Yeah, Baaaaby!!
- Pros: Functions as it is supposed to...very well. Runs great at stock settings and overclocking is extremely easy. This is a great bargin for those like me who desire a boost in performance but, want or need to stay with their socket 775 hardware.
- Cons: The 790i Ultra Mobo's are getting hard to come by nowadays...especially as inexpensive as this. I wanted to get EVGA's "For The Win" version of this board but, NewEgg no longer stocks either of them.
- Other Thoughts: My System:

Great motherboard!
- Pros: Very easy to overclock. The multipliers are very easy to set, and is very stable in Windows 7. I bought a zalman 9500 tunnel heat sink and was afraid the FSB heat sink and pipes wouldn't allow it to fit... but i stood corrected by the mobo itself. Amazing motherboard... an NVIDIA fan would love this. The monitoring and configuring software is pretty neat too. Also two Ethernet ports mean TEAMING!! WOOT WOOT!
- Cons: 1 PCI Express 2.0 runs at x8 instead of x16... but you won't see a notable difference in SLI.
- Other Thoughts: To people who say this board is unstable, i suggest you check yourselves for that, because it works great for me. Make sure you guys who do not know how to build computers to read the manual. Most bad reviews on a motherboard are because of the whole thing being installed incorrectly. Also, make sure you reformat your hard drive before running it... you'll need to reinstall your os or your gonna get a lot of errors. This is with any motherboard though. And if it shuts your pc down after a few seconds because of overheating... make sure your HEATSINK is down the whole way and secured with thermal compound on the cpu. I know those inferior intel ones are hard to get down, so just go out and buy one with a back x plate.
Still running smooth!
- Pros: Had over a year and still running smooth. Even bent one of the capacitors trying to install a disc drive - just bent it back and it still worked great! Overclocking is a breeze, no problems so far (though admittedly not too many attempts). 3 PCI-E lanes, lots of SATA ports, 1600mhz FSB, who can complain!
- Cons: I bought this when it first came out at about $300, it's "nice" to see it come down so far in price ;)
- Other Thoughts: q6600 OC'd to 2.66 (had it at over 3.0 but didn't wanna keep it there), 1333mhz RAM (4gigs), twin 8800GT's in SLI. Nothing I can't play at max settings on 24" of 1920x1200 goodness.
