2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Decent price

Cons: Terrible support website and staff, two dead boards in less than 3 years

Other Thoughts: I bought this board, had it almost two years before it died. Told tech support that nothing happens when you try to turn it on (like it wasn't even plugged in), yet they kept asking me what kinds of error codes it was giving me and treating me like I know nothing about computers. Finally got a replacement, only to have it die less than a year later. Last board I will ever get from this company!

3 out of 5 eggsNothin amazing

Pros: OC my q6600 to 3.1ghz with some ddr800 ram. loving sli, everything is spaced for a nice big cpu cooler.

Cons: as another reviewer said ONLY 1 INTERNAL USB HEADER! so my front usb's dont work, just the IR remote thingy. also a bit difficult to OC but it can be done, mines not very high because i dont game very often and id like my proc to last.

Other Thoughts: one thing that was a bit odd was when i tried installing a 1.5tb drive it only partitioned as big as 980gb... the other 1/3 was unusable/ not sure if it's the boards fault or mine but i returned. i only needed it to transfer files.

5 out of 5 eggsXFX extreme to the max!!!!

Pros: this board has a lot of stuff, the eSATA, the CMOS reset, the Freaking Debug display! on top of that the board is SLI ready first thing and has 4 SATA ports(perfect for a couple disc drives and a hard drive)

Cons: it only has 1 USB header...seriously, just one...ARE YOU JOKING?!?!? this is 2009 USB 2.0 has been a standard for how many years and you make a board with 1 USB HEADER!?!?!?!

Other Thoughts: price is a bit more than I was looking for, but with so many neat features i splurged and so far am as happy as a clam

5 out of 5 eggspretty good

Pros: good price, works well

Cons: requires tweaking to work best, for example, setting the voltage for the ram and what not, but then I guess this can be said for any board

Other Thoughts: xfx support is great, they help you a lot! Have questions, just ask and they get back to you with a good response in 1-2 days

5 out of 5 eggsnot to shabby..

Pros: Takes 64bit XP like a champ. Q9550 [2.83GHz] OC'ed to 3.2GHz with little difficulty, not much though . 8Gb of ram and two XFX 260's in SLi, booted right up without a hitch. NOT a flimsy board... pretty thick to me and no warps or bumps anywhere..

Cons: Heatsink gets first graphics card pretty warm, nothing to get worried about though, unless you have a poorly ventilated case..
Unfortunately true what the other guy stated, it's really picky about the voltages on ram.. anything really over 2.0 volts it gets testy and sometimes pops up with blue screen.

Other Thoughts: get it, not a bad board in the least bit. wouldn't go as far as to say it's like the 780i, but it's pretty close and a few bucks cheaper.

4 out of 5 eggsGood board... BUT!

Pros: Seems to handle Vista 64bit good... which is not easy to come by. So far so good, no problems...

Cons: Board is very sensitive to proper RAM voltage ratings. When you put RAM into this board make sure its voltage is rated between 1.8v - 1.9v. I had some 2.1v RAM and it was very unstable... giving blue screens on boot ups.

Other Thoughts: Running an 8800 Ultra video card and to change the RAM in and out you have to remove the video card. I know once you put your RAM in once that should be it... but with my trouble shooting it was a big pain.

1 out of 5 eggsNot worth it at all.

Pros: It looks great. Nice packaging, good specs.

Cons: 1) Poor Instructions, no Hard copy instructions, often inconsistent with what is actually on the board.
2) Arrived DOA, Did not even post.
3) Board is very flimsy in comparison to other boards I have used by Asus and Gigabyte.
4) Support Often took 48 hours to respond to a question.
5) Northbridge heatsink quite tall, makes contact with most 3rd party coolers.
6) Support is very rude over the phone, often hanging up if they get the slightest bit frustrated.
7) Overpriced

Other Thoughts: I got this from another site because it was a great deal. Dealing with XFX support is not worth this board. I returned it for a refund. I highly suggest another company.

Manufacturer Response:

We are sorry to hear that you have had a problem. I have not had a single report of any support members ever hanging up on a customer. Please email your support ticket ID and any details about your phone conversations to Thank you.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good mobo. Posted the first time. Works with Win7. Has everything I was looking for in a motherboard.

Cons: The heatsink between the two PCIE x16 slots puts a lot of heat onto the graphics card. Its a hassle to overclock, but it can be done.

Other Thoughts: I got it on sale for 119 I think. Now that its back up to 169 I'd go with the 780 or 790. Depending on your memory type I guess.

5 out of 5 eggsDoes what its supposed to do

Pros: -Posted the first time
-Color scheme
-Lay out of board
- Quick cmos clear button and debug L.E.D

Cons: - One front panel Usb connector
- Manual on cd dosent help if you dont have a spare pc around
- Overclocking is limited

Even with these flaws this board still gets 5 eggs these flaws are small and no mobo is perfect the manual being on the cd didnt bother me didnt need it anyway but for those that have only built a few systems may need access to the manual they do include a quick mobo guide

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure why these other ppl are having issues 9-10 times I find it to be user error and its hard to really know since everyone thinks they are a highly skilled computer builder and are not honest with there tech skills when submitting a review if you get a DoA it happens to us all atleast once

I built this rig for my younger brother (16) hes on a budget but wanted SLI.
