3 out of 5 eggsGood quality but lacks ease of use

Pros: This mb is great quality for price! As said it has everything labeled well and it wasn't DOA which was always a pleasant surprise...

Cons: Overclocking is a nightmare and the uefi bios is near impossible to use. The programs that come with it are complete junk and if you use any of them with the bios completely default all they do is cause freezes and program crashes.

Other Thoughts: Great budget board if you plan to run stock and/or have extensive overclocking knowledge.

4 out of 5 eggsWorth it.

Pros: Great for a budget gaming board for the price. No wifi, but just pick up a pci-e wireless network card for $15.00 and you're good to go. Seems to be of great quality (I'm not exactly "easy" on equipment either). This was my first build and I've been constantly adding things like drives, cooling system/fans, etc. Everything on the board is well positioned/labeled and sturdy. Every addition is easy. (never hard to find a system fan plug, etc)

Cons: The SATA ports are aligned in an odd way. (otherwise I would have given 5 eggs). They are in line and close, if you need to unplug number 3 for example, you have to first unplug 1 & 2 because of the clips. It seems as though that could have been avoided.

Other Thoughts: Video cards! Forget SLI. (I don't think that should go against the product, just realize its not going to be an option.)

5 out of 5 eggsbest value for your money

Pros: after doing extensive research, this was the best bang for your buck board that I could find. Lots, and i mean LOTS of features for any overclocker built right into the bios. I have had this for over a month and picked up another to build a second budget machine. Combining this motherboard with an intel i7-3770k, i'm able to get stable speeds with this cpu OC'd up the wazoo.

Cons: only 1 pci express 3.0 slot, however that isn't a real con as pci express 3.0 is WORTHLESS right now, offering NO real performance gains what so ever. Had I known this, i would have purchased this board even sooner!

Other Thoughts: Pretty much a NO brainer if you are shopping for a z77 motherboard and are on a budget of ~$140 or less. I picked this up for $120 and couldn't be happier. Last but not least, there have been no system crashes yet; hence i went and picked up a 2nd one after safely being able to push my first to some real limits =)

5 out of 5 eggsSurprised me

Pros: Great Overclocker for my 2500k
4.5GHz 24/7 @ 1.38-1.4v
Room to pull of higher clock, could hit 5GHz on air
Running strong
Board feels solid

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Would recommend for a budget board, works wonders.
Others may have had problems but mine seems to be running like a champ.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT MOBO

Pros: Great cheap little motherboard for the price, so far i have no problems with it

Cons: only downside is that it only has one pci 3.0 and has no wifi but i am hooked up by ethernet so it doesnt really matter at all and im only using one graphics card so i cant really complain.

Other Thoughts: Great mobo, i purchased off another website tho but still is great!

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: cheap mobo for high end z77 chipset. good performance (as far now)
OC Memory easily on bios.

when my OC failed(looped reboot with blank screen), it only need to long press the power button to force power off and then the BIOS will restore the last known good BIOS profile and voila the system back.

Cons: it's cheap yeah,so only bundled 4 SATA cables and Driver. if only biostar would add WiFi card I would add 5 eggs :).
the OC software is very lame...but it's not problem at all (who would OC CPU system on the fly).
the BIOS theme colors needed more good looking design.

Other Thoughts: With my rig
Core i3 3220 @ 3,4GHz 7.3
Team Elite PC1333 @1600MHz 7.6
DA GTX 660 7.9
WD 500G SATA II 5.9 (wait for SSD upgrade)
Cooler Master 525 watt
TP Link WiFi card
Venom RX case

works great. Cheap and good performance

1 out of 5 eggsThings were going well...

Pros: Pretty good budget board. Good balance of features

Cons: Does not work with my LSI megaraid card in either of the x16 slots. Working with support, but very slow to get any response from them.

Other Thoughts: If this can't be fixed, i'm going to have to take the entire system apart to return the motherboard. what a waste of time.

Manufacturer Response:

Sorry, we do not have the LSI megaraid card to check your case, but will check if LSI is able to provide sample to see if there is some sort of compatibility issue. Please feel to contact Biostar at support@biostar-usa.com

5 out of 5 eggsNo Issues

Pros: I've built two machines using this motherboard, one with an i5-2500 and another using an i5-3750K. Both have worked great.

Cons: No real cons that I have come across.

Almost perfect budget board
