Don't install your AMD Phenom processor on just any mobo. The Jetway HA04 Extreme is designed to take full advantage of its particular qualities. It comes with an AMD 790FX NorthBridge and an AMD SB600 SouthBridge so everything is designed to work together to take your computing experience over the top. CrossFire support is built-in and they didn't waste time or energy including an integrated GPU since they knew you'd be adding your own cards anyway.
Besides the 2 PCIe x16@8 lanes for the CrossFireX video, there is also a PCIe x16 @16 lanes, a PCIe x1 and 2 PCI slots. They were just as generous with the memory slots. The four slots can work in dual-channel mode supporting up to 8GB of DDR2 1066 memory. Storage won't be a problem with 2-PATA connectors plus 6-SATA connectors and 1-eSATA connector. Two of the SATA ports can be made into eSATA ports with the included adapter.
In case that isn't enough for you, there's a Gigabit Ethernet port, 6-USB 2.0 ports on the back panel and connectors for the 8-channel HD audio, including coaxial SPDIF in-and-out ports. And since they know you're going to tweak the system, they put a CMOS clear button on the back panel so you don't have to open the case to reset if you push it too far!

Seriously...Ignore the 1- 4 Eggs!!!!
- Pros: It supports the new 2.4 and 2.5GHz Phenoms.I've already overclocked my 2.5GHz Phenom to 3GHz.This board makes overclocking easily safe.And you get lots of free stuff with this board too.A 2GB Thumbdrive with a built-in Hub (yeah,I know. a thumbdrive with built-in hub too),loads of cables. The board has a giant copper-based heat sink on both the north & south bridge of the board, with liquid coolant in it.So I know it's not going to get extremly hot like a lot of gigabit,abit,and asus boards do.And there is also a giant heatsink near the ports on the side of the board too (with liquid coolant).Solid capasitors are spread everywhere as well.This board is surely going to live a while.But if you think this board is luxury...you should see the box!It's huge, luxurious looking, has a strong magnetically sealed top, and the packaging is crazy-fancy!I'm keeping all of it, just because it's so neat!Oh yeah, and you also get crazy graphics with it too.4get the other phenom boards!This 1 is gr8!!

- Other Thoughts: buy this baord if you want to go with a AMDX2 6400+ or Phenom 2.4GHZ/2.5GHz. totally worth it since overclocking is easy as pushing the up key. lol.
Quite unexpected
- Pros: I was quite surprised by the high quality of the packaging. The board itself responds and performs very stable.
The BIOS options are very in-depth and there are many options for overclocking.
The chipset heat-sink is quite large.
- Cons: The chipset heat-sink is quite large.
The CPU fan connector is underneath the edge of the northbridge cooler.
There are only three additional fan connectors other than the CPU 4-pin.
- Other Thoughts: The AC 64 PRO will fit, but just barely.
Although the CPU fan connector is in an unusual spot, it is easy enough to reach.

Conked Out
- Pros: The only Pro was NewEgg's willingness to allow me to upgrade to an ASUS 790FX while waiving the restocking fee as the Jetway HA04 was shown as out of stock. They immediately issued an RMA when I told them what had happened
- Cons: I bought the package, including case from Newegg. I used an ASUS 512 DDR3 Video Card HDMI. I then proceeded to install Windows XP Pro. It sucessfully formatted the 500GB HD, installed Windows and went to the tutorial when it just quit without warning. I wasn't able to restart it so I immediately contacted NewEgg
- Other Thoughts: Skip this MoBo and go directly to the ASUS. The $40 difference is not worth the aggravation. There seem to be others who have experienced the same with this board
good mobo
- Pros: Fast mobo. easy install.
- Cons: be careful. i could not use windows xp right after i installed new mobo. it took about 5 hours of editing and fixing xp to understand the new mobo. instructions were online and you need to disable intelppm in DOS . kinda hard for newbees. but i knew how to fix it so newbees watch out.
- Other Thoughts: so far so good.
esata **update**
- Pros: My previous statement on esata was wrong! eSata on this board works by running a sata cable from any of the 4 ATI SATA ports (or the 2 JMicron sata ports) to the eSata header by the I/O ports.
- Cons: eSata instructions are vague
- Other Thoughts: Basically, you sacrifice one of your internal sata ports to use eSata
