Using it with Win8 and Windows Media Center/Plex Home Theater to power my TV. This thing is silent (processor is fanless) and I have no trouble recording HDTV in Media Center or streaming 1080p movies from the network. Also plays BD just fine. MakeMKV works fine too if you want to do encoding on another PC. Cons: I wish it had a few more rear USB ports. You get what you pay for with a Pentium processor, but for single tasks it works great. No word from ECS This review is from: ECS BAT-I(1.2)/J2900 Intel Pentium J2900 2.41 GHz Mini ITX Motherboard/CPU/VGA Combo Pros: Powerful CPU for embedded ITX Cons: This board would hard reset and hang at the BIOS screen. I switched from Windows to Linux, hoping that it would correct the issue. A week later, it continued to reboot randomly. Finally yesterday it shutoff, and I'm unable to get it to power back up. ECS has not returned any of my support requests Other Thoughts: I replaced the power supply and RAM, but neither corrected my reboot problem. Save your money or something better.
