4 out of 5 eggsNice little board

Pros: Nice MB with lots of overclocking features. Running a Intel Xeon E3110 Wolfdale 3.0GHz at 3.3 with minor voltage dump. Dropped this in a Antec Minuet 300 case and it fits like a glove. Scythe Shuriken Rev. B cleared the MB heatsink easily. This is running on a 22"LG LED ultraslim. Amazing video quality in Win 7.

Cons: Like others have said, won't run memory at 1066. Dropped down to 800 and 4-4-4-12 so it doesn't really matter.
My case didn't have enough airflow and the GPU was reaching 62c, which the manual stated should never get above 60c. Added a EVERCOOL FAN-EC5020M12CA 50mm and temps dropped to 36/38c.
Had my CPU up to 3.6 easily and would run linX for +5 hours stable. Once powered totally off and then back on MB would go in to Bios safemode and reset my settings. Only happened when it totally shutdown. When restarted it would continue to run at 3.6.
Will have to play around with it more.

Other Thoughts: Built this for my folks in a slimeline PC for X-mas. Perfect Motherbaord for there needs.

5 out of 5 eggsHTPC build, works great!

Pros: Bought this board for a HTPC build. Picked it because of the Nvidia 9400 onboard video. Works great and not one problem!

Cons: None!

5 out of 5 eggsHighly Satisfied

Pros: Very feature rich board, especially for its size. It does a whole lot, and almost everything it does, it does extremely well. A high quality product from the inside out.

Cons: Be prepared for some major headaches if you plan on using the on-board RAID. I could go into half-a-dozen separate failures I encountered when running the RAID Controller, but in the end, after over 15 hours of trying different drivers and hardware, and running individual component tests, Tech Support informed me that I needed to revert back to an older BIOS, three versions prior. Odd, but the system runs flawlessly now.

90 degree SATA ports are nice, but in a compartmented case like mine, you'll likely need to cut a hole in the divider between compartments.

Customer Support is definitely lacking compared to some other companies. Manuals provided with the board are largely useless, although there is a very good extensive version available online. Tech Support consists of e-mail, which took a couple days to bear fruit, and the forums, which were absolutely useless.

Other Thoughts: The board has a fair few cons, as listed above. It's not perfect, but I still consider it the best overall product within my criteria (processor and memory from old board).

5 out of 5 eggsGood Deal

Pros: This board worked for me right out of the box. The BIOS has plenty of options for overclocking. Supports SLI. Stable. DFI support answers emails quickly.

Cons: The manual states this board supports DDR2 1066. But when I set mine to 1066 it would not POST. Downclocking the RAM to DDR2 800 fixed that. Going to contact tech support to see if it is a misprint.

Other Thoughts: My setup:
Coolermaster Centurion 5
Thermaltake Purepower 600
DFI LP JR GF9400
Q6600 not Overcloked
PNY 9800GTX+ 512MB
4GB OCZ Gold DDR2 1066 Dual Channel
WD Green 500GB HD
Hitachi 250GB HD

2 out of 5 eggsnot worth it

Pros: Seem fast WHEN it works. Has nice overclock features. Good part placement, sata, jumpers, etc.

Cons: Did not work right out of the box. Had to reflash bios multiple times before i could even get it to boot a disk without crashing. Manual is useless for the bios settings but its in like 30 languages. The onboard reset and power switches were broken floating around in the box when i opened it.

Other Thoughts: I would not buy it again nor recommend it to anyone for the price/problems ratio. I expected a board of this price to be way better. if you do decide get the newest bios from website, they are the only ones that worked for me.

3 out of 5 eggsNice

Pros: Very good, it is what you pay for, and it comes with easy connectors so it's easy to connect the tower connectors to the motherboard

Cons: First one was defective i had to send it back for a replacement, and the audio port on the motherboard may not be functioning correctly

1 out of 5 eggsFirst defective waiting for second

Pros: Side-opened SATA ports

Advertised specs

Bought it to build a balanced (cost, power, and performance) Vista Premium media center:

1- nMediaPC case 2000S
2- Silverstone PS ST60EF
3- Core 2 Duo
4- 4 GB DDR2 Kingston
5- 80 GB 2.5 Fujitsu
6- DVD Burner
7- Jaton 8400 GS card to work in boost hybrid SLI mode with onboard GE9400

Cons: 1- Defective

Spent 3 full days trying to install Vista and XP with default BIOS configuration as well as modified ones. This board caused installation to crash with BSOD repeatedly. Tried without the extra GPU. Tried with 2 GB RAM. Tried with all USB devices disconnected

When an install actually succeeded, OS crashes were frequent as well.

2- Hybrid SLI drivers

I knew I would only get boost (not power-saving) mode with Intel platform and Vista OS. Enabling it in BIOS was easy but Nvidia drivers kept crashing. Eventually hybrid SLI worked but the board kept crashing the OS.

3- Manual lacking and says very little about BIOS settings and their meaning. If you're going to charge your customers $150 for a board, create informative, not glossy, manuals.

4- Online utilities to update/flash BIOS don't work (at least the Vista method).

Other Thoughts: When configurating BIOS to emulate SATA as IDE make sure to connect all drives, you want the OS to see as IDE, to SATA ports 0-3

Waiting for the replacement since newegg is not giving a refund. May update the review if the second is better.

1 out of 5 eggsDFI LP JR GF9400-T2RS LGA 775 NVIDIA GeForce 9400 HDMI Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Small, colorful, with lots of ports to connect to.

Cons: All 6 SATA ports are non-working. 4 of the SATA ports atually imtate IDE ports as port 0 and 1 in master/slave mode. Two remaining SATA are inoperative. The IDE port is inoperative also. Cannot get in to CMOS setup, even if you mnaged to, the keyboard freeze up and you cannot make any change. Boot system up varies, fron half a minute to 10 minutes.

Other Thoughts: Have not been able to download a BIOS upgrade to fix these bugs.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great overclocker. Has four seperate OCing options to set up and save, and switching OC setups is easy as holding a key on boot. OCd my E8400 to 3.75 without a problem. Not a true gaming machine but plenty capable. Onboard 9400 with HDMI is a huge plus, especially for people looking for HTPC mobos.

Cons: Price. It's a tad steep but I think you get what you pay for.

Other Thoughts: E8400, G.SKILL 2x2 DDR2 800, BFG 400W, WD5000AAKS.
