* Single core, no hyperthreading, 32-bit CPU

Other Thoughts: I bought this system for a linux based landing host / DB server. The priority was power and sound since it would be up all the time. I only had it for a few days before the hardware failed, and am in the process of RMA'ing it with Newegg.

Physically the board is very clean and neatly laid out. Not all of the connectors or pins are labeled, so keep the manual around. There is no connector for extra USB ports, which is a downer, but there is an IDE connector as well as two SATA ports (more on these later).

During the time I had it, I was pretty happy overall. It does lack in the performance department, but that's what you get when you prioritize power consumption and low noise levels. It works seamlessly with Linux; I had no problems at all installing Debian/lenny. Doing manual compiles of software took a bit longer than expected, and this was traced down to a slower-than-expected disk performance. Any fancy 3 Gb/s SATA drives you have won't be able to do anywhere near that through
