1 out of 5 eggsBSoD's

Pros: Good feature set.

Cons: Random blue screens of death with Windows XP SP3.

Other Thoughts: Thinking about replacing this one since the BSOD's are random and the BIOS updated did not seem cure. Probably go back to ASUS. This is my son's college desktop and he is having to borrow a notebook to complete homework.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Little Board, but...

Pros: Nicely arranged/organized microATX board with plenty of room for a hobbyist/moderate gamer to get their money's worth.

Connectors are fairly well laid out and there is room to place/space cables and peripherals without being all over oneself.

Cons: I know it is 2012 and the SATA revolution is upon us, but some of us did not just start computing yesterday. A little respect and legacy support for IDE drives would have been nice.

I knew going in that I was going to have to get adapters for those drives, but a single IDE channel (supporting two drives) would have been helpful to keep me from jerry-rigging my optical drive and a 500g WD with over a decade of family photos and home movies.

Other Thoughts: It seems most boards are going to the integrated peripherals, which for me is not a big problem. I can still plug in my Sapphire Radeon if I want and my IEEE1394 Firewire card appears to be supported by the available hardware.

I plugged my OS drive from my previous computer into this board and was able to start the system right up, though I have to go through the driver install process (duh) for the mobo and re-authenticate the OS (Windows XP-SP1). I was surprised (however pleasantly) that it recognized anything at all, to be perfectly frank.

5 out of 5 eggsgood to go

Pros: mother board was easy to setup and ran right out of the box. I am not gaming with this machine and it is in fact used by wifey for surfing, book-keepng and FB...with an A8-3870K...8G.....and windows 7 64 pro.....using on board graphics.

This board should be good for a few years.

Cons: none

4 out of 5 eggsWorks fine in Linux Mint

Pros: Works with Linux Mint. Low price. Fast enough.

Cons: I had a problem at boot up in Linux mint at first -- blank screen, I think a video setup problem. I used "Boot repair disk" and added "nomodeset" to the boot setup, and it worked fine after that.

Other Thoughts: I used this board with a Pixxo CM-9E8A-R Computer Case, AMD A6-3650 processor, Kingston KVR1333D3N9/4G memory, LITE-ON External DVD eNAU108-111, and a Realtek wireless adapter PCI card. The bios recognized all of them no problem.

3 out of 5 eggsAverage everyday use review

Pros: Quick install. Decent motherboard. The end.

I have a real nice video card in now, with a 2.7 ghz processor. It's fine in most conditions. Huge video card fit in there fine. ATX is a great form factor, micro ATX as well. Fits in a lot of cases.

Cons: HDMI port was DOA on arrival, VGA port was DOA on arrival, DVI port was DOA on arrival. The night of install thank goodness I had a spare old video card laying around. I'd be upset, but it was 60 dollars. Pretty darn cheap for a motherboard.

Other Thoughts: Overall happy, working right now as I'm typing this. But if I was a real scutch I'd be way upset about the onboard video ports being junk. But hey, you get what you pay for. And for a cheap gaming pc rig, its par on the course.

3 out of 5 eggsEthernet Port DOA

Pros: Cheap

Cons: The ethernet was DOA. I just installed an old NIC, since it was easier than waiting for a replacement.

Other Thoughts: I guess it's an okay board if you're looking to squeeze every penny, and are lucky enough to get a working board. But it ended up costing me more with the added labor.

4 out of 5 eggsBudget Board

Pros: Low price. Works well with windows 7. Has hdmi, dvi and d-sub! PCI Express 2.0 x16, and plenty of sata 3Gb connections.

Cons: The instructions are a little hard to follow and the map is crowded but everything is there.

Other Thoughts: If you get too big of pci express 2.0 card you can cover up one of your pci express 1 slots.
Wasn't too hard to set up you just have to really stare at the manual for a bit.
Remember to update all of the drivers from the website as soon as you install your os. Can save you a lot of trouble!
