4 out of 5 eggsFour years and counting...

2 out of 5 eggsDefective in a little bit more a year

Pros: Cheap board

Cons: Start to have problem with booting from AM3 CPU - Athlon II 215. Looks like it cannot take the power demand from Athlon II even as time goes. Still is a problem with a new power supply. Latest BIOS did not fix issue either.
I have to put back the old Sempron LE which works just fine, even with being slightly overclock.

5 out of 5 eggsNot a bad board

Pros: Am in process of upgrading system. Working just fine after 4 months, Win7 HP, AMD X2 5200+, Saph HD 4670 redwood, 4gig Kingston Value DDR2 800, WEI = proc 5.8 (6.1OC), mem 6.7 (7.0 OC), Both Graphics 7.0, Disc 5.4 No problem install for me.

Cons: Bios are there but Biostar seems to walk alone in naming and such. You need to search for settings and have some knowledge/XP of what you are looking for. I have not used the lan port

Other Thoughts: Turn off the Floppy drive it is in there and it's not a ghost drive. I needed to upgrade Drivers for older Linksys wireless from RALink as cisco never made new for win 7. I bought this as an emergency replacement for a dead Foxxcon and it seems to be holding up just fine. I play WOW at ultra 1600 X 900, 30 Frames consistant in SW Cata. CPU was running Mid 50's on stock so I killed the OC. This is a nice little board for the money. I am only writing this Because while checking some specs I noticed there is a new lot of Open box on Newegg, great price for a cheap MB solution Just don't expect miracles and Don't forget you only have 30 days to test it and get it back if it's got issues. warranty is always iffy with these things.

1 out of 5 eggsLAN Port DOA Twice!!!!

Pros: -Nice form factor
-3 year warranty
-Support Phone number with actual Live Americans!

Cons: Twice the LAN port was dead on arrival! Once I can understand, but after sending it back they sent me another board with a defective LAN port. Is there no quality control? LAN tests fine with other computers, but no LED and not functional in Windows 7 and Linux. Come on Biostar!! I'm losing faith.

Other Thoughts: Sending it back again for warranty is almost running up to half the cost of the board. I'm wondering if I should just bail on Biostar and buy a new board from another manufacturer.

4 out of 5 eggsNice MB

Pros: Nice motherboard well priced

Cons: Small on board video capacity (256mb max), Rebate never arrived

Other Thoughts: the motherboard has been working great for me for over 6 months now, not a single problem the only thing I didn't much care for was the low video memory but that's not that big of a deal since you can easily swap in another one.

4 out of 5 eggsholiday specials be careful

Pros: it is cheap but effective ,bios is nice for a cheap motherboard and also the overclocking options are nice

Cons: do not buy this if your only buying on price after rebate because biostar will not send your rebate and will lie about it if you have proof.
i sent everything and also did the (Must write Promo Code and Transaction ID on the back of your envelope)
wich i taped the the back and their only excuse is that i did not - period
i did not find out untill i emailed them which is the only way to contact them

Other Thoughts: for rebate theft always contact your

2.BBB
3.FTC

1 out of 5 eggsHave 4 - bad news!

Pros: RAID 5 on a cheap board

Cons: Two out of the 4 boards I bought have problems

Other Thoughts: I've bought 4 of these because they are the only low-priced board that has RAID 5 built in. 2 of the 4 have problems - one will not recognize anything plugged into the PCI slots, one will not recognize a videocard plugged into the PCI-ex slot. Extremely irritating. A 50% failure rate = bad in my book. Avoid.

4 out of 5 eggsEasy Install- Good Results

Pros: Compact size and supports common components.
Literature supplied was accurate and straightforward.
Driver CD was functional and complete.
Basic functionality for new or replacement.

Cons: Cpu fan runs constantly at top speed.

Other Thoughts: Simple enough for a novice to install. Bios has somewhat limited settings. Purchased for replacement of lightning fried motherboard in new Compaq SR550 with Athlon 64 dual core processor. Connections were all replicated. Only issues are that CPU fan runs full tilt or if auto sensing is set in bios it strangely does not run at all. No setting to remove summary screen at startup. Otherwise works perfectly, for low cost.
