 5 eggsECS

Pros: -Cheap
-Small
-Supports FX CPU's (wouldn't recommend it tho)

Cons: -Not all the caps are solid caps
-Driver support is trash
-Back IO plate was bent and did not fit the case

Other Thoughts: It is okay for the price ($34) but lacks some things. It feels cheap and the driver support is terrible. I did get it working just fine but the integrated chipset does not detect my native display resolution even when the driver is installed. Its good for the price.

1 out of 5 eggsSetted it up, no display...

Pros: Would be a great mobo.. IF I CAN GET IT TO BOOT!

Cons: Hooked it up with an AMD FX 8320 while using in board and 4gb ram. Plugged in EVERYTHING and it did not display anything on the screen. No beeps, no NOTHING! I don't no what to do. Probably gonna RMA it and contact ecs

Other Thoughts: This motherboard would be good... But it just wont turn on. Tried everything.

Manufacturer Response:

We are sorry to hear about the issues you are experiencing with your motherboard. Prior to shipping from our factory, all motherboards are tested to ensure that they are working properly. A DOA issue can be caused by any of the main components, including CPU, memory, power supply and motherboard. If possible we would recommend testing the motherboard in the following fashion.

Remove the motherboard from the case, with only CPU, CPU fan, memory and power supply connected. Place on a flat non static surface. Reseat the CPU. Test with only one memory at a time and reseat memory. Ensure that both the 24 pin and 4 pin (ATX12V) connections are connected from the power supply. Connect the power button from the case or short the power pins (6 and 8) to power on the system. If still have any issues or questions, please contact us and we can work with you to find a solution.

I or any of my team members here at technical support will be able to help you.

5 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Tiny little thing, great for home theater, hdmi, booted right up np.
Stayed away from Ecs for years (Pc-chips ***shutter***) But, this little board is making me rethink that.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Wish it had a Mini pcie for laptop based wifi card. If your on a budget or want an office pc that will tackle Am3 / + line this is the one, very happy with it .
