5 out of 5 eggsgood product

Pros: This thing has been through hell, and back. I will have to say that this has been an outstanding mobo for the price at the time.

Cons: wish it had more memory slots.

Other Thoughts: Asrock has very good customer service imo, was always very helpful for me.

3 out of 5 eggsGood, but not great

Pros: The ones that do work run beautifully, just like they should. Quick, quiet, fast and cheap, definitely a good office PC, even a good start for a "build as you go" cheap gaming system.

Cons: I've built 5 PC's based on this board in the past few months and had two DOA boards. The delays caused some problems with my customers.

Other Thoughts: If I could be certain I wouldn't get another DOA, I'd keep building systems based on this board. As I've had two in a row fail before the first POST finished... I'm a bit uncertain.

1 out of 5 eggsPretty Much Junk

Pros: It hasn't completely stopped working yet.

Cons: BSOD all the time in WinXP attributed to junky RAID/SATA drivers. Fix for this issue is to just not install these drivers, which isn't a very good fix. Everything still functions with Windows default drivers, I would just assume it would be faster and more stable with actual chipset drivers.

Other Thoughts: For a word processor or internet machine it's fine. Couldn't recommend it for much more.

1 out of 5 eggsIt suppose to be easy

Pros: I didn't have a chance to find one

Cons: The board was DOA...

Other Thoughts: As some of the previous reviews it didn't work at all. The power is up the CPU fan speening but to video signal to the monitor. The CPU heatsink was cold it looks like this model has problem with the BIOS chip. The NEW EGG as usually is very quick and their customer service is outstanding. I am waiting for replacement.....hope the next one will work.

5 out of 5 eggsThe art of overclocking

Pros: This Mobo I have is stuck in my freezer and I have it overclocked to 800Ghz with my AMD PhenomX4 2.6 Ghz Black Edition with a Gazillion Gigawatts P/S. Not for the faint of heart or n00bs. I can play Call to Duty 4, Call to Duty 5, and Call to Duty 6 all at the same time.

Cons: Takes up space in my freezer that could be used for meat. Trying to explain to neo-phytes how vastly superior my skills are and just RT*M.

Other Thoughts: I actually find useful information from some users, I just don't overclock or stress my system too much. I use an AMD Athlon 64 x2 5000 2.6 Ghz with 2GB RAM. It runs great, play some Starcraft and some AOE, watch some Star Trek off the Inter-tubes and love it. Runs Fedora 10 flawlessly.

1 out of 5 eggsCheap Mobo

Pros: Cheap, Integrated Video

Cons: You get what you pay for. This motherboard's CMOS corrupted on day 33. The motherboard is now dead and out of warranty.

Other Thoughts: I would not recommend this motherboard unless you are extreamly poor and cheap. Even then, paying 10 dollars more for a better motherboard would probably have been a better investment...

5 out of 5 eggsSweet MLB

Pros: *6* external USB ports, HD audio. Great built-in graphics means you don't HAVE to buy a video card. Snap-in rear access port included. Well made.

Cons: Manual doesn't explain BIOS setting well, so amateurs may be left scratching their heads. Otherwise, no complaints.

Other Thoughts: Nice board for the cost... nice board, period. Driver CD includes RAID drivers, making RAID configuration simple. Most settings are BIOS configurable; only a couple of jumpers.

An easy 5-egg vote!

5 out of 5 eggsWhy spend more?

Pros: My 15th build using Asrock boards, as usual it went without a hitch. Installed XP to sataII drive without any F6 garbage! $45 bucks cant be beat. The bios is simple to set up yet accomadating for overclocking. Ordered on sunday received on tuesday. Newegg is awesome as usual. Built this system for my neighbor for email and such, Athlon 64 X2 5000, Asus dvd burner, WD160Gb sataII, 1Gb Kingston DDR2800, Rosewill case W/PS, all for under 250. Been playing FarCry for 2 Hours and the graphics are allright for a 6150... Couldnt believe it.

Cons: Asrock isnt big on fan power connecters, just have to connect directly to PS

Other Thoughts: Why would anyone pay 85 for something comparable???
Asrock is Asus's baby sibling after all so quality is great. Newegg is the best online site ever!!!!!
