5 out of 5 eggsGood budget board

Pros: Easy to setup. Cheap. BIOS is neat. 2PCI slots and a PCIx.

Cons: Used it for an HTPC build so it has to be quiet. Had problems with the CPU fan running at max speed at first. Just had to do the fan calibration and got that fixed even when the fan setting is set at 'Performance'. Had 3 case fans to cool the computer and that might have helped because fan RPM varies depending on the CPU temp.

Other Thoughts: Bought an open box from Newegg. CPU screw mounts were not installed so had to improvise and it all worked out well. Id buy one again if I have to build another one.

5 out of 5 eggsSurprise

Pros: Cheap, 4 internal USB headers, PCI express x16 slot.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Pentium D seems to actually run faster on this motherboard.

5 out of 5 eggsREAD IF U HAVE A PROBLEM!!!

Pros: Cheap, compatible, fits the case, works

Cons: Intel G31 chipset has issue: memory speed suppose to be EQUAL or FASTER than CPU FSB.
For example: Pentium D 920 2.8GHz 800FSB needs memory 800MHz, 1066MHz or higher.
How to figure out if it's your case:
On post card - FFFF
With memory - sometimes cuts off after 1 sec, sometimes stays ON, but nothing on the screen, CPU fan spins quiet.
Without memory - stays ON all the time, CPU fan about to take your computer off the ground.
So, if you have this issue you have to get faster memory - it will fix your problem.
Good luck!

Other Thoughts: It will be nice, if Newegg will put the note in red in the description of this item about memory issue.

3 out of 5 eggsNot as great as it was

Pros: This board is a good overclocker, it's mATX form factor is good for an HTPC build, parts of the board are UV reactive.

Cons: The first board I got was DOA so I RMA'd it and 2 weeks later I got a replacement. This board had LAN problems from the begining. I had to restart my computer 9/10 times for it to work. I had all of the updated drivers and all of my parts were solid. This wasn't a big deal though. When overclocking I found that, pending on your voltage increase and FSB, this board starts to kill power to other components. The first to go were the SATA ports, then the USB headers, and then finally the first RAM slot. But the biggest problem on this board is that it no longer has onboard video or power in the PCI-e slot. So now I have to RMA this one.... again.... It didn't even last an entire year.

Other Thoughts: All of my cons are probably just limited to my board (except the LAN issue) so if you need a cheap board you can risk it with this, or you could find another one. When I get this board back from the RMA process I'm testing it and then it's going right back in the box to be used as a spare. I would never buy this board again.

5 out of 5 eggsFantasticly Priced Mobo

Pros: This motherboard is compact yet has the ability to run Core 2 Duo up to Core2Quad, PCI Express X16 graphics cards, and 4 GB of RAM. This is a great motherboard for someone who is trying to build a relatively powerful PC on a budget. BioStar is a reliable name as well.

Cons: None really. It only has 1 PCI Express x16 and 1 IDE port but I knew that when I bought it. Again perfectly fine board for my budget.

4 out of 5 eggsworks fine

Pros: Everything seems to work fine on this board, install went well

Cons: The back plate didn't line up at all on my case, but it could be the case I suppose. Instead of a real manual it has a roadmap style sheet, which I hated.

Other Thoughts: I'm using this in a cheap server that I don't expect much out of anyway, so ymmv.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT BUDGET BOARD

Pros: Over 2 yrs old and still working and over-clocked 20% after this fist week. Prime 95 stable over-clock. Price 2 years ago was 50 bucks. Bios was easy to understand.

Cons: LAN would fail when over-clocked, even after reinstalling drivers. put a spare card in and problem fixed. no voltage increase for ram, so i got ram that only needed 1.8v. Being a budget board, this really is not a con.

Other Thoughts: I got this local, since this was my first build. built it for my nephews (twins) 13th birthday. added A*t*c 500 watt, W.D 400 gb, 8800gt 512, C.M cooler, 2 gigs a-data pc-6400, and E-2180 2ghz processor. over- clocked 20% and it was pretty good. later i gave them my E7300 and bumped it from 2.6 to 3.2. I built it so they could play Elder scrolls 4 Obilvion. Looks great at 1400 x 900 res. Put it in a nzxt alfa case, and with 3 120mm case fans, it stays cool. Biostar makes good mother boards. This was a good first choice and have no regrets. never needed to update bios. 45nm processor works great (E7300). Other processors may have needed the update. It got over 10,000 3d marks on 06, then after the upgrade it got about 12,000. This is a gaming rig in my book.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Basic Board

Pros: Purchased this board with a Intel Celeron processor and some memory to repair my friends Compaq (junk) desktop. For $130 He is very satisfied with a unit that was better than he got it new. For basic computing this is a great board.

Cons: none here

Other Thoughts: Newegg does it again with great prices and shipping
