4 out of 5 eggsUnrivalled!!

Pros: Will run ddr2 @ 1066, RAID, Pcie2.0 x2 w crossfire support, optical & digital 8 channel outs for sound and onboard LAN, this board will rival some of the best larger ATX P45 boards on the market today. NO ONBOARD VIDEO, YES, THIS IS A PRO.

Cons: A lot of tweaking required to get this board working to its full potential but once this is done you can get 3.8ghz stable on air with e3110. Also, I had to do a lot of tweaking to get 1066 with the OCZ Reaper8500 2x2g ram while overclocking. This could be do to multiplier ratios but ultimately ended up at 800 for stability reasons (1:1).

THIS IS NOT A PLUG AND PLAY BEGINNER BOARD. 95%OF THE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS BOARD ARE FROM USER ERROR IN SETTING IT UP. YOU MUST SET THIS BOARD UP PROPERLY, AND IN SOME CASES EVEN FLASH THE LATEST BIOS BEFORE BEING ABLE TO RUN IT PROPERLY.

Other Thoughts: This board is unmatched by any other "m"atx ddr2 board on the planet! I think you can now get the ddr3 version but for the $ you will save on the board and the ram, this board is the way to go. You can budget build a system like me and still match or even beat some of the fastest systems today with what I have below:

MB: DFI P45 jr t2rs
CPU: e3100 Xeon Core2Duo @3.6ghz w/Ultra-120
RAM: OCZ Reaper8500 4g (2x2g) ddr2
GFX: Diamond Viper HD3870 GDDR4
LCD1: Hanns-g 28" HH-281HPB
LCD2: Samsung 192n Rotated Vertical
LCD3: Samsung 192n Rotated Vertical

HD1 WD Raptor 150gb (Raid 0)
HD2 WD Raptor 150gb (Raid 0)
HD3 Seagate Barracuda 1tb storage
HD4 Seagate Barracuda 500gb os/raid backup
OPT1: Pioneer 111d (xbox360 burner)
OPT2: Sony Optiarc AD-7241s (xbox360 burner)

PWR: Thermaltake Toughpower 750w
Case: OEM Mac Pro

OS: Darwin multibootloader - Win7 x64, WinXP x32 Snow Leopard & Ubuntu Linux.

This is my dream system and I couldnt be happier!!

1 out of 5 eggsConsider a Name Brand

Pros: Have not found one

Cons: Very Poor product and Product Support that is even worse.

Other Thoughts: Follow up from my original post in August. Origianally purchased the board in May, here is is the middle of October and I still don't have a board that works. Received a replacement today which turned out to be DOA.

I will never purchase any DFI products again.

3 out of 5 eggsno resume from sleep(rev 01)

Pros: Great overclocking performance for a micro ATX. SATA ports face sideways for better wire managment.( who dissconnects and reconnects these constantly anyway).
BIOS options are better than most people need, but this is a enthusiast board so not for the average user. Very nice color useage in design.

Cons: This board will NOT resume from S3 state in Vista. DFI does not seem to care about this problem as indicated in forums. Other board manufacturers have addressed this problem( common in P45) with a BIOS update. If you do not use sleep state , and want a great micro ATX , this one is a good choice.

Other Thoughts: Just a side note. I see that almost everyone that posts here seems to be a "expert" PC builder, but some can't get a board to POST. well, before you call it DOA, try useing ONE stick of RAM in slot 1 to boot, and then set BIOS memory settings before adding more RAM.

1 out of 5 eggsWon't last long

Pros: Reasonably priced Board @ $119.00

Cons: Utter Garbage - Heat sink won't clear standard Intel CPU Cooler, no IEEE1394 ports. worked for about 35 days, just outside Neweggs return policy (Sucks). RMA'd the board to DFI Tech center in San Jose, CA, board was returned with only a BIOS upgrade

Other Thoughts: RMA'd the board to DFI's Tech center in San Jose, CA, board was returned with only a BIOS upgrade. Board worked about a week and locked up again.

DFI's Customer service sucks.

4 out of 5 eggsLoved it till it broke

Pros: This board has been pretty good for the past two months. Great features and layout/colors scheme.

Cons: Bios is too basic for my tastes. OC features are not fully manual.

Other Thoughts: It stopped working 5 days ago, two months after I bought it on Newegg. Newegg states that I should contact the Manufacturer, and DFI states that I should contact the orginal seller for servicing because I don't live in Europe (I'm not kidding; They only fix parts if you live in the UK, France, Germany, or the Netherlands)

I have tried to get either Newegg or DFI to replace it but neither company has replied to my emails. I actually called Newegg about this catch 22 and they asked me to send in a lengthy email with everything I had just told their representative (who, again, was very nice and knowledgeable, nothing against her). I sent in the email on monday. I was told to wait two days. It's been 5. No response from Newegg or DFI.

Overall, I'm very unhappy with the service I've gotten from both companies.

Finally, I would like to say that in 3 years of buying at least 2 items a month from Newegg, and having RMA'd 4 items, I've never had a problem with them. I hope this isn't

1 out of 5 eggsThere are better products!!!!

Pros: Can't think of any

Cons: Does not work with popular DDR2 modules
Tech support will not answer emails

Other Thoughts: I had heard good stuff about this company. Maybe that was of DFI years ago. With horrible customer support they will not last long in this competitive market. Buyer beware!!!!!

There are much better products and companies out there. Don't buy a paperweight!!!!!

5 out of 5 eggsDFI LP JR P45

Pros: - Great little mobo that could fit in most any case.

- Very high build quality.

- OC'd my E2180 Pentium Dual Core from 2ghz to 2.66ghz

- Support for 16gb of ddr2

- Supports CrossfireX (couldn't find another matx with this)

- Plenty of USB headers

- Very unique and easy way to attach powerled/reset/power headers. (didn't think I would use it but tried it and it made things very easy)

Cons: - 6 SATA Ports can be hard to access

- No Firewire or eSATA (I knew this but now regret it)

- PCIE 16x and 1x ports are a bit tight I have a very low profile GFX card and it still blocks the 1x PCIE port

- Heat pipes on northbridge could get in the way of some heatsinks. DO NOT GET A 120MM FAN!!! I purchases a 92mm sleeve style heatsink but had to break out the dremmel to shave part of its plastic housing away so that it would fit. Though now the MB heatsinks touch the proc heatsink so they are now actively cooled (possible bonus?)

Other Thoughts: Great fully featured board with very easy overclocking for newcomers. Very bright orange and tough/ridged board.

1 out of 5 eggsVery disappointing!

Pros: Looks good;)

Cons: After purchasing it I had been waiting for some other hardware to come to finish off this build. Well it too 34 days to boot up this mobo and NOTHING! How unfortunate! It powers up for 4 seconds then turns off. Took all of my hardware off and placed it into an working Intel board and it was flawless. After reading the reviews it looks like I'm not the only person this has happened to! You lose my purchasing DFI, sorry!
