Pros: None

Cons: It didn't work. Wasted a couple hours of my time testing out different components only to finally realize that it was the motherboard which was bad..

I hate when this happens

4 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: Replaced a bad motherboard. Swapped and worked without any problems. Completed updates on everything and it ran smooth. I'm up and running writing this review.

Cons: Nothing really - I went into this knowing there would be no USB 3.0 and that the motherboard is TINY.

Updating this thing is like a dark art, HOW DO YOU UPDATE THE BIOS?

5 out of 5 eggsnice board

Pros: cheap and functional. This board replaced a $140 dollar board. I decided to go cheap because I have not seen any improvements in performance between cheap and expensive boards. This board has no problems and works as expected for half the price of the previous board.

Cons: none yet

Other Thoughts: buy this board it is inexpensive and work as expected and supports very fast cheap AMD processors

4 out of 5 eggsGreat board for the money

Pros: Very cheap, supports cpu's up to fx 8350, very small so it fits in small cases.

Cons: well, the pcie x1 slot is 100% pointless if you use a dedicated graphics card, as a single slot card will cover it up entirely. Also, because this board only has a 3+1 power phase and a 4-pin cpu power connector, I would not trust a 125w cpu in it.

1 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for

Pros: Worked sometimes.

Cons: Almost never worked properly. Second time I bought a Biostar board and the second time that I wasted my money. Never again!

Other Thoughts: Would work enough that it managed to stay from the garbage heap because I only would use the PC once in a while. Now it won't even Post. What a piece of garbage. Same as the first Biostar board that I bought; Dead within a year or so of light work.

3 out of 5 eggsBIOSTART A690

Pros: Board is compatible with my components.. mostly.

Cons: Northbridge gets up to 65 degrees, without being under intense stress. This causes lag in gameplay, video playback.

Other Thoughts: Wouldn't purchase this board in the future.

4 out of 5 eggsWorked, but a catch in a package deal

Pros: Simple to install, matched the case pretty well, decent diagram for components included

Cons: Only a single case fan plug.

Other Thoughts: Bought this as part of a DIY kit here on NewEgg. The case had two case fans installed on it, each requiring the standard case fan plug. the mobo only has ONE plug for a case fan.

This required additional work (and parts) to get it all connected up correctly, and even then the two case fans are sharing a single plug (which, I hazard to guess might make the system measurements a little out of whack).

5 out of 5 eggsWorking great

Pros: So far so good. Bought this for a little budget computer to replace an ASUS MB that fried. Very pleased so far. Hooked everything up to it and it fired right up.

I had to but some heat on it to get some plugs in but it felt sturdy enough to handle it.

Cons: Only problem was the screw holes of the MB did not line up with the holes in my case. This proved quite annoying.

I am holding it in with only one screw and some handyman work but hey its working and in place.

3 out of 5 eggsBiostar is moving up!

Pros: This board has some decent features for the price, It's ok for a budget pc or gaming.

Cons: Doesn't like my Logitech g19 or g9x mouse. Computer won't post all the time if I use the usb ports in the back. What corrected the issue is, plugging the keyboard alone in one of the rear usb ports, and then using the usb ports on the keyboard to plug in the mouse and camera.

Other Thoughts: Rear usb ports work fine with all the Microsoft keyboards and mice I tested on it. Strange...
