5 out of 5 eggsGood buy

Pros: This mobo has a familiar standard layout, runs some decent hardware and comes with some bells and whistles(some neat little utility programs etc). Easy install works wonderfully so far.

Cons: Nothing negative, which is a surprise considering the flak some reviews gave it.

Other Thoughts: To people who claims DoA with there power supply units and motherboards - please find a beginners motherboard installation checklist on youtube or something - great resources are out there even for veterans.

3 out of 5 eggsOK

Pros: Plenty of options, PCI-E 3.0. Software for power management and overclocking

Cons: 1st was DOA, second one is fine, but had some video problems at first. No drivers provided for built in HDMI port. Bioremote does not work for me. Logitech G510 keyboard not responsive during boot, but that may not be the boards fault, haven't messed around to much with that.

Other Thoughts: Decent board for the price, came with an 8Gb stick of RAM, First time building with this small of a form factor and using BIOSTAR, and I have had no problems as of yet other than 1st DOA

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: Has a lot of features for a MicroATX.

Cons: DOA after a month and a three week turn around for mfr. RMA. Awkward layout with the SATA if you have a large video card.

Other Thoughts: The black is neat looking and so is the POST code readout. Would have liked to see the SATA connections rotated 90° to the right for better cable mgmt

4 out of 5 eggsGood MicroATX mobo for Ivy

Pros: Ivy bridge cpu support

Cons: Z77 chipset is somehow hot

Other Thoughts: With i7-3770K and G.SKILL 8GB DDR3-1600 with XMP profile which comes as a gift from NEWEGG, works great for daily uses

5 out of 5 eggsSo far, so good

Pros: Has everything I need for a building my first PC. So far it works well and meets all of my needs. I have had no troubles with the installation.

Cons: Wished it had a PCI slot so I could've transferred a firewire card from an old PC. But I knew up front it didn't have that. Some of the instructions could have been better written.

Other Thoughts: Got this motherboard with the deal for 8GB RAM for free. I probably would have bought something else if this deal wasn't available.

5 out of 5 eggsPretty good mobo

Pros: Debugging LED
Z77
SATA III
Has USB 3
PCI-E 3
Supports 32gb of RAM
Supports DDR3 2600 ram

Survived some accidental physical damage
Survived being put on a carpet
(Above 2 demonstrate what you should never do)

Cons: The CPU socket is positioned pretty weird so installing my Hyper 212 was a bit harder.
Can only use 2 case fans (not CPU cooler), but I solved this problem by buying a fan splitter wire.

Other Thoughts: I accidentally bent the socket pins. After 3 days of trying to straightening the pins out, I finally got my CPU. I inserted it, and everything worked fine. I am so happy

5 out of 5 eggsGood Stuff

Pros: Haven't had any problems with it. Has a temp detector that looks like a basketball shot clock. Looks really cool and easy to install.

Cons: It might just be me but when i connect my power cord to it to press the on button on my computer it doesn't turn it on so i have the press the on button on the motherboard itself. Again might just be me.

3 out of 5 eggsGood board, Not recommended

Pros: mostly, the price. High end support, and Her fair OC ability

Cons: no SLI? that's the worst part. Even worse, this mobo didn't fully utilize her USB 3.0 performance. What? plug two USB 3.0 device, and they will run like USB 2.0.

Other Thoughts: Biostar could really improve on their USB 3.0 performance. Their compability has a lot Issues. Well, It's still worth a buy. Considering their value.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you for feedback, if you are interested in SLI for Intel 1155 platform, we have other motherboards that can support SLI like TZ77XE4 or TZ77XE3

5 out of 5 eggsNice MATX Z77 board

Pros: Got this board for a new build. Slapped a i5 3570k in there with a PNY gtx 670. Runs great! EASY overclock to 4.5 ghz on the i5 through the decent BIOS. Don't even think about using the included Toverclocker utility. I tried it and all it did was conflict with the settings I has set in the bios. Just use bios settings and you'll be all good. Bios not as fancy as other brands but all the tweaking you will need is in there. Others have mentioned the layout of the board is not great. I thought it was fine and actually very similar to my old H67 board. My new build is in a NZXT Vulcan matx case which is also awesome. Check it out!

Cons: None really for the price and features so long as it keeps working!
