Awesome Motherboard
- Pros: Awesome price for the mobo. Very easy install with Win XP SP2. Runs my Phenom X3 2.1 very well and very cool. Easy setup to take all my hardware, very nice on board video. After all the bios updates this board can handle Phenom II's, so when I get the money to buy a Deneb class Phenom II, this board will take it. I bought mine open box from NewEgg, and it has performed flawlessly.
- Cons: For the price I can think of any cons. Also for mine being open box I am extremely happy with my purchase, Thank you NewEgg
- Other Thoughts: My system Specs are:
AMD Phenom X3 2.1 500 gig Seagate SATA hdd 3gb of pc8300 (soon to be upgraded to the 1066) VisionTek ATi 4550hd 512 meg DDR3 video card 16x DVD-RAM superdrive 550 Watt BFG Modular PSU Antec 900 series Gamers Case will all fan bays installed
DON'T DO IT
- Pros: It worked beautifully for slightly over a year.
- Cons: It died mysteriously, exactly two and one-half weeks after the warranty ended.
- Other Thoughts: My motherboard was a PE-AM2RS690MH, Pure Element w/ 690G chipset and HDMI port. I'm not critiquing the exact model being sold here, just Sapphire boards in general. They only offer a one year warranty on their boards (two on their graphics cards). That is pretty pathetic. Anyway, my board died of unknown causes very shortly after the warranty ran out. Not even Sapphire could tell me what was wrong with it, and it had a debug port just like this one. This was my first and last Sapphire product purchase. I do not trust them to make a quality product and I will never buy Sapphire again. I am writing this immediately after installing a new motherboard that comes with a LIFETIME warranty. Don't get conned by these guys. Buy something else. (This review does not deserve the one egg I gave it, but Newegg will not allow me to give it none)
Perfect Micro ATX
- Pros: This board is a great one at that, runs pefectly smooth and very easy to set up in the bios.
also has "Hybried Crossfire" which is a really nice spec. "takes on card and turn it into two at X16 just like a duel PCIE board" when i build another computer i am using this board. asl having to ability to use a AM2+.
- Cons: None at all, prefect board
- Other Thoughts: Running a Sapphire ATI 3870 with an AM2 6000+ and 4 gigs of DDR2, running on a HDMI port to a 42" HDTV just runs beautiful. havnt tried Crisis yet, but i will.
