5 out of 5 eggsIt's good

Pros: I've been running it for about a month with no problems. It'll handle within it's limits. There's no false advertising here. It's amazing for a cheap board. I game on it and haven't had any issues.

Cons: Doesn't come with a laser to incinerate my enemies with.

Other Thoughts: It's good. There's a bios update for FX chips, but the site says that you do it at your own risk. I'm emailing them about it.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Value

Pros: Quick and easy! I have three of these and they are good little mobo's!

Cons: Processor is good for my Linux box and basic media computer. I ordered a CPU upgrade to get my Windows 7 computer up to speed.

Other Thoughts: I have three and would recommend to others.

4 out of 5 eggsReplacement Issue resolved...

Pros: First I want to apologize to the manufacturer who was only trying to help. I did not know until I talked with customer service that BIOSTAR's warranty isn't the same as Newegg's warranty. So anyways the good news is my replacement of this board and CPU will be here in 2 days. To be honest It was running very well. Not one problem..I don't see what could have caused the issue that was occurring.

Ok so I remember reformatting my computer to windows 7 64 bit.. and it ran the setup fine and i was on the desktop installing a few drivers...then It was time for thanksgiving dinner, so I shutdown my computer as usual. and no i did not force close anything. and I went to turn it back on and nothing but the fans spinning.. thats when I began to do a diagnostic on all the components. and finally I got down to well you dont need a hard drive to boot to bios, you dont need a video card. So i removed everything except my ram cpu and mobo....and still nothing and i tested both video cards..while booting up..I knew that the monitor was getting a signal because the light was green. So then I took out the RAM and still nothing...so if every compent is removed aside from the ones needed to boot to bios...then obviously one of the two (mobo/cpu) was the issue. Maybe a shock when shutting down, going to start usng power surges. It could be a thousand reasons.

Cons: Just the whole having it for 3 weeks and this happens

Other Thoughts: good warranty FAST

4 out of 5 eggsPLEASE ANSWER FAST!!!

Pros: Upon arrival everything was perfect, i built my pc, and didn't have any issues upon first attempt on pressing the power button after installing all hardware components...so that was great..OS installed smooth,

Cons: it was running great for 3 weeks up until a few days ago when i shut it down normally through windows and when i got back home i tried to turn it on and nothing. not even the bios would boot...I opened my computer up and saw that the fans on hard drive, video card, heatsink were all spinning but at very slow speeds it seemed like...anyways i tested the video...wasnt that...tested power supplies, wasnt that...tested everything...and when i removed everything except for motherboard and cpu...still nothing...so thats when i came to the conclusion that it might have been partially defective and just had a few power ups and shut downs left in it...so Im returning it for a replacement.... I DO HAVE ONE IMPORTANT QUESTION FOR A MODERATOR OR SOMEONE WHO IS ASSOCIATED WITH NEWEGG.

Other Thoughts: OK THE ORIGINAL RETURN POLICY IS 30 DAYS...IVE SHIPPED MINE OUT ALREADY A DAY AGO..AND MY 30 DAY WARRANTY WILL HAVE EXPIRED ON DECEMBER 7TH...SO AM I OK? DO I NEED TO BE WORRIED ABOUT IF IT ARRIVES AT YOUR FACILITY A DAY PAST MY 30 DAY WARRANTY? BECAUSE IVE GOT THE TRACKING NUMBER AND ITS SHIPPING SO ITS NOT IN MY HANDS IN SPEED WISE... PLEASE ANSWER FAST!

3 out of 5 eggsWorked well until NIC broke down

Pros: Runs well for an XP gaming box and with a Phenom II chip it simply Rocks and ready for full 64-bit WIN7 gaming.

Cons: On board NIC fried during the second week of operation. BIOS reports an option to enable/disable but that is all. Problem confirmed when BIOSATAR's diver CD failed to detect a NIC to re-install LAN driver.

Other Thoughts: Newegg RMA good. Tearing my new system apart and having it down for the next two weeks not good at all... - 2 eggs.

4 out of 5 eggsDecent Motherboard

Pros: Good solid motherboard, stays relatively cool and quiet, handles some basic gaming like counter-strike:source with the built in gpu. cpu can be upgraded to phenom II x4 which is a decent quad core. Runs nicely with 4gb ram, handles RAID 0, and has decent audio.

Cons: comes with AMD Sempron 130, which is a single core and not good for modern games like modern warfare 3. Integrated graphics has a slow transfer rate, only has 1 x PCI-E and 1xPCI slot. Layout on the motherboard could be abit better as the pcie card tends to get in the way of the sata ports on the side. Can only handle up to a 95w processor, so you cant use the phenom II x 6 or the phenom II x 4 Black edition.

Other Thoughts: I have a front panel that tells me the cpu temperature using a probe placed between the cpu and the heatsink, front panel reports 48C and beeps like crazy saying its overheated, windows reports the temp @ 56 - 60C and there's no issues reported from windows or the bios so i think it may be just the panel. Overall a good motherboard for a starting gamer. Might suggest saving the extra $100 for a phenom II x 4.

3 out of 5 eggsWorked good, until now

Pros: I bought this for a simple low end gaming rig for my son. I run a personal MMO server and my son likes to play on it, plus other games(Reader rabbit, educational stuff...)
Great price for a decent entry combo kit. I was pretty surprised it gave as good of scores as it did in Windows Experience, considering integrated graphics usually sucks. Not killer scores, but not bad either.

Cons: Stopped working a week ago it seems. My son just told me it wouldn't power on. Tried different power supplies, checked to see if CPU fried for some reason. Best I can figure is it simply gave up the ghost. Because I removed the void sticker to check the CPU, I think I may have pooched myself on getting it replaced. Not so sure it wasn't user error anyway, my son is 7yrs old. So take this review with a grain of salt.

Other Thoughts: I will more than likely buy same model to replace this one if I can't get it replaced.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Small No Hassle Board/CPU

Pros: Small board with low heat. Decent on board graphics and sound. You can load it up with memory too.

Cons: PCI Board too close to the SATA connections. ATI graphics (Not my first choice). CPU is a 2.6ish single core.

Other Thoughts: I bought this board to build a simple HTPC. Added a SSD and TV dongle, 8 GB Ram and a DVD player. Running great and best of all the Temp is staying very low, which is needed when you are putting a HTPC in a tight space. The BIOS setup is not well laid out or documented but then if you are buying this you probably know not to screw with settings you do not understand.

Final build with Win-7 was around $340 for a small, quiet, stable HTPC with Media Center PVR functionality.

5 out of 5 eggsNot bad

Pros: I picked this motherboard because it was one of the highest RAM capacities available in MB/CPU combos. It is a good replacement motherboard for my budget gaming computer.

Cons: It came with a basic processor which doesn't quite cut it with video games. I didn't realize this, so now I have to go back and buy a better processor; not terrible, but that was one detail I missed in purchasing this.

Other Thoughts: Overall, it's a great motherboard when combined with the right parts, just make sure you upgrade the processor if you want to do some serious gaming on it! :)
