2 out of 5 eggsRam amount gets confused

Pros: Very cheap board. Uses very little power and can handle a number of hard drives

Cons: Does not see the full amount of ram I have install consistently.

Other Thoughts: The issue I have had I have kind of isolated and it is repeatable consistently. If I do a warm reboot the board only sees 3.61gb of installed ram. If I shut the system down and pull the power cable for 5min, then power it back up it sees 7.61gb of ram.
I have new ram in it and a new 500watt power supply. Still same issue.
I have contacted the manufacture, it also has the latest bios installed.

3 out of 5 eggsMemory issue

Pros: Cheap. Works for what I wanted it to do.

Cons: Does not recognize all of my ram. I have 8 gigs of ram it sees it but says I only have 3.61 usable. I have tried updated Bios, still same thing. I am running Windows Home Server 2011 (64 bit). I have tried to decrease its ram clock speed and up the voltage. Nothing works. but sometime when I power it off and back on Windows will see 7.62 gigs of ram. I have replaced the ram, still same thing. I have replaced the powersupply with a better and newer one, still same thing. Wish it would see all of the memory. When I first bought it, it came with bad ram which was replaced by Newegg(great company). But still even with Kingston ram there is some kind of issue. Maybe just it just not like Windows Home server

Other Thoughts: Good board, just wish I could resolve the ram issue.

5 out of 5 eggsHTPC Build

Pros: Used this for a new HTPC build using W8/64bit and couldn't be happier. Have had none of the problems others have complained about. Using GOM for video playback and plays 1080p streamed across the network with no problems at all. It is not the fastest machine I have but for $80 with 8gig of memory how can anyone complain?

Cons: really noe at all. It has performed exactly as I expected.

Other Thoughts: I have had problems with other Biostar boards but not this.

5 out of 5 eggsFit perfectly

Pros: Very fast boot time
Small fan

Cons: CPU bottleneck if you plan on doing some hardcore strategy gaming. As reference, windows rating gives it a 3.4 in processing power, but cant complain with that price.

Other Thoughts: Remember to put RAM in before screwing the mobo down :P

4 out of 5 eggsKnow what you get

Pros: It was incredibly easy to setup, everything worked on the first try. Got it bundled with 8GB of memory for free at the time. Handles 720P media fantastically, running XBMCuntu

Cons: Overheated at first when both cores were under full load, adding a better fan to the computer case fixed that problem.

Cannot handle 1080P content without stuttering.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Little board

Pros: Bought this for a budget build, great little Motherboard. Faster then my old computer.
If your looking for a budget motherboard Cpu combo, can't go wrong!!!!
Thanks NewEgg keep up the good work.

Cons: None thus far

Other Thoughts: Was a little worried that this would not fit my ATX mid tower, seeing that this motherboard is a mini ITX, but fit like a charm, just looks extreamly small.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks great with 'PSS Support' disabled

Pros: As a previous reviewer stated, turn off 'PSS Support' in BIOS. Do that FIRST.

Then install Windows 8.

Installed this one with an SSD drive. While not a very fast computer (let's face it, it's not meant to be that) it works fine, very reliable.

Use it as a file server and some media streaming.

Cons: Received with free RAM. Free. Hard to complain about an eighty dollar MB/CPU/8GB RAM setup that works well.

Other Thoughts: Install with SSD. Don't use a spinning drive with such a slow CPU. The SSD gives it the 'zip', the CPU needs all the help it can get.

5 out of 5 eggsCame with free memory...I should have been skeptical

Pros: Like I said in previous review: fast delivery and great price. And now that I know where the cons are coming from (I'll explain in con section) I'm very happy with motherboard. It's a nice simple upgrade to a general family computer that doesn't need a lot of power.

Cons: "Came bundled with free memory..." I should have read the first line of my original review of this motherboard. I don't know why I didn't check out the review of the ram that came free with this motherboard but when I did I found that 50% of reviewers gave it 1 egg! All the freezes and non boot issues were not, I believe, anything to do with motherboard but the memory. I grabbed a package of Gskill memory from the shop I work at and not only does the motherboard work fine but it's much snappier.

Other Thoughts: Apparently, Newegg is responding to the complaints because I noticed that all the motherboard bundles that were coming bundled with that memory are no longer being sold that way. But if yours came with memory do a quick read of the review of the memory and make sure you didn't get that bad batch of memory. Some people had luck with slowing the speed of the memory but I'm not even going to play around with it since there's no way of knowing how if that's a good long term solution. I ran the motherboard and installed all drivers and software with no problem after I installed different memory. My CMOS error disappeared and no freezes. I wasn't going to give the motherboard 5 eggs but honestly it's performing flawlessly with different memory so far so I can't fault it. Just please use any memory that came bundled with it cautiously. Or like one reviewer said of the memory," I have two brand new book marks".
