3 out of 5 eggsDid it's job

Pros: Cheap price

Cons: very limited but expected with the price
sometimes it hangs during bootup

Other Thoughts: Bought this cause my other motherboard died on me after 4 years and needed something temporary. Only issue i've had so far is the random hangs during pc boot

5 out of 5 eggsNearly new discontinued motherboard up and running again

Pros: Fired up after replacing memory I stole from this system last year, and it quickly responded running the Alpha 2 64-bit version of SimplyMepis Linux operating system. I have 3 of these running SimplyMepis 11 and 1 using AntiX Linux. SimplyMepis is easy for new users with its familiar interface & it is Linux that runs below the radar for Windows O/S Malware on the internet but the Intel E3300 not a very frugal processor. I am testing this one to update the other installs to the newer SimplyMepis when it goes gold.

Cons: No method to upgrade to UEFI is the only problem I can see using this older motherboard.

Other Thoughts: Worked for about 60 days when i first purchased the motherboard, and is working again with a new test version of SimplyMepis without problems

1 out of 5 eggsBiostar motherboards consistently have problems

Pros: First motherboard I got was DOA where it wouldn't even post, I RMA'd through newegg and got a 2nd one that needed a bit of fiddling. Eventually I got it running for a few weeks then it just died on me after the 30 day return period. I'm now attempting to contact biostar for warranty service. I'm very dissatisfied w/ biostar at this time.

Cons: Poor quality control and/or design

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Did the job just like it was supposed to

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This replaced a G31-M7 in an embedded system (photo booth).
This board was the closest match I could find that wasn't used. Other than some slight compatibility issues with the photo booth software and the slightly different display adapter, it did exactly what it was supposed to. The company that made the photo booth wanted me to buy another G31-M7 from them for $200... I think not.

5 out of 5 eggs

5 out of 5 eggsBEST 775 SOCKET DDR2 FOR NON SLI

Pros: -Great overclocker
-Fits in ANY case
-Comes with 2 Sata Cables
- A GREAT upgrade from my 300$ STriker Extreme

I have owned my asus Striker extreme for over 4 years and could never overclock my Quad core Q6600, bottlenecking with my gtx 480 i was limited and decided to just pick this board up for 50$ and see if it can overclock, INSTANTLY overclocked with NO issues without adjusting my voltage. I now have my Q6600 @ 3.2 GHZ from its stock 2.4 GHZ on a Zalmon air cooler. EXCELENT computer, my 3d mark 11 scores DESTROY my friends I5 and 570. BEST UPGRADE EVER

Cons: NONE!

Other Thoughts: Ive heard bad things about biostar in the past and I was hesitant about buying this product, SOOOOO glad that i did I love this motherboard

1 out of 5 eggsNew Egg does not back up their products, taking my business elsewhere

Pros: new egg sent me a prepaid ups return rma label after I requested it.....but I had to request it, at first they wanted me to pay rma return shipping for a defective part....I dont think so.....but they good with that

Cons: DOA......did not power up at all, I received it damaged and new egg claims I damaged it......bent cpu socket pins.....installing the processor. I installed a known good CPU in this motherboard, same cpu is now working fine in another motherboard......if I damaged the socket I also would have damaged the processor which is fine. I have been with new egg for a few years, time to move on, they just lost a customer, I have a growing computer business, I don't treat my customers that way and cannot deal with a company that doesn't back up their products and blames the customer for what is their responsibility. Plenty of other places to buy parts out there.

2 out of 5 eggsDissapointed so far

Pros: small, fits even half towers well

Cons: There are no inserts or plastic X brace for screwing down
the heat sink for the CPU. So the system just sits until I
can order a backplate for the motherboard.

Manufacturer Response:

Socket 775 motheboards do not have retention kits. The kits would come with the CPU cooler.
