1 out of 5 eggsHorrible!! Stay away

Pros: I bought this mobo because of the price and the RAM ports that it offers, and for the small size that it is. It is really rare to see a micro atx with 4 ram slots.

*Price
* Number of ports
* RAM slots

Cons: I bought this mobo as an upgrade to my current rig, after switching mobos, I went ahead and turned this jewelry on, to my surprise, no video showed up (i had a dedicated graphics card) so then i thought, okay maybe is the graphics card, i took it out, plug the hdmi directly to the motherboard aaand still there was no video. Them my hopes started tumbling, I read then the manual like any intelligent ape would have done in the first place and then i thought okay maybe is because it needs a vga to start and then i can switch it to hdmi, i went ahead to Wal Mart, bought a vga cable, tried it on annnnd nothing. On my last resort i thought maybe is my cpu (apu), and this is not compatible, so i took the motherboard to Fry electronics, bought another cpu (apu) drove home, tried it on and surprise!!! NO VIDEO. I contacted newegg for a replacement, i shipped the mobo back, after 2 weeks finally the replacement arrived, I tried it on and guess what??? Oh yeah NO VIDEO AGAIN. I noticed that whenever I turned the computer on, there is not hdd activity (because of the hdd led in the front), i took the fan out, and touch the cpu(apu) to see if it will get hot and yeah it was getting hot, i tried mutilple RAM sticks, together and separately. I did some research online and some people complained about the same exact thing. I did check that my apu or apus that i tried were FM2 trinity. Anyways just wanting to share this horrible experience. The price is really good, but the mobo is horrible, i would rather invest a little bit more and invest on something that actually works on the first try

Other Thoughts: I am returning this for a refund, i already spent 15 dollars mailing the first one back, here it goes another 15 dollars to mail the second one back, at the end for the price i have investend on this piece of *!$%# i would have bought something really nice

Manufacturer Response:

We are sorry to hear about the issues you have experienced. The odds of two motherboards in a row with the same issues is high.

Prior to shipping from our factory, all motherboards are tested to ensure that they are working properly. A DOA issue can be caused by any of the main components, including CPU, memory, power supply and motherboard. If possible we would recommend testing the motherboard in the following fashion.

Remove the motherboard from the case, with only CPU, CPU fan, memory and power supply connected. Place on a flat non static surface. Reseat the CPU. Test with only one memory at a time and reseat memory. Ensure that both the 24 pin and 4 pin (ATX12V) connections are connected from the power supply. Connect the power button from the case or short the power pins (6 and 8) to power on the system. If still have any issues or questions, please contact us and we can work with you to find a solution.

I or any of my team members here at technical support will be able to help you.
Our hours are Mon-Fri 9am-6pm PST.

Thank you,
Andy
