5 out of 5 eggsWorked as a replacement for a dead HP board

Pros: Had a customer with a Vista HP computer with a hosed motherboard. Since she was on a limited income I had her get this as a replacement so she wouldn't have to buy a new computer, and this was compatible with her CPU, RAM and hard drive. I just had to reactivate Windows and install the drivers and it's been running great for months.

Cons: Trying to find the CPU support was difficult. I couldn't find if her Athlon X2 was supported on the website. Took a phone call to find out, and two people.

Other Thoughts: I see this is now a deactivated newegg product, but for a replacement board in a HP and wanting to keep the CPU and RAM this worked great and was cheap.

5 out of 5 eggsSo Cheap and so good

Pros: very inexpensive and everything installed great. Works with my old chip so my grandma can have a computer that's decent now. So many colors its a pretty thing.

Cons: not sure even on board video is good. It played 1080 off youtube on a 24 inch screen!

Other Thoughts: maybe its me but the wirless card say's it's not hooked up and its clearly in their so I'm going to try the other pci slot.

3 out of 5 eggsMeh

Pros: Low price, stable (so far). The two I've purchased have worked, but for the price, there are better boards.

Cons: I purchased two of these and couldn't get one to work with a dedicated video card. I tried three different cards and none of them would work with this board. The drivers CD software is crummy. I had to install some of the drivers manually. The Jetway website is weak too. Not nearly as well put together as ASUS, GIGABYTE, ASRock or Biostar. Only supports 2GB DDR2 DIMMS so you're limited to 4GB total.

Other Thoughts: Not a bad board for the price, but I probably won't be comming back for seconds.

1 out of 5 eggsgreat till they die

Pros: Jetway boards are low cost and have many nice features.

Cons: I build systems for small to meduim sized businesses and have purchased and installed many Jetway motherboards. However, now after a year or so, they are all dying. They have caused corrupted databases and slowed down networks. Its a nightmare.

Other Thoughts: Dont buy Jetway.

5 out of 5 eggsJetway has done me right again!

Pros: I actually just installed this board, but have an earlier version of this exact board that I bought from Newegg a few years ago and it has been fantastic. I needed to build another PC for my kids room and with this motherboard it was an easy build. The board fits well in the NZXT case and fired right up without any issues (I'm using it right now).

Cons: If you install a large video card forget about using SATA ports 1 & 2 because they will be directly under the back of the video card (wasn't a problem for me cause I only have 2 SATA devices installed).

Other Thoughts: Jetway is a value brand but this motherboard is a great buy. Mine looks exactly like the picture.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This is a good motherboard. It is inexpensive, and works great. A real bargain for the money. I actually like the board very much.

Cons: However, there are two drawbacks on this board. My biggest problem with it is the fact that one of the memory slots came dead on arrival. It never worked. So, am having to get by with having just one stick of memory.
The Video is not the greatest, but could live with that. But because of these two factors, can give it only 3 eggs.

Other Thoughts: The small form factor gives more room in the case.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Fast & easy build. If you've ever assembled a PC before, this one is a piece of cake.

Includes an ATA port and, miracle of miracles, a floppy port as well! If there's someone you know who still has a stack of 3 1/2" disks and needs to be able to read them, you wouldn't go wrong with this one.

Cons: For $40, there are no cons. It's a very basic board, and the manual has those charming turns of phrase found only when the original author isn't writing in his or her first language.

Other Thoughts: BIOS presents a fair number of options I'll be examining in the next few days; some suggest that the Sempron I installed might be getting a bit of a workout...

4 out of 5 eggsSweet

Pros: Inexpensive am2+ mobo, overclocks surprisingly well with the right memory. 4 Sata ports and ATA legacy port.

Cons: You'll have a rough time if you use sata ports 1/2 with a video card that takes up 2 slots. (I couldn't get it to work, unless I wanted to snap off the sata connector on the board) Luckily I had an old 4850 that takes up only 1 slot laying around.

Doesn't have any x1 slots. (The price is too good though, I only deducted 1 egg for the videocard/sata issue)

Other Thoughts: Replaced a defective ECS board after their tech support wouldn't give me an RMA# for over 3 weeks. (What a joke.)

This ended up doing the job and would saved me time and money in the process. (RMA would have cost half the cost to ship and triple the time plus I use this machine to DO WORK!)
