5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Great Board. Plenty of flexibility/compatibility with other components. Coming up on a year now and haven't had any issues whatsoever.

Cons: Would have preferred some more case fan headers (only 2), but this was easily remedied with cheap internal adapters. I could see a similar issue with USB's or another connector, but the solution would be the same.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Board

Pros: Put this board together with the FX-8150 8-core, 2x8 G. Skill memory, and a EVGA 9800 GT graphics card. It runs awesome! With no overclocking this thing is pretty fast! I have had it running almost non stop for a week now and it is rockin!

Cons: None so far!

Other Thoughts: Would buy this board again in a heartbeat!

5 out of 5 eggsWorks Flawlessly

Pros: - Fairly good overclock capabilities
- Works with the AMD FX series
- AMD Crosshair support
- Cheap

Cons: - Had to flash BIOS due to old BIOS showing wrong memory speed.

Other Thoughts: Great motherboard for the budget gamer. Paired with an AMD FX-6100 at 4.0GHz and is working like a charm.

Pros: Good board, bought 2 of these to build my kids their computers for Christmas, no issues at all

Cons: rebate process sucks, the deciding factor of buying this board was the rebate which I never got. I wont be buying a board from biostar again if they cant honor their rebate offers.

1 out of 5 eggsGoing back to Gigabyte.

Pros: Worked great out the box.

Cons: It lasted 5 months. Now it will not post. I have verified it is the MB not any of my hardware. Its under warranty but I need my PC now, not down as its needed for work. My laptop doesn't cut it.

Other Thoughts: I should have stuck with Gigabyte, not my first failed biostar board.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: Biostar Quality. I have always gotten good service from their products. USB 3.0

Cons: I would like to see a couple more USB 2.0 headers and /or USB 3.0 headers.

Other Thoughts: Biostar has a good board layout and provides good (not perfect) instruction for their products. For the money they produce a very good quality motherboard. I have been building computers for 10 plus years and regard Biostar as a high quality, reasonable price manufacture.
Newegg is my vendor of choice. While I shop others, I always check Newegg before I purchase.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: After over a month's daily use, still works well for all my parts. Started right up the first time. Good features make this a great board.

Cons: Only one: the north and south bridges get really warm, while the rest of my computer runs cool. First experience with a new board, so dunno if that's a problem or normal.

Other Thoughts: Chose this board for its forward capability and PS/2 port - still have PS/2 keyboards and mice.

5 out of 5 eggsFeature rich and reasonable

Pros: Lots of nice features for the price. Typical Biostar solid build with quality components.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I needed a more expandable board and this one has it. USB 3.0, eSATA, PCI/PCIE slots, 8 channel sound, you name it. Made the jump from BIOS to UEFI with this build and managed to pull it off with no problems.

If you run Linux on this, I recommend that you build and install the r8168 ethernet driver (available from Realtek) and blacklist the r8169 driver that comes in the kernel. It's a pain to have to do it every time you update your kernel, but you will get much better performance.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's a mobo and it works

Pros: Worked great once I removed the standoff that was shorting the mobo out which was my fault

Cons: None works great

5 out of 5 eggsPerfect with Phenom X4

Pros: The entire motherboard is well designed, and clearly labels all the components (really helpful if you ever have to troubleshoot. The AMD 970 chipset is very fast, and the cache memory on the mobo isn't half bad either. Plenty of PCIe ports, and tons of I/O make this one a good choice.

I was originally considering adding a soundcard, but decided to hold off because the audio quality is phenomenal.

Cons: None really, the only thing I have noticed is that the northbridge gets pretty hot during intense use.

Other Thoughts: I found that this is the perfect performance match with an AMD Phenom X4 965.

Got it very cheap on sale. Love the position of the Northbridge. Should make it easy to install the replacement NB heat sink ...
