4 out of 5 eggsOK mobo with poor layout

Comments: Just a few words about the layout of the board. The ZIF socket is oriented so that you must remove the system RAM to work the retention clip of the heatsink/fan. It has a 3 pin power connector for the CPU and front case fan only. So if you have a power supply that requires a pin connection for it's fan you had better have a molex-3 pin adapter handy. Like most mobos with built-in audio the front panel audio header is on the BACK of the mobo. This makes for a long stretch for the font panel connection wires, if they reach at all. Lastly the power connection is in the dead middle/rear of the mobo which forces the power supply wires to cross across the CPU heatsink/fan. Performance and reliability aside, I would pass on this mobo simply because the layout shows a distinct lack of planning on XFXs part.

4 out of 5 eggsGood value for the feature set

Comments: Purchased this board from a different vendor because of a rebate offer and took 2 wks to recieve it. Rebate returned undeliverable due to incorrect address supplied by vendor. Should have never strayed from Newegg (now cost me $20 more). Building a low cost system for my daughter. Went together fast with AMD XP1600, 128 MB PC2100 and PNY GforceMX200. Had a great deal of trouble installing the video card in the AGP slot (just would not seat correctly). After 4 attempts and an excessive abount of force I was finally able to get it to seat and system to post. Really think the circuit board material was thicker than normal on the video card. Over all a good board with nice features.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Value

Comments: Kingston HyperX PC2700 running at CAS 2 (2-2-2-6-1T), this mobo doesn't support 2-2-2-5-1T, with 333 FSB & 333 memory bus. Am able to synchronously overclock both buses up to 366 with these low latency settings. Athlon 2500+ Barton & XFX KT400ANB & eVGA 128-A4-NV71-S2. No errors after 6 hours of burn-in with MemTest86, then ran PCMark & 3DMark also with no errors or artifacts; all at the low latency and overclocked speeds. eVGA overclocked at 300/400 (default 250/333).

5 out of 5 eggsTook a chance and I think i've come out a Winner

Comments: Bought this Motherboard, knowing well that XFX is fairly new. After looking at all the specs, the KT400ANB seemed the obvious choice for me in upgrading my aging Abit KT7A-Raid motherboard. Installation was a breeze in my Antec case and coupled with 512megs of DDR333 memory and an AMD Athlon TBred 220+, this thing is really kickin! Thanks XFX, I'll continue to keep my eyes on you.
