5 out of 5 eggsSweet Little Motherboard

Pros: Man, i've tried other motherboards in my Antec Aria and had nothing but failures! This one popped in, and was a breeze, no problems at all! It's got some nice touches, such as the red led lights that help you if there is a mobo problem, didn't have to use them, cuz it worked flawlessly, but it's nice to know they were there. The built in video is not that great, if you play any games, but it's nice to have it, because it allowed me to bide my time till i found a sweet deal on a video card! umm..overall it was a great experience, i plopped that sucker in my little mini case, and blam, i was up and installing windows!

Cons: I was hoping that the built in video would be enough for WoW, and it works at low resolutions 800x600, but at higher resolutions, it just doesn't cut it. If i wasn't used to a $300 video card at high resolutions, i might have been okay with it. But the built in video is still nice to have, although World of Warcraft was too frame rate challenged at 1280x1024.

Other Thoughts: I really like this board, it was problem free, and one of the easiest installs of any computer i've put together!

5 out of 5 eggsATTN: onboard video users...

Pros: For those intending upon using the onboard 6100 chip for gaming, you can turn up the PCI Express bus speed up to 145 mhz, effectively giving a 45% performance boost for gaming. Just make sure you have enough airflow in your case because the little bugger will get hot.

Cons: The 6100 still only has 2 pixel pipelines to work with...

Other Thoughts: Good cheap board...

4 out of 5 eggsmine esploded

Pros: well it didnt exactly esplode... but i bought 3 of these boards, 2 for AMD athlon 2200+(the 2.2ghz orleans ones) and one for a athlon 64 X2 4200+.
well on one of the boards the SATA slot was knocked right off, wasnt even attached onto the board, RMA it went. that was the 4200+ board, one of the 2200+ boards decided not to load the bios. fans turned on everything powered but the LEDs on the board and the speaker didnt even buzz when the mem was takin out, RMA it went too. the one left is still workin great, even usin scsi on it and its havin no prob. now biostar is a good company, i still got 20 working m7vig 400s, but where are all these defects coming from.

Cons: my defects listed above, 2 died one didnt

Other Thoughts: i would still buy from biostar, there boards last for long amounts of time and are dirt cheap and give good performance, enough said.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Motherboard

Pros: Laid out nicely, drivers installed easily, native SATA support, excellent budget AM2 board.

Cons: No parallel port for older local printer. I didn't even think to look to see if it had one!

Other Thoughts: Overall this is a great board. I used a SATA optical and HDD, and had no trouble installing either. This was an office machine, and won't be overclocked, but the BIOS has all the options. I can see this board working well for overclocking.

5 out of 5 eggsGoing Strong

Pros: Board is designed nicely, everything labeled well. Installed with AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ & Wintec AMPX DDR2 800 1 gig kit, fired up with no problems from the very beginning. Runs XP Pro with no hesitation. I don't plan to do any overclocking it runs fine at stock for the work I do on it. I like the diagnostic LED's and the on board pwr/reset switches.

Cons: Could use a couple extra PCI slots. I have only one left after installing my firewire card. I don't plan to add anything more at this time so not such a big deal.

Other Thoughts: I think this is a great buy for a low budget system. It's stable, drivers loaded flawlessly, & easy to install.

5 out of 5 eggsVery happy!

Pros: I wanted to keep my new PC-build under $500, so I went with this board...hoping that the onboard video would be sufficient for a few months. Even though it only posted a 3DMark05 of 691, I could still play BF2 and BF2142 on modest settings.

Cons: Nothing much to complain about...

The CD/DVD-ROM audio input is *right* next to the PCI-Ex16 slot, so make sure you connect it before installing a PCI-E card...you'll never squeeze your fingers in there to get close enough otherwise.

Only 1 PCI-Ex16 slot; which is fine as long as you don't plan on going SLI.

Other Thoughts: -AMD 4600x2 64
-2 gigs of Patriot 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
-Dual boot (XP Pro/Fedora Core 6)
-Raidmax "Smilodon" case

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy to setup and use straight out of the box...runs with VISTA! Good internal board speed, BIOS is flexible and comes with software for gamers that desire to overclock.

Cons: Finding BIOS update on web is hard...still looking. Then again, the motherboard works great so I'm only looking should I need it in the future.

5 out of 5 eggsDecent Board but....

Pros: Solid little board, everything worked, lots, and lots of bios options allow you fine tune hardware for super fast, stable running machines. The 6100 graphics are decent for onboard, can play WoW at bare minimum video fairly smoothly the newer boards use 7 series graphics.

Cons: Built 2 machines w this board. First was w/1.6 sempy....it overclocked fine to 2.0 w/value memory. Other machine has a 2.6X2 on it, northbridge gets very, very hot with fast chip onboard. I installed a fan onto northbridge to cool it down. Now board is decently overclockable, still I think that it's about all the 410chipset can do to run the newer fast processors. Didn't get hot at all running the 1.6 sempy overclocked to 2.0. Got very hot running the 2.6X2 at stock speed. With tons of cooling, it still doesn't overclock the fast chip very well.

Other Thoughts: I've been using the T-force boards to build inexpensive gaming machines since their socket 754 board. Have been impressed with all of them. I think the chipset is reaching it's limit in performance, might try the newer 430 chipset version if you plan to use cpu over 2.6Ghz, it might not have such a heat issue on the northbridge.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty snazzy.

Pros: I like this motherboard alot, there is alot of overclocking ability, and it's very stable. Out of the box, everything worked to its full potential, with no problem. Easy to set up, and configure.

Cons: Ok this is a great motherboard for some people, but if your like me, who games, overclocks heavily, and it on the computer almost all day, this may not be the best choice. This motherboard only has 2 pci slots, and if you have a 2 slot video card only 1 pci slot will be usable. The memory timing options in the bios are junk for me, I can't even turn down the memory speed without it not being able to boot, however it may be my ram. This board feels crouded, but it's is a micro atx board. The onboard video is perfect for office or internet use, but for gaming it wont cut it. There is only 2 sata ports, so can't add extra sata devices. However all of these problems can be worked with.

Other Thoughts: overall this is a good board, that makes a killer office rig, but for a gamer, or enthusiast, step it up to the tforce 550.
