2 out of 5 eggsuseless hyped up garbage

Pros: -its small

Cons: -its not powerful enough to do anything. You can really do any sort of meaningful webserver work. It wont run a graphical os. It just sucks.

Other Thoughts: DONT BELIEVE THE HYPE.

5 out of 5 eggsSo Versatile

Pros: Cheap

The possibilities are endless.
There are so many projects you can do with this.

Cons: I have nothing negative to say about this. Does everything I want.

Built-in wifi could be a great upgrade.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks great as an emulator

Pros: Works great as a SNES/NES emulator. No complaints there.

Cons: No off/on button, cutting power and restoring it suddenly is a great way to burn out your flash storage quick. -1 egg

2 out of 5 eggsGet a Pi2 instead

Pros: Can run Openelec with Kodi.

Cons: Very slow (ARM11-single core,512MB) comparing to a Pi2 (ARM7-quad core,1GB).

Other Thoughts: Read carefully and spend a few more bucks to get a Pi2. It's only when you already have a Pi2(I have 2) that you can realize how slow this is. With the introduction of Pi2, I think a lot of places will try to clear out their stock on this one.

5 out of 5 eggsexcellent little machine

Pros: Tiny, super low power consumption, powerful, flexible. I've owned the prior version for several years, been using them as HTPC's. The XBMC/Kodi interface on the old version always left a little something to be desired, but this one is greatly improved as a result of the four cores and better GPU.

Cons: Not free, a little bit slow for certain tasks

Other Thoughts: This little baby replaced two full-size chassis computers in my living room: 1) The file server with 8 drives in it, 2) the HTPC. I installed raspbian and then kodi on top of that, vncserver, and samba. So this one box is acting as my NAS controller for 8 drives in enclosures, is serving up files via SAMBA, is a headless server via VNC and streams video to my TV from anywhere, all in a single board that costs practically nothing. HIGHLY recommended if you are linux-savvy.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Credit Card Sized Computer

Pros: Excellent Pocket sized computer the size of a credit card. Easy to set up. Practially plug and play. Very little tech experince needed to opperate. Inexpensive. Almost limitless amont of projects you can do but also fun just messing around and having a small PC plugged into a tv.

Cons: Process speed is slow, which isn't unexpected, and when I had my Raspberry Pi in its case the power supply cable was a little easy to knock out on accident. neither of these though were enough to reduced my ratting below five. maybe give it a 4.9.

Other Thoughts: Very happy to to own my Raspberry Pi. Has worked very well over all. I use it all the time. Only had it since 11/2014 but looking forward to getting the new model.

5 out of 5 eggsGive me another slice of Pi

Pros: The (now second) best hobby board money can buy.

Cons: It would have been nice if the micro USB port was an OTG port and not just for power.

Other Thoughts: This little board is only newly surpassed by the Pi 2 B (quad core) model. This is a great little hobby board, but for the same money take advantage of the quad core Pi 2 model.
