5 out of 5 eggsHow to overclock the dual-2

Pros: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16835118204

Buy the zalman 92mm fan and mount...point it at the chipset coolers on the mobo, THEY GET HOT...currently running my opteron 2.6 at 2.9 (226fsb, 1150 htt)...and oh yea, if you don't have at LEAST a 550W power supply, you're out of luck on the O.C.

Cons: OUT OF STOCK...available on e-gripe for about 50% more than I'll pay for a USED board...

Other Thoughts: I'm STILL wondering how people can attempt overclocking without LEARNING WHY it fails...they seem to blame the parts for their lack of knowledge.

5 out of 5 eggsReliable and long lasting

Pros: I have 4 of these and they have been very reliable. Overclocking is very easy with this board, but I didn't buy this board for extreme gaming or overclocking...just reliability.

Cons: None. They are what I expected.

Other Thoughts: Board quality is very good for an inexpensive board.

1 out of 5 eggsLasted for 7 months

Pros: Worked great after upgraded computer.

Cons: Computer began acting strange, like a component was not connected correctly. Found a heat-sink hanging on the motherboard. One of the connecting "rivets" was gone. This was not the processor heat sink but a heat sink integral to the M B.

3 out of 5 eggscheap mobo for cheap price

Pros: works, mild overclocker.

Cons: Doesn't last very long.

I had two systems with these mobos. One lasted a year and a half and one lasted just several months.

Other Thoughts: They are good mobos. They just don't last that long.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: This board has never given me any problems. And I'm running Vista Ultimate on it and it loads just as fast with vista as my DFI lanparty running xp, and I'm running SATA 3gb/s on the DFI and ATA133 on this board.

Cons: Not so good for overclocking though it will do it. ASRock has not updated the drivers for Vista, the only problem i have is with the lan driver, it takes 20-30 minutes after logging in for it to connect to the internet but with XP it works fine.

Other Thoughts: Got my 4400+ X2 @ ~2.4GHz stable with this board but backed off because i only have stock cooling.

2 out of 5 eggsDon't Waste Your Time

Pros: Well cofigured, runs cool. Once it loads Windows (slow) it runs stable.

Cons: This is my 5th computer build. This is the SLOWEST loading board I ever saw. The AGP drivers supplied on the disk will crash the install.

Other Thoughts: Will NEVER buy another board from ASRocks. The crappiest board I ever had. Going back to Gigabyte mobos as soon as I can afford one.

5 out of 5 eggsASrock is a solid board

Pros: This board is a quality product allowing you to use socket 939 with your older DDR400 RAM, AGP, and IDE hard drives. However, you can also upgrade your video card to PCI express and use SATA when you are ready to do so. Couple of other things I've found out, this is the only board out there that doesn't sacrifice performance to provide the dual features AGP/PCIE and IDE/SATA. This is a fantastic motherboard for the money, you just can't beat it. You can even use PCI express and AGP at the same time! I would buy this board again, I just wish it natively supported AM2.

Cons: No gigabit. Also you must buy a duaghter board to support AM2. That daughterboard will then take new RAM and the new Processor. From what I've seen that daughterboard is cheap, like $50 I think, but still that's almost as much as the motherboard itself!

Other Thoughts: I have truly enjoyed this board, I have Athlon FX-55, overclocked to and FX-57, the board also allows you to overclock the hypertransport, so I'm running at 1Ghz instead of 800Mhz. Board allows asynchronys overclocking.

5 out of 5 eggsSad Sack

Pros: I purchased 2 of these. One I have had for over a year. Great went from AGP to PCI. Running a X2 3800+ Can still go to AM2 with expansion board.

Cons: They no longer make these boards. I emailed the company and was told they are out of production. I have seen a few on the internet but they was too much $$$$ for them.

Other Thoughts: This was a really cool board and nice chipset. Too bad its days have been numbered. Hoepfully the chipset will continue to survive. I see New Egg has these still listed as out of stock. Now does this mean they will be getting more in???? If not please take them off your web site. I would like to purchase another one and seeing it on your site out of stock is nothing but a tease.

4 out of 5 eggsUpdate-6 Months Later

Pros: AGP and PCIE video card slots. I ran my 9700 Pro in this board until I replaced it with an X1950 Pro.

Cons: First board was bad. Newegg sent me a replacement promptly. It's been smooth sailing ever since.

Other Thoughts: I reviewed this board back in October of 2006. The first board was unstable. Could not even boot up. The second board has been stable for over 6 months now.
