5 out of 5 eggsAlmost 2 years...

Pros: A good motherboard for what I built it for. It's my brother's and he uses it for various games, like Civilization and Sim City, but nothing intense like the games I play.

Cons: Long since fazed out for the 4th Gen i-series and the LGA 1150.

Other Thoughts: A good board, no real problems, after initial set-up. Biostar is now one of my favorite boards.

Pros: 1)price was cheap when I bought this mb
2)compatible with ivy bridge cpu

Cons: needs to reflash BIOS with sandy bridge cpu in order to use ivy bridge cpu, other than that, don't have any issue with it so far

Other Thoughts: Support is not very good. They never reply my emails.

1 out of 5 eggsSTAY AWAY!

Pros: Price

Cons: Um, it doesn't work

Other Thoughts: Don't waste your money like I did. I had trouble getting it to POST and showing any video upon build. Then started getting CMOS errors. RMA'd to manufacturer. Shocker, still no video. Getting a different board from a reputable manufacturer (ASUS specifically) so now I have this brick to collect dust and remind me of money wasted.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good

Pros: it is reliable and durable, great for the price. It runs great with my intel i3 and GTX 560 sli. All of the sata ports are great.

Cons: it has a weird fit; the standoff holes on the right are not aligned properly with either of the cases if used it in. it's not a big problem though. I've also had some problems with the audio out, it stops working occasionaly.

Other Thoughts: great for the price, looks nice runs well.

3 out of 5 eggsonly 4 USB total

Pros: Works well - I think.

Cons: Only 4 USB slots on mobo - and that's it. Constantly getting BSOD on Corsair XMS 16GB (2x8GB). Been running memtest86+ for several hours with 4 passes complete with no errors so I think the mobo may be faulty for my system crashes.

Other Thoughts: bought this on another site n 2011. Thinking about buying the MSI Intel Z68 (B3) Chipset ATX DDR3 1066 Intel - LGA 1155 Motherboards Z68A-G43 as it has more functionality at the same price. If I knew this mobo only had 4 USB slots total, I would have bought the MSI.

5 out of 5 eggsgood board

Pros: bought this board in a combo with a i5 2500k and have had no problems. people that have ivy bridges need to understand this board came out before ivy bridge and that's why a bios update is needed.
I haven't tried overclocking it yet but with they 2500k i know i could get it to 4.0 - 4.5 easily.

i have had no problems with it so far

Cons: only con i have is the sideways sata plugs are but that is not that big of an issue to knock an egg off for.

Other Thoughts: TZ68K
i5 2500k
12 gb corsair ram
corsair H60 liquid cooling
asus HD4890 GPU

4 out of 5 eggsSolid Board

Pros: Plenty of connectivity, good price, All the important overclocking options and more. Easy to use BIOS. No noticeable hardware conflicts like some boards (ie. ram against video card) Sound is good.

Cons: The biggest one i've seen (and probably the first you will notice) Is that the board is between mAtx and regular ATX. I have about an 3/4inch of overhang past my rightmost matx standoff. It makes for a slightly more delicate install. This is really the only reason for the 4 eggs instead of 5. I've used this board both with stock cooling and with water, and in all other ways the board performs well.

Other Thoughts: No IDE connector. Not a con for me, but it is worth noting. The voltage reporting from the board is a little inconsistent- 3 different software programs report 3 different values. I'd love a solid hardware vcore measure point. If anyone at Biostar is watching, send me an email.

5 out of 5 eggsNice board, great support

Pros: Great price
Great support (Thanks Jerry!)
Dual PCI-E 16

Cons: Needs flash for Ivy Bridge
Can't overclock Ivy Bridge (yet)

Other Thoughts: I bought this board with a Core i5-3570K. I was feeling bummed that I needed a Sandy Bridge until I read some of the other reviews. I called the 626 area code number for support, and asked if there was anyway to flash bios upgrade without Sandy Bridge chip. They told me to send it in. I asked if I could bring it in since their office is only a half hour away and they said no problem. They flashed it while I waited.. When the tech was done, I asked about the no overclock for Ivy Bridge issue. He said he didn't know about it but wanted to know if it was an issue so he asked if I could wait while he tried overclocking. He verified the issue, and advised to check the Biostar webpage weekly for an update. I'm very happy!

3 out of 5 eggsA great start, and then...

Pros: The motherboard worked great right out of the box. Everything worked the correctly the first time with no problems (got really nervous on the first startup when the computer shut down almost immediately, found that the power supply cord was not in tightly). Added a couple of extra hard drives and PCI cards, no problems. Computer was very fast!

Cons: After about 3 months began getting a CMOS failure message at startup. The computer still would start OK, but occasionally Windows 7 would want to repair itself and then load. Then, going into the BIOS became a real adventure, in any of the 6-7 screens you would select, you could only select the first item. Trying to choose anything else would instantly return you to the first item. This is a problem when you want to re-activate a PCI slot that turned itself off and a remote that also shut down. RMAed the board back to Biostar after trying to flash the Bios and reset the jumpers, neither of which made any difference. RMA process has been slow.... Have been waiting patiently for what was supposed to be a 5 day turnaround.

Other Thoughts: As others have mentioned, the box says model TZ68A+ but the board is a TZ68K+ board. Oh, and the rebate. Its been approved now for 8 months, I also not holding my breath on that!
