5 out of 5 eggsGreat mobo

Pros: The mobo is great. Very easy to set up. Great bios features.

Cons: If you have a beastly video card, such as the 8800gts, it blocks off access to the cmos.

Other Thoughts: Buy it.

4 out of 5 eggsnot bad chipset little audible

Pros: awesome board for the price nice having multiple Ethernet ports lots of usb ports good onboard sound sound better then my creative sound card that i had

Cons: chipset fan is a little audible when eveything else is quiet. semi bad location for the PCI-E x1 slots. dual slot cards will block the first slot then the second one will block the fan hole on some cards.

3 out of 5 eggsMaybe next time ASUS.

Pros: It works well for what I intended, a simple utility computer for home that I could do a bit of low level gaming with.

Cons: Documentation was somewhat vague, and the method of setting up the raid is weird loading to a floppy first( What floppy) who still has one? and try to load xp from a sata optical drive. But my biggest issue is this The Northbridge fan is LOUD and dying after only 7 months. the case has massive cooling and a clean operating environment so I have to rate the fan issue as Poor. Oh yeah don't bother trying to find a replacement it is an exclusive Biostar item. so you have to RMA your whole board and be without your toy for two weeks and not to mention hours of time spent dissasembling and reassembling so I give the product 3 stars. But I give Newegg a two thumbs up for their part.

Other Thoughts: I would still buy the product but would like to be able to speak with a real human from Biostar. preferably english.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat board

Pros: Great board with all features most of gamers need. SLI, 4 memory slots, overclocking features.

Cons: No firewire (I have never used it), could have more cables and accessories.

Other Thoughts: Great overclocker, have many options, easy to understand. Good south bridge cooling - active and not audible. Have not had any problems with this board yet, I had 4 of them.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat value SLI

Pros: Price- This product has a decent price, and is feature rich, especially in the bios (compare to other companies, and you'll see! It also has good overclocking abilities. I'm running my Corsair ram at 4-4-4-12 timings...runs great!
Has Lights that could save you the cost or rma of mobo if thesre's a mishap or problem with hardware...most cheap boards do not have this feature

Cons: They did not inlude the spdif cable- had to buy one seperately form Biostar 10 bucks- includes no biggie to me
8x SLI
no firewire

Other Thoughts: the fact that this bosrd only runs SLI at 8X might be a concern to some, but you will not even see a difference unless you're running 2 8800GT's or higher...even then barley I hear (according to biostar support and hardware reviews on the 570sli chipset)
I am running 2 MSI 8600gt OC cards, corsair ram, wd sata hdd in this puppy, and it really Flies!! I have tried both dx9, and 10 titles (Hellgate london, crisis, Quake 4, UT3 to name a few, and it does not skip a beat.
I also had zreo problems flashing to the new bios (from biostar's tw site)
What else can I say I know people personally who have told me horror stories about this company's boards, but for me this is definitely worth every cent I paid, and would highly recommend if shopping for a budget sli entry level setup....very pleased with mine!! A+ for biostar
newegg plug- Good shipping/combo deal!!

1 out of 5 eggsPoor Quality Motherboard

Pros: If you are willing to spend many many hours of your time and are very technologically proficient and understand over clocking, you might consider this motherboard.

Cons: This motherboard is unpredictable (voltage setting continually bounce around, and I know it is not due to my Corsair PSU being unstable), near no support (the website is worthless, and yes, I have loaded 3 other Bios's in addition to stock), it overclock's awfully, the older non-Black Edition Bios is more stable, the voltages are strange and not enough or simply incorrect, and will never stay at the requested voltage, and many of the Bios settings do not stay (I have tried the given program and also flashing from floppy), and anything stated as auto is actually what the Motherboard has deemed as the "Default" *twitch twitch* setting. Do not get me started on the programs given on disk with the motherboard, they gave me nForce 590 drivers as opposed to nForce 570......

Other Thoughts: The only reason I have not RMA'D is that after reinstalling the operating system twice and spending probably 25-30 hours working to simply get a stable overclock on my 5000+ Black Edition to 3.1 GHz and to get my Crucial Ballistix to run at the stated speeds, it is actually decent. However, I had to try literally every possible setting combination for the overclocking as the voltages not only jumped around but also never went where it was set at in the motherboard. It also would overclock the FSB to random things. Oh yeah, the Manual which came with the motherboard contradicted the Bios on the motherboard, and both of these contradicted what was listed on the Biostar website (yes, the Taiwan-based one which Biostar themselves says is more up to date). If you purchase this you are a fool.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works flawlessly. This needs an 8 pin cpu header fron your PowerSupply. You can pick up an adapter for a few bucks. It supports the amd1640-le single core which I am using till I am in the mood for an upgrade. Stable overclock with minor voltage tweaks at 442 FSB. Auto overclock feature works great too (max fsb via auoto overclock is 225 fsb.

Cons: mem voltage capped in bios at 2.1. there is a jumper to set mem voltage to 2.3. If you are a novice tweaker expect to do a bit of forum searching since there is not much documentation.

wont support am2+ cpu, and very fast (5600+ish and up am2 cpus.)without some pretty serious tweaking.

Poor board layout with power header between cpu and rear fan. some basic cable management and things are fine.

Other Thoughts: mushkin 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 works fine at 2.1
AMD le 1640 cpu is officially supported.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks for me

Pros: Okay this review would have had a 5 if they just put an extra sata cable in there, it only comes with one. Other than that the motherboard works great for me. ( also thanks newegg for FAST SHIPPING!!!! )

Cons: needs more than just x1 sata cable

Other Thoughts: I have a large vid card and it was a tight fit but it all worked out great!

1 out of 5 eggsGood layout and features but DOA

Pros: Price, layout, features if it worked

Cons: DOA, poor quality control.

Other Thoughts: I went though some DOA Biostar boards back in the Socket 370 days and stayed away from them until now. I should have known better. I won't be buying another Biostar board.

4 out of 5 eggsBiostar TF570

Pros: AM2, DDR 800, SLI, SATA. RAID. Great overclocking abilities. I have my AMD X2 5600 at 3.13 ghx, memory timings set low, you can even overclock the PCI bus. The monitoring software is nice. The overclock software is meant to be test: you overclock a little, run an app, then change the BIOS settings. This prevents you from having to enter the BIOS for every change.

Cons: RAID was a little confusing to set up: download drivers onto floppy, enable it in BIOS, install drivers at beginning of OS install, then you're good. The CMOS reset jumper is in an awkward position under the video card. If you're running SLI they both run at 8X. Still faster, just not quite as much.

Other Thoughts: Despite some awkward arrangements, this motherboard is rock solid. Good deal too. You could pay twice as much for similar boards.
