3 out of 5 eggsNot really satisfied

Pros: it is a really inexpensive board, and is great for a regular pc with just standard uses. it underclocks your ram (mine was underclocked to 600Mhz)
it did fine I suppose but ive moved on from that board. it did what it needed to with nothing special. just wasn't for me.

Cons: Underclocked my ram do to the FSB

Other Thoughts: none.

5 out of 5 eggsGood general use board

Pros: Ease of use, support for 8 gb ddr3, workes as intended/advertised. As stated in recent reviews not much of an OC'er, though I haven't done so on any of my systems. Works out of the box. Not a whole lot of features but for the price it went for can hardly complain. Works with Kingston HyperX 2x4gb sticks of memory. Have had it for almost over a year without problems. Ubuntu 12.10 works well with it(do not know if I should point it out but I digress).

Cons: Not really cons but, only 2 sata ports. Also had to update the bio for the board to correctly display my C2D E8400. Was displaying the speeds far below than the stock speeds as well as not correcly recognizing it(not a big issue just noting this). The update went well and wasn't at all very hard to do, just put it on a flash drive boot into board settings choose flash bios, select bios and let it update. Onboard graphics gave video tearing etc during playback of movies(easily fixed though through installing a GPU).

Other Thoughts: Could do with more sata ports.

3 out of 5 eggsNot Great But Ok

Pros: The only pro I can think of is the price and the fact that this board is functional.

Cons: when it comes to motherboards you really do get what you pay for. this one works but I can't overclock on it at all..with my old ddr2 board i could OC my cpu from 2.0ghz to 3.0ghz with no issues but this board can't OC at all without having at least some kind of issue. it does work ok but for the extra 10-20 dollars it would have been worth it to buy a much better board.

Other Thoughts: This was my first experience shopping on Newegg and not a good one if I'm 100% truthful.....this has nothing to do with the motherboard really but the shipping was ridiculously slow..it took more than 2 weeks just to cross the boarder into Canada from California To BC and another week or so to arrive at my door in Nova Scotia..unacceptable!! I've ordered things from China that didn't take that long to arrive. the tracking was almost non existent...I may seriously consider shopping elsewhere in the future.....

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: cheap, basic, no problems.

Cons: CPU offset forced removal of a 120mm case fan. Not the motherboards fault, the fan had an adapter to allow it to fit the width of the case which bumped it out 1/2".

Other Thoughts: Good small FF board for basic computing with light expandability.

5 out of 5 eggsBought fifty (50) of these

Pros: Bought a lot of these and never had to RMA one. It IS a basic board; don't put high-wattage CPU's in it, and it only hosts two (2) SATA devices. The memory options are limited to DDR3-800 & DDR3-1067, etc.
For $50 including S&H, it's a good little reliable motherboard.

Cons: It doesn't support higher-wattage CPU's, it only has two (2) SATA ports, it doesn't support higher-speed memory, it's not going to overclock much, etc. But seriously, it's $50, so that's OK.

Other Thoughts: Good little basic motherboard. Have bought a lot of them and never had to return one. If you know what you are buying, you will be happy with it.

3 out of 5 eggsOK board for a budget

Pros: -Value

Cons: -Has Trouble with some CPUs despite compatibility
-No true surround support
-No RAID controller
-No Gigabit LAN

Other Thoughts: Bought this board to occupy a Old Pentium E2200 dual core had laying around. Was cheapest board at the time. Ran great for 5 months, then I swapped Pentium with a spare Core 2 Duo E8400. Both BioStar and Intel websites state board is compatible with the CPU. Upon installation I get random system freezes during loading screen or other situations. Ive done everything I know what to do as. BIOS re flashes to newest version, Re install all drivers. Re-install Windows even ran MEMtest and a Disk test. Never had a problem with anything till I swapped CPU, I even under-clocked cpu, still same issues. Its still usable but it gets annoying when you have to hard reset PC 3-4 times a day. I will note PC has yet to freeze in game.

The audio on this board does sound good but only support 2.1 at best, even though the specs say 6.1 or something it dosent natively support it, along with RAID or Gigabit LAN(knew this at purchase).

Board does OC somewhat OK, the only options you have are to raise FSB, you can also tweak some RAM settings. With the options this gives I would suggest to get a more name brand (starts with a G, but wont say here to violate EULA) that is only 10$ more and has a boat load more of features.

4 out of 5 eggsgood but doesnt recognise external storage

Pros: Inexpensive
Small size
Comes with a sound, video, and 4 USB with a couple of front headers
PS 2 ports

Cons: Doesn't recognise my external storage devices. Tried a Kingston 8gb USB drive, Seagate 3 tb drive, WD Essentials 1 TB, WD 500gb passport. It would recognise input and open the drive at first. Then it would take forever to read, and would not copy for more than a few seconds without stopping, or giving an error, or remaining indefinitely copying. I tried formatting one of the drives, still didn't work, and they work fine in other computers, and even the FAT one workson my android tablet.
I finally got the WD essentials to load as a permanent drive, by going to windowsdisk management, marking the sole partition on the disk as active, and re assigning a random letter in the middle of the alphabet.

Other Thoughts: It might me a USB related problem. The bios picks up the drives when it is posting and lists the rights name etc, but still the same prob.
Otherwise board is great, I have my q6600 in, although I had to manually set the fsb as it was automatically clocking at 1.7 ghz or so.

I have 600wcoolermaster silent pro
Sapphire radon HD 5750 1 gb
2 x 2 gb patriot DDR 3 1333 ram
250 gb Sata wd internal 7200 rpm

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board!

Pros: Easy to install, Sata, Lan, Audio, and USB 2.0, wasnt DOA.
Replaced an HP Board in an s5-1010 Slim pc, installed in 15mins and only had to install new audio and lan drivers everything else was the same as the old HP board.

Cons: Sata are really closely spaced, but i still managed to plug them in, not worth -1 Egg though.

Other Thoughts: Nice board with great features for an OUTSTANDING price!

3 out of 5 eggsRMA please read! if buying!

Pros: Idk

Cons: Does not support e6550! Please read support list off biostar which was mg fault for being lazy and researching it! It supports the CPU above that and below but not e6500!

Other Thoughts: Newegg rocks and that's why I gave it a I don't know anything else bout the board but Newegg was took quick action in the full RMA and will be ordering another board. I buy all my pc parts from here and this is the first time I've ever had a problem but can't blame them!
