4 out of 5 eggsGood purchase

Pros: It was a good price when I bought it from here. I got it to replace an original HP installed MB that burnt out. Went in easy and has been working fine ever since.

Cons: I had a bought a video card off a person who added a non-standard fan to the heatsink. Unfortunately there was only one set of pins I could use and I had it hooked up to my case fan. Not a big deal since I never bothered to overclock it, but just wished I had those extra pins

2 out of 5 eggsEl Cheapo no reliable

Pros: Small compact, low power, needs are simple, will use any vintage or modern psu, chipsets don't need massive coolers unlike my p5nsli(nforce4) and my 780i.

Cons: Power vrm is weak and with almost two years of use it is failing with only a tiny celeron D 420 with a max out of 50w at the speed and voltage used. Totally incompatible with hypermemory and turbocache. Does not work with ATI tv/fm tuners. Slow transfer for IDE drives and windows driver for sata is a joke.

Other Thoughts: It will work with both PCI-e 1.0,1.1, and 2.0. Has plenty of usb, and has a floppy. Ram it can be temperamental on this board on rare occasions unlike my 780i with all slots full. Max NB clock is 310MHZ stable FSB 1243.

3 out of 5 eggsFor the price? Can't complain!

Pros: Pros? ehhh, it works? Not sure why people having problems with this mobo but I personally tend to think is user error. Using it with an Intel e5200 and is kicken some serious booty, even for games! Crysis, Wolverine, COD4, etc... cant ask for more!

Cons: Yeahhh, I do have a con or maybe a few... first, cant seem to make the front AUDIO ports works for some strange reason. Could be the case? I dunno but I have not other audio ports connectors to test it, but no HUGE deal there! Second, really strange problem but under BIOS, I had to select NO PLUG n PLAY OS or it would reboot every so often or when intensive gaming. No clue what that had to do with the BIOS settings but hell... it works now and is a baddddd... boy! And no more reboots!

Other Thoughts: Again, for the price? Cant go wrong with this mobo, that is, if all goes well or close to well. Also, the front USB ports work fine so I dont think is the ports on my case with audio problem as I mentioned above. Lastly, I am still waiting for my $15 rebate... but then again, I've already lost so much money by not getting a lotta other rebates is not even funny! For the future, will not order any more with so called rebates! Bahhhumbug!

5 out of 5 eggsNice replacement Board

Pros: Exactly what I needed to replace a dead 570 SLI board that wasn't being used for SLI any more but had 3 IDIE and 2 SATA drives and was being used as a file/entertainment backup server for DVD/MP3/etc .

Cons: More expensive than I expected to have to pay but they have been phasing out any 2 IDIE controlers on the new boards in favor of SATA.

Other Thoughts: Seems reliable and works for my 2 IDIE 300 and 2 IDIE 500 gig drives along with 1 SATA DVD and 1 SATA 380gig drive and 2 SATA Drives 500 gig drives on an expansion card.

1 out of 5 eggsSupport Sucks

Pros: None

Cons: Poor customer support and service, on a product where previous customer recommendations were accurate - buy a different product. Save on the hasseles with BIOSTAR.

Other Thoughts: Obtasined two of these for rebuild or older computers, using e5200 Pent Dual Core cpu's. One board would not POST, second board worked shakely for a few days, then quit. First contact with Biostar went nowhere, they indicated a replacement was in the works, after two week followed up, and they said they were waiting for me. I was never instructed to do anything but wait. After follow-up, obtained a RMA which they had not previously processed, shipped entire unit kit back in orginal box and packaging. They shipped a poorly packaged second board back, without any of the other components that were returned. Very shabby customer service, and obvious non performing boards. First (and LAST) use of any product from BIOSTAR. Buy a different product.

1 out of 5 eggsReally bad, avoid this motherboard

Pros: Nothing.

Cons: After I put everything together, that's when the problems begin. The USB ports doesn't work properly, I couldn't get my keyboard working. Still waiting for a replacement from newegg. Maybe I have to get another motherboard.

1 out of 5 eggs

Pros: None!

Cons: Does not work!!!

Other Thoughts: Built 2 low end systems with these. We are waiting for our replacements of another brand to arrive.First mobo lasted about 4 months and just went dead.We received a replacement from Biostar,it didn't last 24 hours. The other board was faulty from the start, the're not worth the shipping charges to send them back to Biostar for a replacement

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good features for a budget board. Computer POSTed without any issues. Even has some limited overclocking ability. Decent layout for a micro-ATX board.

Cons: Only has 2 memory slots.

Other Thoughts: I've bought a couple for family members computers and have yet to run into a problem. Biostar's site has up-to-date drivers and support for the board. I will probably buy these boards again.
