5 out of 5 eggsNICE LITTLE PACKAGE

Pros: As other reviewers have pointed out, runs real quiet and cool. Installed the max 4Gb RAM and it runs WinXP pretty quick. Easy to install. Here are a few specs not mentioned in the SPECIFICATIONS section: also has a floppy connector, and has a pin-out for installing a parallel port bracket (not included) in the rear if you want to. The 2 sets of MOBO pin-outs for USB accomodate 2 ports in front and 2 in rear with USB brackets and cables (not included), in addition to the standard 4 USB ports in the rear. With 2 SATA and 1 IDE, makes for a good all-around board. Can't beat the price with CPU, LAN, video and sound included.

Cons: They could have thrown in the parallel port bracket and at least 1 USB bracket for rear mounting. These are small-dollar items, but sometimes difficult to find locally, no problem getting on web but watch those shipping charges!

Other Thoughts: Definitely NOT for gaming or other intense applications, but fine for general everyday use.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat FreeNAS Server

Pros: Cool running and quiet. While moving 39Gb of photos, the processor was running at 18% and RAM usage was at 18%.

Cons: FreeNAS did not recognize the internal LAN chipset, so had to pop in an old DFE-530+ PCI card.

Other Thoughts: Popped in a stick (1Gb) of DDR2 Kingston Value RAM and a SATA 1Tb Hitachi hard drive and had a 1Tb NAS up and running in less than an hour.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Board

Pros: Runs my Suse home database, fax, file server without a hitch. Runs cool. Only uses 23 watts of power.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Going to build a dual core Atom for my wife. No need for the power hungry computer any more. Great service Newegg.

5 out of 5 eggsJust Awesone

Pros: Newegg is just awesome. Just installed my motherboard and everything worked the first time. This new board is 4x faster than my previous Jetway 626 series which I purchased last year and is still running. Unfortunately, it's only drawback is the slow and choppy video. This new model has everything I need to run both PATA and the new SATA hardrives. I purchased some SATA to IDE adapters from another supplier which simply did not work. To run a PATA or IDE hard drives you need an PATA/IDE controller. This mb has both. The Atom is processor with 2 gb of ram is incredibly fast. I just wonder what the full 4 gb will do. Anyhow, I am totally pleased to be able to watch youtube and other online videos the way it should be. My son now wants me to change out his motherboard since mine is so cool and downright fast and efficient.

Cons: As with my Jetway 626 series, the onboard LAN cannot connect to the internet with Ubuntu 9.04. I tried using a PCI D-Link LAN card to solve the problem. Simply, does not work. Guess I will have to purchase another LINKSYS LAN which I know does work on my 626 machine.

Other Thoughts: Installing cables on motherboard a real piece of cake. Documentation is downright simple and easy to read. Labels although quite small on motherboard are easy to read and work the first time. Of course, I had a lot of practice with the 626mb. This is my second Jetway motherboard. I think I will continue to stick with this brand until they decide to go out of business. Ordered two other name brand mb's which simply were DOA. I simply will not order from them again even with the free shipping. This was a total waste of time and effort.

3 out of 5 eggsGood performance, that's about all.

Pros: As stated the performance is "good". An actual installation guide is included.

Cons: #1: DIMM sockets are mediocre at best. You must be very careful inserting RAM in these!

#2: No "quiet boot" option that I can find. I even sent a query to tech@jetwaycomputer.com w/no response. (No response from any tech team angers me!)

#3: While they do send a guide I cringed a bit seeing that they assume end users (do-it-yourselfers) will know the difference between a square peg and a round peg on a drawing, or that "vcc5" indicates positive rather than simply using "+" & "-" to define front panel LED connectors.

#4: I have to "fiddle" with the speaker connection to achieve sound, tried a different set of speakers and got the same result. It's brand new, if I have to "fiddle" now what's it going to be like a year from now.

Conclusion: overall mediocre at best. The worst to me is the lack of answering a request at their own designated tech address! While this build is for myself the lack of a "quiet" boot option would be troubling to most people I install for.

Other Thoughts: This may be my first RMA with NewEgg, I'm undecided.

This was my first Jetway product and may well be my last.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Inexpensive, plenty fast

Cons: One IDE channel, though this is pretty much a problem with every board out there making upgrading an existing PC with multiple optical drives a great challenge

Other Thoughts: Used this board to replace a dead board in an HP case. Tested with XP running a couple of VMs, currently running CentOS and it more than meets my needs for a web and file server.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Very low energy consumption.
CPU runs basically at room temperature.
Faster than I expected.

Cons: no gigabit

Other Thoughts: Have it running for 2 weeks now, no complaints.

I've got Ubuntu running on this board with two 500GB hard drives and 1GB of RAM. I've plugged in a belkin PCI gigabit card for faster transfer rates. I use it as a networked storage box, and it also runs Transmission bittorrent client. Only 2 sata connectors, but I will add more with PCI adapters.
