5 out of 5 eggs

Comments: I have built 4 systems using these boards and have had very few problems. Some of the connector locations are a bit different, and the onboard sound doesn't even come close to a decent Soundblaster, but they are very good value for the money and the AGP slot allows you to easily upgrade the video if you wish. If you are looking for an good, inexpensive board to build a basic machine around, you can't go wrong with Biostar.

5 out of 5 eggs

Comments: I have used this board numerous times now with no problems at all. First time from newegg. I am very satisfied. This is a great board for the everyday user and for the money.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great

Comments: I bought this board along with a Applebred Duron 1.8 GHz. I'm running the Duron with a 166 Mhz FSB, for a nice overclock past 2.2 GHz. This motherboard has worked great, even paired with a cheap PSU. The on-board graphics have excellent 2D quality, noticably better than my Geforce Ti4200. The only thing a don't like is the placement of the ATX connector. Very happy overall.

4 out of 5 eggsOOPS!

Comments: Got the Gigabyte m/b now and same problem, must be the CPU. Now I will RMA the 1800+ XP CPU! Sorry to Biostar, I never imagined getting a bad CPU out of the box. 4 stars because of missing fan and WLAN header on last Biostar m/b.

1 out of 5 eggs33% Yield

Comments: OK, tried the 3rd (RMA replacement) board and it was missing the sytem fan header and another wake-on lan header. No problem, work around that. Then, no post at all, no video out, fans run and HDD spins, no beeps. Another RMA! I will try a different (Gigabyte) m/b and pay a few dollars more.

5 out of 5 eggspretty good

Comments: I have bought 2 of the m7vig pro boards, and both were nice. this was my first m7vig pro d, but i should have known not to doubt it. it works just as well. there are 2 differences i've seen...the built in audio is different, as well as the m7vigprod only having ddr slots, instead of the ddr+sdr like the vigpro. nice, cheap, reliable boards.

3 out of 5 eggs1 out of 2

Comments: I built 1 system with this m/b using AMD XP2000+ CPU and Crucial 512MB DDR266 with no problems, system runs great. Next system Using Crucial 256MB DDR and AMD 1800+, ran for about 10 minutes before the video died, then could not post at all but fans running. Tried AGP card and still no post. RMA'd back today. Will try again but not happy with Biostar 50% yield. Built many systems using ABIT and ASUS, only other m/b problem was with TYAN 3 years ago.

5 out of 5 eggs

Comments: To the reviewer who said he installed an xp 2500 cpu I think you reviewed the wrong product. This motherboard only supports the xp 2400 cpu and lower because it only supports cpu's with a 266 fsb and lower (possibly the early 266 fsb xp 2600?). Anyone who would like to buy a similar biostar board with 333 fsb support for the xp 2500 and higher should look at the M7VIZ.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board at a Great Price!

Comments: Bought this board to build a computer for my wife. Also at the same time bought an AMD XP 1900+, 2x 256mb Crucial PC2700 RAM, and a 80gb WD 8mb cach HD, all from Newegg. Everything got here quick, was very pleased with the service. In my opinion, this board gives you a lot of bang for the buck. The installation went very smooth, the manual was well laid out. Looking at the Sandra benchmarks from this setup, I couldn't be happier for a system built on a budget. I have absolutely no complaint about this board.
