4 out of 5 eggsIt runs and runs . . .

Pros: Very reliable! I used this motherboard in my living room as a media server and SETI batch computer. It runs 24/7/365. I've run it for years at 30% capacity without anything more than a good cleaning without issue.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: If it could handle 12GB or 16GB it would be even better.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks

Pros: The only G43 chipset board with DDR2/DDR3 memory, Pcie 2.0 and floppy drive connector (yes I know.) On board VGA delivers 4.6 windows 7 graphic rating, good enough for internet surfing and online video.

Cons: Front USB ports provide only 1X power. Need to use 2 ports to power the 2.5" external hard drive. Almost returned board due to this issue. Plug in external hard drive and unable to read. Re-plug on back connector and win7 recognized drive. Pulled out an old usb cable with an extra usb power connector and the drive works in the front port.

Other Thoughts: Runs fine with quad-core Q9400, 4GB ddr3 (see other feedbacks for memory remap bios setting to get full use of memory,) win7 64 bits. Unusual power setting in bios. Cons above is a let down since I've been buying ASRock board starting with the K7VM3.

2 out of 5 eggsBaD DeSigN

Pros: I know ASRock boards are pretty good, that's why I gave 3 stars...

Cons: Big video cards could no be installed due to power connectors positioning, they are right on the way, and card would not slide in the port

Only two slots for each memory type

Other Thoughts: Don't buy

4 out of 5 eggsWork Like a Charm

Pros: The board worked like a charm. I droped an old Core 2 Quad in with 8GB DDR3 1066 RAM. Everything worked on the first push of the button.

Cons: I did not like the book for the MB. It did no have a complete board layout like I am used to with Intel and Gigabyte has.
I do not understand why they located the Audio Connector that is used to connect the front case audio connectors at the very back of the board almost under the video card. First this made it difficult to connect if the video card was already installed or is you installed the video card after connecting this cable then you have to work around this cable. In addition, if you wanted to install a video card and a PCI expansion card this audio connector cable runs in between the two cards.

1 out of 5 eggs2 ASROCK now, both dead

Pros: Maybe good if it works

Cons: DOA

Other Thoughts: I bought this locally, not from Newegg. I bought 2 ASROCK MB in my lifetime, both were dead. Replaced each one with Gigabyte and fired right up. No more ASROCK for me, pay a few bucks more and get a Gigabyte or Asus board, they are worth it.

3 out of 5 eggsNice, but has limitations

Pros: Plenty of USB headers and SATA connections. Built sturdy and BIOS is easily configured.

Cons: Download the manual from the manufacturer and review memory requirements. If all 4 slots are used, system is lower performance.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This is a pretty solid board if you are only looking for the features it offers. I had no issues with the board for leaving the settings at stock.

Cons: Overclocking...This board has a lot of BIOS options for overclocking, but it cannot overclock that much at all. I bought this is a cheap temporary replacement for my system and I can only take a Q9650 to 9x349...Anything higher requires me to reset the CMOS no matter how much voltage is given to ram, cpu, northbridge, etc... Perhaps it is related to the hot chipset? According to the sensor in hardware monitor it is idling at 75C...the heatsink is hot to the touch. Or perhaps it is a limit with 333fsb CPUs...At least I can undervolt my CPU...

Other Thoughts: For those that are having 'RAM' issues(IE you have 4GB installed, but only 3.2GB is showing up). Enable "Memory Remap Feature" under Advanced> Chipset Configuration...I had the same issue and I enabled that and I had my full 4GB.

It is a good motherboard for what it is, but it blows at overclocking. I give it 4 eggs since it is not broken.
